I was reading in my local paper of the lady in florida who fell in a sink hole in her own yard! luckily she had her cell phone in her hand. Just thinking about that makes me claustraphobic. I guess the ground was saturated and gave way when she walked across the yard. She is okay luckily they got her out. Hope everyone has a great day!

I just saw this on the news. They said it was the second time it has happened to her. I don't know if I would have ever went into my backyard again after the first time.

been playing some super mario bros on the wii with kandice...I am watching a documentary about Hitler and his allies.....even tho I´ve seen stuff about i t so often....it never stops being creepy to me....I hope he is still being punished by God

Not only that, but the kitchen is overstocked on fired twinkies so a 3-for-1 sale is being offered. You don't want to miss that!

More about Smokey, the UK cat who may have the world's loudest purr---she has her own website, Smokey the Purring Cat.

ATTN:merrycarey and Xmas 365:you guys are in line for a snow storm on friday..no april fools joke either! I think there is a Nor'Easter a comin!

We had a two-foot snowstorm on April Fool's Day in 1996 (IIRC), so it CAN happen. I've got my fingers crossed that we're close enough to Boston to get rain ... but I think xmas365 is definitely in the snow zone on this one ...

No worries, everyone gets one of these cups tonight at The Pines filled with your favorite beverage!

Yay! I'll be there when work is over. Save me a Twinkie!

Hello :)

To everyone getting snow - please be careful! Back home in PA, word is they're supposed to be getting snow...so glad I'm not there right now! cheesy We've been dealing with rain all day here in Gainesville, which has really helped put a damper on what was supposed to be a good day. :-?

The dress shopping went well, but could've gone a lot better. Megan kinda is depressed over it...she said it only felt like she was playing dress-up and not really going WEDDING DRESS SHOPPING, which is what she thought she'd feel. I couldn't really say anything to her, because personally I had a great time!! Her mother though...the woman couldn't even fake a smile and the whole time just complained about the money Megan would be "wasting" and how she didn't want to be there...I think that's another reason Megan is depressed. I'm not normally a violent person, but her mother really made me want to get to that point! (She reminds me a lot of my own mom, who I have told up front I don't want her going dress shopping with me when the time comes. I don't want that kind of negativity during a time that's supposed to be fun and happy.) Maybe that's a bit harsh...but I can't imagine a mother being that way during this happy time.

Meg did find a dress she really liked, but due to timing circumstances, it wouldn't be ready by the time she is getting married in September. For anyone who's interested, the dress is here: http://www.morilee.com/bridals/bridal/2172 (the one she tried on in the store was gold/silver colored, but it looked more like champagne). We also found a very strong contender for a bridesmaid dress...you can see it here: http://www.jasminebridal.com/J_2_1_...006&j_line_no=LINE20080821017&j_line_season=F (the color she wants is on the color chart under Peony). So while it was a productive day, it's sad that she feels the way she does right now.

Tonight we'll be going over to some friends' house to play Dance Central on their new Kinect. I'm the only one who's played before so I'm very excited!! Have a good night, everyone!

Both of those dresses are divine!!! Has she tried to find the bride's dress elsewhere? Love the color of your dress.

I was a senior in college when I got married. I lived 300 miles from school, so Mother went shopping for my gown. I came home, loved it, tried it on, had the dress made a tad smaller, and was so happy with the choice!

Both of those dresses are divine!!! Has she tried to find the bride's dress elsewhere? Love the color of your dress.
