My wife and I saw that movie too. I told her that I remember watching the Triple Crown that year, that horse was amazing. I was just a kid at the time, but it made me a Triple Crown watcher every year. I'm not a horse racing fan, but I do try to watch the Triple Crown. I grew up just about a mile from the Pimlico race track ( where they run the Preakness). We could hear the track announcer in my back yard, but I never went there, went by it several times, but never inside.

I've been to Saratoga, but it was closed on Tuesdays, we went to the Horse Racing Hall of Fame instead, which was awesome.

This morning I saw a fawn in the backyard and one of the feral tom cats was watching me drink my coffee. He is very talkative - you can track him as he meows his way through the woods and around the barn

All the sad talk about dogs....let me give you some good news...true story...happened today.

There was this big storm and outside the school was this little puppy who was whinging and begging to come in. i couldn't take it, so I took her home. After school, I check around trying to find her home with no luck. So I took her to the vet and had her checked out. I came home, put her on facebook, and gave her to one of the best kids in school! She was so happy. They had two other dogs and there were two young boys in the house. They will be happy for quite some time!

Good evening,

I had a rough day at work, sometimes I wish I didn't take the promotion, I work so hard all day, and never have a sense of accomplishment. At least I have the day off tomorrow, LC has his 3 year check up, which will be fun since he hates going to the doctor's office, I will treat him to BK that has an indoor playground after the visit.

I am getting ready for bed pretty soon,I am trying to get in a habit of at least staying up until 10 pm so I will not wake up at 3 or 4...we will see. Hope everyone has a great night sleep and a good morning tomorrow!

It starts out funny but ends sad.

Why do I torture myself like this! I have been resisting the urge to watch this all day,and I finally gave in. And they even play that sad song too. Sad thing is minus the dog actually packing a bag and leaving home,so many people and kids have pets but do not spend time with them you will find they do beg for attn like that.GRRR

I hope all goes well for you with LC's appointment tomorrow. Hang in there with your job. I know how tough it is !!!

I know. That video breaks my heart too. If we could only save them all...........But we CAN pay attention to our own and support no kill shelters and such ........xo

Good morning everyone! it did not work! I mean going to bed at 10 instead of 8 did not prevent me from waking up3 hours before I have to go to work. Maybe I am just one of those people who need 6 hours sleep? I guess as long as I continue to feel good during the day I will go to sleep at 8 or 9 or when I feel like it. SO far it is 63F outside.I'mguessing cloudy as we just had a rain shower. still a chance of rain until noon when it is suppose to clear up. the 10 day forecast calls for sunny warm but not hot temps. which is great! but little to no rain chance which is normal for April. Still cannot believe we are in April already! gosh can't wait until October rolls around! Hope everyone has a good second day of the work week!

I can go for about a week sleeping 6 hours a night but then it starts catching up with me.
