One of our local news crews is broadcasting from a park and the black rubber mulch around the swings is 156 degrees. That is crazy!!!!!!

It is crazy! That is why we never see kids play at the park here in the summer. All the playground equipment is way too hot and I have witnessed kids burning themselves on them. =(

The weatherman just said we have had 20 straight days of it and not sure when it will end. Are you sure you don't want one more day of it?!?!?

I'll make a deal with you. You can send us 1 hundred degree day a year as long as the days around it are not in the 90's.

My sister in Seattle just called and complained that it was 73 degrees in her house. I told her I didn't want to here it. My A/C has been running all day and it is still 72 degrees in here. She doesn't even have her air conditioner's installed and it is only 68 degrees out there right now.

Good morning, Christmas family.

With all the high spirits at the pines last night and Christmas in July this weekend, I hate to dampen everyone's mood but here goes.

There seems to be something going on with Wes, my brother-in-law.

He has been having low grade temperatures and now has developed a cough. I know none of this is actually Earth shattering but it just seems suspicious to me with him having undergone such a serious surgery recently.

I know he is already in your prayers but I wanted to post this. I am very, very worried.

Thanks, Christmas family. Perhaps a day will come soon when I can post and NOT feel so exhausted like I am typing in a coma.....xo

I will keep praying for Wes, CM3!!! ((((hugs))))

I'm more of a Three Stooges kinda guy, myself.

The ice delivery is my all-time favorite short of the Three Stooges - every time I see it, I laugh so hard my face hurts

I never really watched the 3 stooges, but I have seen some of Laurel & Hardy - I also remember Abbott & Costello? If I am spelling them right!!! I remember one that they are set in the Revolutionary War - I will have to look it up....

One of my favorites - disappointed in the very end, though!

We did it!!!!! For the first time since 1988 we hit 100 degrees at the official weather service observation point at the Indianapolis airport.

I was in Frankenmuth and the temperature there was 100 degrees at 11:30 - that didn't factor in the heat index.

Well its 98 here but with the heat index it feels like 111 !!!!! Tomorrow is suppose to be worse 102 feeling like 115-120..is that even possible?!?! At what point do we start to melt? Soooooo ready for a cool crisp Fall day! Lets keep praying Christmas friends. I know we cant make the time go by any faster but maybe this heat wave will be over and at least get us some temps in the 80's!

Cookies turned out wonderful yesterday! Brought some in for my co workers and they loved them! The Boys did a great job helping! Not much else going on..stay cool my friends!

Stay cool!!!!!!!

The temperature in my house was 90 when I got home.

Good evening, MMC!

Long day today, but I got to chill in some a/c for a few hours so it went by rather quick. Cats and dogs are doing fine - drinking water like crazy today!

I was able to go to the Hallmark in 'Muth and they were having their sidewalk sales - they had a few ornaments from a few years ago for a dollar each - I got three of them I didn't have  It was very hot walking around the town, but there was a nice breeze blowing that kept you dry if not cool. Went to the library there and got issued a different library card - I guess the funding crunch has hit them, too. My local library is no longer open on Mondays - it doesn't have the greatest hours to begin with, either :( Checked out more mysteries and snagged a few years' worth of Cross Stitch and Country Crafts magazines - I am going to have so much fun going through them, looking for things to make. It is so easy to find cross stitch supplies at garage sales and thrift stores - I have been stockpiling them for a few years now. It will be such fun to get stitching again!

Have a great evening and I pray all will get through the heat wave with no problems!!!!!

Ugh, this weather is just too much! The news people keep saying "I'd take this heat over the snow!" I WOULDN'T!! Give me a blizzard over 100 degrees any day of the week!!

Cooler temps are on the way - currently in my hometown:

Humidity: 40 %
Dewpoint: 61 °F
Wind: W 8 mph

I am off to bed, it is still very hot here, still 32c and very humid.

My son insists on sleeping in his room and I am worried about him as there is no AC up there. But he is being very stubborn about it and refuses to sleep in the basement where it is cooler. There is a couple of fans in his room, but it is still stifling in there. Lots of warnings about being careful in this heat, I sure hope he does not get sick.
