Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good evening, everyone. It is so nice that we still have the doors and windows open at almost 7 p.m.

Do any of you guys know ANYONE who is a special kind of stupid? Well, the powers that be at my school has decided that teachers have to change classrooms. Fourth graders will be in the 100 wing, 3rd graders in the 200 wing, 2nd graders in the 300 wing, and 1st graders in the 400 wing. This means that the MAJORITY of teachers has to change classrooms this summer!! What is so (may I use the word?) stupid is that the sinks and water fountains in the 100 and 200 wings are shorter than the other ones because they were built for the younger kiddos!!!!! So those of us with bigger kids will have little sinks and water fountains while those of the smaller will have taller sinks and water fountains!!! In addition, the district will pay the maintenance people to move us, but teachers must help with no pay!!! Dontja just love politics??

DD got her yellow belt in karate class last night. She was so excited & wanted to know how to get the other color belts. We never told her about getting a new color belt when she took her test. She just thought she was supposed to take a test. I figured it might make her nervous if she thought a new belt was on the line. We told her she has to pay attention & concentrate to learn new, harder things so she can pass the tests for other belts. We'll see how it goes. She's been going to class for four months now.

It is snowing like CRAZY! Blowing & snowing...is it really April in 2 days??? Looks like I should have brought "sleighride" coffee to the pines today!!!

The weatherheads are saying we will be getting snow on Friday. Nice April Fool's joke Mother Nature. cheesy

Again I'm jealous...but enjoy the snow guys! ATTN:merrycarey and Xmas 365:you guys are in line for a snow storm on friday..no april fools joke either! I think there is a Nor'Easter a comin!

I remember when I was kid we got a snowstorm in April, school was canceled, and I remember listening to Christmas music and decorating a tree. We even got gifts, I was given a pound of hamburg by my mother. I think that was in 1987. Ahh memories.

It's cold in this house and I am about to make us banana smoothies in my new Vita Mix. I love that thing! We will all be freezing after we eat them. I make them healthy with almond milk, almonds, flax seed, nutritional yeast and coconut sugar. It taste very unhealthy but it's not! The kids LOVE IT and ask for them all the time.

I guess I should be making something warm but we are wanting a chilly drink. cheesy

Does almond milk taste like regular milk?
I have seen it for sale at my store and have always wondered about it.

I just saw this on the news. They said it was the second time it has happened to her. I don't know if I would have ever went into my backyard again after the first time.

So much for lightning doesn't strike twice, that is strange the same thing happened to her twice.

been playing some super mario bros on the wii with kandice...I am watching a documentary about Hitler and his allies.....even tho I´ve seen stuff about i t so often....it never stops being creepy to me....I hope he is still being punished by God

My wife has had to move her room almost every summer since she got hired, it is such a pain, each time.

Got home from work, just winding down watching a Spring Training game of the Red Sox, Baseball for real tomorrow, Red Sox fans Friday. Work was a little hectic, the woman who was supposed to be in early called out, so I was behind the 8 ball all day.

It is probably time I take my last 2 Santa Claus decorations down, my wife hasn't said anything yet, but the Easter Bunny may hop away with one if I keep them up.
But don't they say it's good luck if you keep a Santa Claus displayed year round?
Well, I should probably get to bed soon, morning comes quickly.

In the picture of the hole there is a piece of pipe that looks like it might be for a sprinkler system. So I am wondering if it had a slow leak over time and caused the sink hole.

It is probably time I take my last 2 Santa Claus decorations down, my wife hasn't said anything yet, but the Easter Bunny may hop away with one if I keep them up.
But don't they say it's good luck if you keep a Santa Claus displayed year round?

I leave one of my Santa's out all year and the easter bunny has never bothered it.

What a night at the pines!!!! I took full advantage of the 3 for 1 sale on fired twinkies. Carl had another coffee besides the veggie one this week. It had a bit of a sour taste to it but it was good. Once again he wouldn't tell me what was in it but I am pretty sure it wasn't moonshine this time. Now I am off to finish watching Ghost Hunters!!
