Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good afternoon - hope your day is going great!

My fast is almost done - in my family, we don't eat or drink anything from noon to three on Good Friday. It used to be so hard to do when I was little, but now the time goes by fairly fast. It is just a little way to honor the reason for this day.

Good Good Friday afternoon, my Christmas friends!

Did I say I had a touch of the stomach bug? Hooowee! I had a whole fist-full! I was up all night. I feel a little better today, but still drained and dizzy. I expect to be back on my game by tomorrow, though.

I gotta lotta Easter eggs to eat Sunday!

Our Easter will be a "holiday" in name only! I have to come in to work tomorrow (probably more than 8 hours, too), and Mr. is on call for HIS office on Sunday. Isn't that awful? LAST weekend would have been a working weekend too, if I hadn't been excused because we were expecting guests. Well, I've got plans the next two weekends, so there ...

Hello, all. I forgot to mention the other day that we stopped for gas and bought 12 gallons of gas. It was a little over $59.00!!!!!! How awful!
 
Good good friday yay! lol. We have a leak under the kitchen sink I have to fix. Stores are not open so our awesome neighbor came over to give us a hand. I had to leave for work at the time. We just need a new tap. But Im at work and we are busy so have a great good friday all!!!

That is something my grandfather did(good friday planting) and he had a huge garden like the size of a football field..Mine is just a small one. last year I planted tomatos,onion,potato and corn. I think I will do the same this year but add peas and possibly later in the summer put in some pumpkins. Anyhow I have pages upon pages to catch up reading on. You guys are the greatest! It is a gray day here in Ohio and chilly which fits with Good Friday. My mother taught me that it is hardly ever sunny on Good Friday because of the day it is and at least here in Ohio she has been right nearly every year !!

I am so utterly exhausted today. I wanted to attend Good Friday services but I am not going to be able to as I am simply worn out.
Once again, a promise broken. I bet when I post there are groans....."Oh no, is she posting AGAIN about God ....." I don't blame you..........I am sorry to be a drag if I am one. If for no other reason, I talk about such things as a personal way to for honor Him and not to cause controversy or to be a zealot of sorts....

Anyway.........SO GLAD IT IS THE WEEKEND !!!! I get my hair done tomorrow..UGH...........there is so much gray I don't know if there will be enough color to go over it !!!! This job is the hardest job I have ever had. It is a good job. I just hope I can keep up with it.

Don't talk down about yourself, what you care about makes you, you. I and probably most everybody here wouldn't have it any other way. We all have our things we like to talk about, we try to show others our sides that is hard to see through typed words, I like sports, mainly hockey, binger-coffee, CAH-her training for the running, etc... (sorry if I didn't give an example for all) cheesy Don't worry about it this is a CHRISTmas site after all, without that we wouldn't have the secular or religious side of either one.

It was very, very busy at work today, more of the same tomorrow I am sure. At least I get Sunday off after working the Massachusetts limit of working no more than 6 days in a row. We are fixing our financial situation with that student loan issue, and so far I think we have done a good job trimming the fat so to say.

Good early evening, everyone. It is still overcast, breezy, and chilly. I have been working in the house and the garage, putting some of my scrapbook papers in my new storage shelves. It is looking great, and I am making a tiny bit more room in the house. I plan to put the paper to use this summer. Hope y'all have a great evening. Hubby and I are going out for a McDonald's fish sandwich for Good Friday.
 
My sister and niece's stopped by tonight and somehow when she left my niece's got left behind. So there goes my nice quiet saturday.
 
Man, cleaned house, cleaned up the truck (kinda), and ran 2.5 miles. Come home, cooked spaghetti, washed clothes. What should I do now? Ah, drink coffee and read the board! Getting ready for bed before too long!
