Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's unseasonably cool this morning...we had a frost last night! It's only just now at 40°. Nice!

Last night was the first Tuesday in the month, which means family-night supper at my inlaw's. They are a LARGE family, and Mrs. Hilda cooks for all of us on that night. I think there were only 15 - 16 of us last night, though. We had black-eyed peas & creamed corn, both of which Mrs. Hilda put-up last year, homemade biscuits, new Vidalia sweet onions and thick-cut bacon...yum, yum! It's no wonder I have to exercise just keep from ballooning away!

Sounds like a good time and good food. Our inlaws and us tried to do a large family meal each month, but that has seem to fallen out of favor as of late. :?

Got assigned a truck so I will soon be heading out on the road. Just waiting for my partner to finish up her training.cheesy
I am supposed to go out and get it loaded up with my stuff and practice backing today, but will have to call first and see if it is ready to go.

Good Mid-Week-Shispering Pines-Anticipating Morning, Everybody!

Yes, indeedy! The peak-of-the-week has been reached.
And Carl tells me the view to the weekend is great from the 'Pines rooftop deck this morning with clear skies and lots of sun.
Can we count on Carl for an accurate description or is he just trying to drum up business for his employer?

Regardless, here is something we can ALL count on:
Days to the Season: 221
Days to Christmas Day: 263
Three weeks from today -- the 200-Day Season window opens!
UNDER 3 weeks now from the 1/3 Christmas Day marker!

Well, it may or may not be sunny at the 'Pines but it certainly is here!
A brilliant sun presides over chilly temps here in the capital city at this hour where it has taken us over 2 hours to move from 40 degrees to 42.
Sixty-Seven is predicted for this afternoon. Hopefully, that will prove accurate.

I slept like a rock last night for the most part, I have my evening shift today, just another day of doing a lot of work and getting nothing accomplished to look forward to. I am so glad to have Merry Christmas Radio back, it is nice to listen to it again. I already did the tidying up around the house, so relaxing until I leave.

As per usual there is one day a week I just can't seem to fall asleep. It varies from week to week but for this week that day is today. I don't understand how someone could be THIS TIRED and still not able to sleep. Anyway, I hope you all have a great day...xo

Good afternoon all! Ill be stopping by the pines today. Carl informed me of the secret blend. He told me not to tell but it sounds ...lets just say "interesting". heh-heh. I'm soon to be an Uncle. My Sisters baby Madison Rose should be arriving early next month! Oh how I will spoil her just like I spoil my Son William LOL. Ill post pics once the grand event happens. Back at work again today. As Kermit the Frog says "Sheesh"...Oh and speaking of that I bet NONE of you know this about me. I do a KILLER SPOT ON Kermit the Frog impression. Guys at work want me to do it all the time. Well there is a useless tidbit for ya! haha. Back to work! At least I have coffee right now! Have a great day everyone and meet me at the pines!
