My daughter has joined the forums! LittleCS is her name here.
So glad she joined!
And with this post, CAH is poster #14,300. For her efforts, she wins a vial of sand from this week's sandstorm!!! Way to go, CAH!
Thanks! It goes well with Mexican food.
I finally got the stress migraine that I knew had been building today, but thankfully it seems to have passed.
Sorry to hear and hopefully it goes away for good!

I have a quick moment to check in.
So good to see you! We really miss you and hope you have more time in the future to join us full time!
Whoa! Sorry about that. I was typing it when Carl was showing me a card trick. He still keeps asking me "Is this your card". He found it at the bottom of the deck LOL
That sneaky Carl!

Dibs on the hammock!!!!!!

ok, I had it last time, so you can have it this week!

I'm going to take a turn in the hammock now, with a relaxing cup of tea ...

The hammock sounds wonderful
Rumor has it that Carl will have a personalized hammock with your name on it next time around. We will not have to wait our turn no longer! I can't wait to have my very own hammock!

I hope this is true and not a rumor. Does anyone know?

I just saw on the news that a guy baked cookies on his dashboard and they came out well. Looks like you can bake a cake on your dashboard, Made!

Britt, I see they told you what the Pines are. Please join us every week.

Everyone is welcomed at the Pines!

Crown, as always, thanks for the Countdown! We are getting closer.

Good news for fans of vintage film!

FINALLY, a Laurel & Hardy DVD set of their best 1930s comedies!

It's not being released until October 25, but you can pre-order it at a discount on Amazon. New transfers of shorts AND features from best surviving 35mm elements---not from old, dupy, beat-up prints! For our friends overseas, it includes some of their foreign-language short comedies that they made by learning their lines phonetically.

Disclaimer: Not meant to be a sales talk---I'm just excited that GOOD DVDs of the boys will finally be available---and in time for Christmas!

Note: It doesn't includes "Babes in Toyland" (a.k.a. "March of the Wooden Soldiers") because its copyright is held by a different company, but excellent colorized and B&W DVDs of that are already available.

Has anyone heard of the game, Monopoly? It's a board game that requires no electricity and is played with others. He he!

My son, nephew and I pushed away modern technology late yesterday afternoon and played a game of it. My son beat us! We might play again today and my mother will probably join us. I am going to win this time around. Muahahahahaha!

The only problem is that I might melt walking to my truck.

Sounds like heaven on Wednesdays! If it's true, I'll crochet him a Carl-sized Christmas afghan!

Oh yeah, I have that on my Kindle and my iPod ...

Seriously, I hope board games never die out because of digital adaptations. I miss board games. If there's ever an MMC convention, there should be a game room ...

Bankrupt 'em all, CAH! Think of Ebenezer Scrooge! Think of Mr. Potter!

that would be wonderful! We could all relax side by side and never have to get up until it is time to go home again.

Great to hear from you. Just drop by whenever you can!

Good evening, everyone!

I have a quick moment to check in. I apologize for my lack of posting again. I am currently attempting to balance my life between work, sports and my girlfriend. It is difficult. Being outside in the sun all day and responsible for 50+ kids takes a lot out of you.

On top of that, I have my competitive frisbee about three to five times a week. It leaves no time for anything. When I have time, I am nearly completely exhausted and unable to type together coherent sentences.

I hope all is well with everyone. Keep enjoying your summers. Christmas is July is coming up very soon! :)

Love the pictures. The poinsettia cake looks so rich! Cute legs, Made!

It is hot already, but then it really did not get very cool at all over night. Going up to 38c (100f) with a humidex it will feel like 47c (116f)

The pines was great as usual. did not feel as hot there, most likely because of the breeze blowing and all trees. Good company and good food but mostly all those iced drinks!
Even got a picture of Made in the hammock...

Good morning, Christmas family.

With all the high spirits at the pines last night and Christmas in July this weekend, I hate to dampen everyone's mood but here goes.

There seems to be something going on with Wes, my brother-in-law.

He has been having low grade temperatures and now has developed a cough. I know none of this is actually Earth shattering but it just seems suspicious to me with him having undergone such a serious surgery recently.

I know he is already in your prayers but I wanted to post this. I am very, very worried.

Thanks, Christmas family. Perhaps a day will come soon when I can post and NOT feel so exhausted like I am typing in a coma.....xo
