Christmas Countdown - 2011

Well, the quick trip was a blast. Glad to be home and reading the boards...sounds like everyone had a good weekend....and sounds like Made went to one heck of a party. My friend, I did too! No table dancing, but we went at it until the early hours of the morning, slept a couple of hours, and then made a trip home. When I got home, I started reading the boards and made it about two pages before I fell asleep in my chair. Two hours later, I felt rested.....great weekend. One more day before starting on next school year....plan on finishing planting flowers and such tomorrow.

Crown, I haven't seen any takers yet. If no one else volunteers, I will take it if you need me.

Hit 87 today, the warmest it has been all this year. In fact, it has been 214 days since it was this warm here. Had to turn on the sprinklers for the first time this year. What a wet spring it has been.

The Sun is trying its best to break through today - highs of apparently 60 degrees, but its still chilly.

I need to condense the christmas gifts that I have purchased as they are starting to take over my office and wardrobe space!

Today is Nancy's birthday, which means we're going out to eat this evening, and I don't have to work in the deck! Yeehaw! I get a birthday present, too!

We had cake and coffee last night for her birthday, then tonight we're going to Olive Garden with the family, then back for for coffee and tiramisu...good stuff!

Calm and peaceful here where we stand at 72 degrees under a muted sky.
Chance of rain this morning and afternoon, then it should be dry for the rest of the week which will be good for working at the cottage. It is supposed to be hot, however.
Our first renters arrive June 19.

We've got another hot one today - back into the 90's we go! I'm headed in to take the hubster to the liver doctor and then off to a shortened day of work. Nothing exciting here today. I didn't get my coffee the other day, so maybe I'll make a special stop today in between the doctors and work to perk up my day with some Christmas spirit cheesy

Good morning from Wisconsin...heading toward 87 and humid, but this morning our local forecasters have sounded the alarm for heavy thunderstorms. So I am looking out at very gray skies...blech!

Kids have a stomach bug so we won't be doing much of anything... waiting for Noel to wake up from his nap so we can take a short jog, though. Gotta enjoy the nice weather before we get slammed with heat and humidity again!

I love how you put this: a new normal. I think this is true of a lot of the events in our lives. Aptly put!

Life will eventually turn back to a new normal. Maybe never the same, but a new normal. In the mean time, there will be frustrating times and you can always come here to get those off of your chest. You, your aunt, your family, friends and community are constantly in my prayers.
