Crown - I am all about eating things that taste like they are bad for you, but really they aren't! So bring on the fired twinkies!!! :D

Seawaters, so sorry to hear about your Aunt.

I am ready for some warm weather! I'm tired of cuddle duds, earmuffs, 2 pair of gloves, a scarf, a sweatshirt & heavy coat just to go for a walk in the morning! We aren't supposed to get a break from the cold anytime soon. At least normally this time of year we will get a day here & there where it's warmer. Not looking good!! Ah well...it is what it is!! The water is supposed to be turned back on at the lake this weekend, but not sure that will happen this year. Too cold! :(

It's cold here again too. However, all the Tulip Trees are starting to bloom, and the willows are starting to get green. We have the Spring Peepers (tiny little frogs) singing at night too. All we need now is just a little warmer weather.

Good afternoon everyone,first day back at work and it's kind of a bad one. the weather was awful this morning so we could not do any take-offs/landings. But now it looks like it will clear up..more rain on the way weds,thursday! and we need it so bad so I am grateful. I will plant my garden on Good Friday,my grandfather always did that so It's a tradition I still do when I plant mine. so the soil should be good and damp! Have a good day everyone!

The roller derby last night was awesome - I'm officially addicted! We sat right at the edge, and at one point one of the roller girls slid right into my lap...scared the crap out of me! But it was still really cool. Afterwards, we went to some friends' house and had some drinks and played Trivial Pursuit.

Today has been relatively low-key. The weather is overcast, rainy and cool (which I wasn't expecting, considering this is FLORIDA, haha) so that has kinda affected our original plans. We're probably going shopping later, one of my most favorite activities! Hope everyone is having a great Monday!

With 119 days to go there is still no news on christmas in july shows. I have searched the shopping channel websites, vendor websites, and everywhere else I could think of but I still haven't found any hints on what the plans are for this year.

i hope u all had a nice day so far....kandice and i have been low key....been doin housework, tryin out a new dish for dinner which kandice loved and been watching old german movies from the 50s and 60s.....those movies are kinda corny...but i love em (better dont tell my friends...they´ll think I lost my mind...lol)
 
Good afternoon, everyone. It is sunny with intermittent clouds. I am glad to be home from work. I guess my kiddos weren't the best with the sub this morning. As Scotty says in the Little Rascals, "They'll never learn." It is still a little cool outside, so our windows are closed. I do hear someone's lawn mower going, though. I have to spend some time finding my car keys. Can't remember where I put them. TTFN>
 
Brent, I know one day you will be back with us. I don't know when that will be, but when you come back...you will see this!

Lucky you! I love to shop in thrift stores and find wonderful items like that! I once found a cutting board that had a center insert with sharp prongs. You put your turkey or any other meat on it and it is easy to slice the meat! I think I paid 50 cents for it. At the same time, I cound a bread warmer from the 60s, silver with a knob on top that turns to open vents in the top. That was 50 cents, too!.

I really need to get to a thrift store, I love vintage stuff, especially Christmas stuff.

Sorry about your aunt.

I have the same goal, posting at least once a day, so far so good here, ironically, I think the last time I didn't post was December 25.
