Christmas Countdown - 2011

just popping in to say hello and to read the daily posts!! Hope everyones tuesday was delightful!
 
Hi all,

I've been so busy with the server move and the podcast (you HAVE to hear this new one) that I haven't been able to keep up here. It is so heartwarming to hear you all fight the heat with watching the Christmas in July stuff on TV. Only here on MMC could something like that happen.

I have a couple of favors to ask of those who frequent this thread:

Have any of you heard from Xmas365? I have and he's having a problem accessing MMC since we did the server move. I tried to talk him through a few things he needed to do in order to access the site but he's having all kinds of trouble. I've exhausted my knowledge in this area. Have we any experts in this area who can help get Xmas365 back????? If you think you can help please PM me.

Also, we're having a chat this Sunday at 8pm London and 8pm USA EDT. We hope you all come to help us discuss what we're calling the World's Largest Christmas Party. If you guys can engineer a Christmas in July with everyone sitting around in their underwear in front of fans and air conditioners imagine what you could plan for 12/11/11 when we try to have a Christmas party online involving, oh, everyone in the world.

As much as I want to stay up all night and watch HSN's CIJ I have to head to bed. I have to take mom for a 1 year check up on her foot tommorrow and then we have to babysit awhile. Hopefully I can make it home sometime around 1pm and not miss all of the good things on HSN. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!

Jeff, I know this sounds stupid, but what about just downloading another browser. I've had success with that a couple of times....

Planned on coming by for a long visit, but went to eat with my folks and bought some groceries, now I'm pretty tired. But I will see you tomorrow at the Pines.
 
It's been forever since I've been here! Glad to have gotten an e-mail this morning with a friend request, since it brought me back.
I noticed the site seems to be a little different. (Change is a necessary part of life.)
I see how many pages there are in this thread, and doubt I'll be able to read them all to catch up, so I may have to just start from here!!! LOL
Just finished reading THE SNOW GLOBE.
Have to find the 2011 Christmas card exchange thread and get involved in that. (I missed last year.
(Life has been kinda on the wild side--not in a good way, either.) Things are looking up, though.
Dsd is getting married on the 30th of this month. I have my dress; took FOREVER to find one I liked. Thank you Macys.com!!!! LOL
MIL died at the beginning of the year. Dh and his brother have been disagreeing over handling the house. WE brought almost all of her stuff here. Including her Christmas stuff! :dance: She didn't have a lot, but what she had, I now have. One thing she had is LOTS of cards. Quite a few stamps, too.
I have a dentist appt today. I like how my teeth feel after a cleaning.

I had all sorts of trouble about a year ago - during one of the chats late last year it was suggested I use Google Chrome - works great accessing the site, but there are times MCR won't work.

Good morning, MMC!

I hope everyone is doing well! Going to be a long day today - I'm going to put CIJ on in the background to cool me off later on today. Right now it is comfortable out, but it looks like it could rain. I need to get the fur kids taken care of and workout. Working later this morning through most of the afternoon.

Yeah, you're back! Missed you.

You have been busy, congrats on the up coming wedding of your son (I think that is who you mean, not very good at these short forms yet)
Sorry to hear of your mother inlaw's passing. It is hard when family does not agree, my mom has everything labled as to who gets what and a will detailing the rest so there will be no problems. (we hope)
It is nice to get some old decorations, great memories!
