It rained yesterday afternoon, but when it stopped, my son and I finally went fishing. It was beautiful! It was about 75°, the breeze was still, the pond had about 6" of fog on the top, and the sun was setting behind the pine trees. We didn't catch anything, but we didn't care! We had a few strikes, just enough to get the old adrenalin going, but for the most part, we just enjoyed being outside together.

I have about 60 some odd days to till I return..

They do it on the 25th of August and September also. Then they start shifting into christmas all the time in October.

Thought I would pop in really quickly and let you all know I saw my first Christmas magazine of 2011! It was Paula Deen's Holiday Baking. It's getting closer! woohoo! Stll waiting on the new cord, I can't wait to be back full time.

Good Afternoon Everyone!!!!!!! It is way to hot here in central Indy. Today is the 12th day in a row of 90 degree temps and the 7 day forecast shows no break. The record is 18 days in row. I spent some time this morning working on my truck but I got chased inside by the lawn care people before I got everything done. It's not very fun being allergic to fresh cut grass in the summer. Now I am going to kick back and enjoy the air conditioning. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Quick peek in to check to see how you guys are doing. I have about 60 some odd days to till I return..Back home schools are already starting back up,fall just around the corner. I can't believe how fast time is passing. Yankee Candle Co. is about to put out thier fall 2011 collection in early august. I usually love this time of year I can take the heat so long as I know it is about to end and the cool days of autumn are right ahead..oh and BTW every indictation(per accuweather.com & farmers almanac) is that my friends who live along the East coast are in for another brutal winter..seems we are in a pattern of extremes Re:winters and summers. I think QVC should do at least an hr Christmas show on the 25th of every month. They don't have to go all out....a few decor, a few toy's etc. I think it would surprise them how much they'd sell.

Yesterday the grandkids and I played some board games and cards. I then asked, "do you guys want to play 52 card pick up"? Both my grandsons were so excited and said, "yes"! then "grandma, are you going to play"??? I said, "I think I will sit this one out". I got the cards and threw them all over the living room floor and said, "ok, pick them up"! They started screaming with excitement as the hit the floor and scurried all over picking them up! Then they wanted to play again??? I thought I had tricked them and instead they loved the game! I guess they tricked me. Ha ha!

Absolutely priceless!!!

london is a 2 hour train journey from me, so i think i'll have a day out down there and buy some decorations.

Good evening, MMC!

I am caught up on my work - yay! This evening I will be going through more Christmas craft books and mags - I am getting lots of ideas! I plan on reading a bit of the mystery I am currently on, too - book 2 of a Michigan murder series.

Tomorrow I am going to spend the day with friends - we didn't get together yesterday as planned due to unforeseen circumstances. Lunch and grocery shopping - lots of talk about recipes. Should be a lot of fun!

Can you believe it! YES!...its getting closer! I was just thinking today that in less than a month, the Sear's Christmas Wish catalogue will be out! YA!!!:dance:

Well I got to unplug now, I was able to catch up a little. That is really cool news about the MMC Cookbook. I will see what I can contribute to it. I will be on again when I can, I miss you all.
