Just ignore the pile. It will go away, you know? Just hang out with us, you will have more fun. =)
18 straight days in a row of 100+ temps and there will be no relief anytime soon. My electric bill is going to kill me this month. We will make up for it during the winter when the electric bill will drop several hundred dollars, even with lots of Christmas lights!
Holiday, you mentioned tank tops at 5 am. You can wear a tank top 24/7 during the summer here. Even 3 am is still icky hot! Hopefully you will get a break from the heat soon!

I don't know of any Christmas in July goings-on in our area. Wonder if I could talk Mr. into screening something Christmassy this weekend ... If not, maybe I could throw on a DVD of Mannheim Steamroller that we got for Christmas last year but I haven't seen yet. Worst case scenario: chow down on the Terry's chocolate orange in the fridge and have some cinnamon tea.
My mom loves Terry's chocolate orange. She usually gets those every Christmas.

The animals are taken care of - too hot for them to eat, but they have plenty of water available. I will check on them again later in the afternoon. There is plenty of shade around here as we live in the woods; however, it takes a very strong breeze to get through. During the storm yesterday, it was very windy out and I heard several ominous tree cracking sounds - haven't take a walk to see what the damage is yet, too hot. I'm hoping the fruit trees are all intact yet.
All the windows are shut and the blinds are turned so the sun doesn't come in - it should keep it fairly nice if I don't move around too much. The bottom floor is cement block, so it takes a long time to heat up - it also takes a long time to cool down. I would love to use a fan, but it kicks my allergies into high gear and I can't breathe very well. I might have to turn one on for Bo, though.

what a hard but good Day ;-)
Have been this morning in the Gym and during our Workout the Radio was playing "Do They Know It's Christmas?" (Band Aid)
We want to move at the end of the year (Or in January) back to my hometown Oldenburg, in north Germany. And we have sooo many to do. So we started today to clean out..Gosh so many unnecessary things we have collected thru the years..

Hi every one 
had a not-so-great-day today. I wanted to go to the store to get more moving boxes (packed 10 of them already), but after work, I couldnt move a foot! So I stayed in bed and watched the tour the france. Hope I will feel better tomorrow!

That is the exact problem we are encountering and we are moving this summer! I can't believe we have packed 10 boxes already, and it still looks like we havn't started at all :| and also we have trown out so many lovely things, I can't believe it!
All of you and every one else who is bothered by heath: stay cool and please send us some warmth, we are missing out on summer it seens, Europe is raining away

Very hot today in Ohio......UGH....I can definitely tell our air conditioning unit is old......it seems to be struggling a bit..
Well I am getting off midnights !! I talked to one of the ladies in charge of schedules and explained that I am not doing well with night shift and she said as of July 31 I may start afternoons. I worked afternoons for 8-1/2 years at the hospital here so it should be fine and the BIG bonus is I CAN GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT !!!! I hope......
My Lily continues to do well. She and Smokey have struck up a friendship as I knew they would. In fact, I caught Smokey washing her today...(He wouldn't want me to say that.....macho cat thing I guess !) I wish she would eat a little more....she eats fine I just don't think she eats often enough. She weighs 2.6 pounds and I am watching to make sure she gets enough every day.
The chores of being a pet parent.........sigh. Actually I wouldn't have it any other way. Wish is doing well except for that very brief almost non-existant moment a few days ago which was over almost before it started.
My Chihuahua, Ivy, is snuggled up against me while I type this. She is doing well too but starting to get old - she is 13 now.

I myself hurt my back somehow. Only a dufus could hurt their back while doing a sedentary job .........Good grief. As Scrooge says in one version of a Christmas Carol "I'll retire to bedlam......."

You are not a dufus! I have had back problems since I was in my early 20's and it was always something that wasn't very streneous when I hurt it. In fact right before I read about your back, my back started hurting for no reason. Weird! Maybe it's sympathy pains? =)
My mother said the worse she ever hurt her back is when she was given a desk job. She was laid up for awhile. She hated working at a desk, she likes being on the move. As soon as she got away from the desk and back to being active, the back pain went away.
It's very weird how that happens. I hope you get well soon!
I am glad you are getting day shifts again.

Hugs and kisses to Lily! I'm not too surprised that Smokey is looking after her. Gloria's older kitty Suki kind of adopted Pumpkin when he was a kitten---I saw her washing him, too! They're my long-distance kitties.
