I agree! JUde is 3 and already Christmas-crazy!!! I looooove Christmas with the kids! This year they will be 16 months and 3.5, so it'll be sooo much fun!

I agree as well....sometimes I feel like I never knew Christmas before kandice was born....it makes everything just so much more special!!!

Good evening, everyone. Black, black storm clouds are gathering in the west. We have had drizzling rain off and on all day. Then the sun came out, and now black clouds. I wore a sweatshirt all day because it was cold. We had a great visit with the Missouri cousins. It is always so good to get together with family. Hope you all have a great evening.

I hope the storms didn't get too bad - black, black storm clouds sound so scary in light of all the bad weather of late!

I have to say, I am getting pretty excited for CIJ this year! We haven't had cable for the last 4 years, so while I could celebrate on my own, I was always SO jealous of the shows on tv and QVC and HSN programs. We finally got cable about 2 months ago and now I will get to enjoy with everyone else! Thats got me in the mood to start some planning and maybe do a CIJ dinner or something. But first things first, I need to get through my 4th of July party. Then it will be all Christmas plans, all of the time after that!

I'm going to watch this year, too, as I realized a little while ago that the shopping channels are among the free channels we get for still having our satellite system hooked up cheesy

Sure! In a large bowl, whisk 2 eggs until combined. Add 1/2 c oil (I use olive oil!), 1 3/4 c milk, 2 c flour (I use 1 c whole wheat, 1 c AP), 4 tsp baking powder, pinch of salt, and 1 tsp sugar, agave, or honey. I also throw in some rolled oats and flax seeds, but you don't need to do that! Put the chocolate chips in when they are in the waffle iron and cook about 4 min!

Thank you for posting this recipe - it sounds so yummy and healthy, too!!!

Good morning, my Christmas pals! I pray everyone has a safe and happy day!

It is another overcast Michigan morning here, but the temperatures are on the rise - actually warmer out than it is in the house. In honor of Mouse's birthday today I turned the furnace on for her - she is very happy! Later on I am going to run some errands and then get in a few hours of work. I'm hoping that tomorrow I can go to Frankenmuth to see the hot air balloons and watch the fireworks, but it all depends on how much I get done today.

Have a great day!!!!!!!!

Kaylin (who is also 3.5) and I were listening to Christmas music in the car the other day and we had THE cutest conversation about Mr. Grinch. She was telling me about all the things he tried to steal, but "it just didn't work Mama! 'Cuz Christmas is in our HEARTS!"

Seeing it through their eyes is just really neat. Its all so magical and exciting. Plus the joy of teaching her the true reason that we celebrate. Totally renews WHY we love the season so much.

Same with me,ive always liked christmas but never did anything special until my oldest jayden who was 3 at the time started watching the polar express and wanted anything to do with christmas after that and now 3 years on christmas is getting bigger and bigger every year in our house, having kids aged 6 and 3 gives me a great excuse as well to decorate the house from top to bottomcheesy.

Ahh, we got a good night of rest at our house last night. Today its supposed to be a hot, sunny day - up to the 90's! Eeesh, we only seem to know extremes around here in St. Louis.

Today I'm going to the gym to sign up, so I'm trying to figure out before I go what an actual schedule will be that will all me to get to the store. While I need to go and I know it will help me feel better both physically, but also taking time for ME, I can't help but think about the fact that it will take me away from my family that much more. So, I'm just trying to make sure how I can make this work before I commit to the $$ each month. Any input?

Otherwise, we're just headed over to my parents today to enjoy some grilling and then take care of the pool. It is really nice that my parents have a pool. We live about 30 min away, so it isn't something that we can use daily, but we can go once or twice a week and get in some fun in the sun. Kaylin was really becoming quite the fish last summer. I probably need to make swimming lessons a priority this summer.

Anyways, everyone enjoy your Memorial Day weekend and remember the real reason we celebrate it - not just an excuse to bbq and party, but to remember the sacrifice that the many soldiers have made for us.

I am slowly getting back to normal. I am still fighting off a sinus/allergy infection and it is so tiring, but I am feeling much better than I was. Thank you everyone for the get well wishes - they warmed my heart! cheesy

Good morning,

Procrastination big time going on here right now, I got to go out and mow the lawn before the cookout, but I got to let the sun evaporate the dew first. cheesy It has been really warm the last few days here we have had the AC on the last few evenings to cool the house down before bed. I should probably get moving, people will be here before we know it.

Have a great Sunday!

Happy B-day Mouse!

Good Morning Everyone from a race crazy central Indiana!!!!!!!!!!! It is going to be hot here today with a high of 90 predicted. It is already hotter than it has been the last 4 days here. My brother in law found someone to sell his ticket to so I get to stay home in the A/C. They actually say that the race has sold out. I can't even remember the last time that happened. Maybe some of the excitement has returned with the 100 year anniversary. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Coach- Are you ready for a day full of racing??????

You make a good point. Facebook started in 2004 and Mr. Isherwood joined them and they became worth $50 billion.

He joined here but spends all his time there and because of that we're worth about $7.50.

Imagine what we could do if he just put a little of that effort here?

C'mon, Jay. Daddy needs a new pair of shoes!

Tomorrow is Mouse's fifteenth birthday - I can't believe I have had her that long! It seems like yesterday that I would sneak her in the house and feed her extra-special food so she would get bigger. She was the runt of the litter and had the added disability of having only three paws. I worried so for her safety from predators while I was away at college. She has never acted as if she had a disability and can still run and jump and destroy my book markers. I am so blessed she is in my life!!!

Have a good-night and pleasant dreams!!!!!!!!!
