I was talking to my mom back in Maryland over the weekend and she told me that my aunt (her younger sister) is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. I asked her if they have treatments for it yet, but she said all they can do is slow it down, can't really do anything about it. I would like to ask for prayers for her (my aunt's name is Phyllis). I know my mom is very upset, she said "this is my baby sister!" I know this will be rough on her.

A prayer just went up for your Aunt Phyllis. I'm so sorry...

Glad to see you back! I, too, get into the spirit more now! We're just around the corner from Christmas in July! And we're more than half-way to the season - can ya believe it?

I really cannot believe it...but you know how fast goes!

I was thinking about it this morning. I thought...here we are - nearing the end of May - we are still waiting for warm weather (we are still wearing coats)...and here I am already excited about the first snowfall - and putting up my Christmas Tree...and everything that goes along with the happiness and joy of Christmas! It is soooooooo wonderful that others think and feel the same way!!!

Hey Everyone. Just getting in for the day..and its been a long one. Just getting back from the Dr office and we had the sonagram done and got to listen to the heartbeat and see the baby..it was so cool,and very very tiny!

Congratulations!!!! I don't think there is anything more exciting than that first ultrasound, seeing a brand new heartbeat flickering away! (Aside from actually meeting said baby - wow, what a feeling!)

When is the little one due?

Judesmama the duedate is jan 3rd!! I will be glad when the 2nd trimester starts... Dr said that is when morning sickness usually fades away(please please)and she also said that is when most moms to be feel thier best!

Very different from when I had a baby. Sonograms were not the thing. Only people with money would pay for one just to see if it's a boy or girl and that was not very accurate then and if there were serious health issues suspected. Other than that I only had one very early in pregnancy on my first child because they suspected something wrong and I did not get a picture. Everything turned out good though!

Technology has come a long way! Thanks for sharing!

I am, too! The one time I had an appointment for a routine check-up I got to the office at least fifteen minutes early, the hygienist was waiting outside and her first words to me were "we are waiting for you" and she had this horrifying grin on her face - all I could think of was the Twilight Zone and I would have run away, but I couldn't move.

You mean those are planters? No wonder it took a whole pot of coffee to fill it!!!

Thinking of you and your whole family. I truly hope for two cures in the world: Alzheimers and cancer.

My knee hurts if I hit it against something (like I did with the car door last week). I will be seeing the orthopedic surgeon in early June. I will soon be the Bionic Woman with so many repairs.

I hope you feel better soon! I know that knee pain can knock you off your feet! I am getting over a knee injury from jogging. Be well - and I hope you are up and running in no time!

Up here in Ontario (Canada) having a sonogram is paid for by our Health care. My "daughter-in-law" had one today - and will have another one on the 30th (to find out the gender).

Today I spent time with family, found stock for the store, did some research, talked to my ex (not easy), took a 2-mile walk, had a cherry cheesecake frappuccino (so yummy! - liquid maraschino cherries is what it tasted like to me), did another workout when I figured out how many calories were in the coffee (396), and then spent the past forty-five minutes or so trying to catch up on the posts in the Countdown. I love busy days!

Tomorrow morning I have errands to run and then I have to work. Need to get some decent sleep tonight!
