They basically just don't care unless your dying. As soon as they see that it's not life threating they send you home and tell you to call your doctor here. Of course the doctor keeps telling my sister if she feels like she is getting worse she should go to the ER.

My sister called her doctor again this morning and is going in at 2:45 to see what she says today.
I have heard a couple of stories where they die in the er waiting room. They don't feel it's life threatening and keep them waiting for an hour or so and they have died. That obviously don't happen all the time but I know of 2 cases (might be more) and one of them was caught on survellaince camera of a lady in the waiting room, she had been there for hours, and just fell over dead. That was disturbing to see!

Keep us updated!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be another hot one here in central Indy. We may not hit 90 degrees but we will be knocking on the door. I have to get some laundry done and then I have to go babysit my nieces while my brother in law takes my sister to the doctor. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is another thing I hate about our local ER. When you walk into most ER's and complain of chest pains they take you straight back and hook you up to a EKG to check for a heart attack. Not here. They just tell you to take a seat and it usually takes 3 hours to get called back.

Same has happened to me!

I feel for the staff too because they are overrun and not enough help and wish this could change.

In your sisters case, they really should have kept her overnight.

Just running in to say hello, good morning, good afternoon, and see you all soon... Just a really busy day but I wanted to touch base with all the MMC crew, I don't log on Sat or Sunday's so I needed a Christmas Fix!!!! Be well...

My sister hosted a Birthday Lunch for our Mom yesterday. We had shrimp cocktail, seafood chowder, steamed crabs, crablegs, corn on the cob, and strawberry cake. We sat down to eat at 1:00, and ate and talked until around 4:00. We're still full!

Evening folks! It's wine o'clock in the depths of Scotland and I'm putting a Care package together for Bruce (because obviously a Walmart the size of 12 football fields isn't enough!) I've got to get it mailed tomorrow because there's only 2 weeks left of camp - can't believe how quickly it's gone. Once camp is over, he and a friend........let's call her Ashley (!) are heading to DC then Toronto then New York then back to Philly to fly home. The arrival back to the land of plaid is Sept 8th which, in my book, is well and truly fall, so YAY!!!!!!!!!!

On a sadder note, the girl I married last week died yesterday; just a baby at 19. Still, they had a week together which he'll have in his memory forever.

Sleep tight, Samantha xxxx

Where's my wine........??!!

Aww so sad, God Bless Samantha!

I have a friend that I knew at church back in Maryland. I found out recently that he has Multiple Myeloma ( it is a cancer that affects the bone marrow). It is the same thing my father died of, my father was diagnosed on Thanksgiving day 1976 and he died on March 15th 1977. Knowing my father he waited too long before finally going to the doctor. Anyway my friend just posted on Facebook that he is responding well to the meds, and his markers are down by 50%. So that was great to know.

I have know Dave (that's his name) for about 30 years, he is a great guy, and a very strong and faithful Christian. When I first became a Christian, he took me under his wing and helped me learn with lots of one on one Bible study. I would appreciate any prayers for Dave, if you don't mind.

I will say a prayer for your friend!

I got all the way to the store and realized I forgot my shopping list. So I bought what I remebered and now I am back home to eat lunch and grab the list. I heard from my sister and her heart scan was fine. So that's some good news. Maybe I'll stop by hobby lobby while I'm out this afternoon.

Hope your Sister is doing ok!

Don't forget to post your recipes...I sent mine!

Hi there Christmas Friends!

I'm thinking its gonna take me a couple of days to catch up with everyone! Because my granddaughter was over for the weekend, I couldn't sit on the computer. My granddaughter gets my full attention when she's here (we only get her once every 4 to 6 weeks).

It was a very busy but good weekend! Lots of fun - and hugs, kisses and snuggles too! Ya can't beat that!

We got tickets for the Nutcracker Ballet for December 18th! Centre front row seats! I am soooooo excited! I've always wanted to see it! What a wonderfully Christmassy thing to do!!!

I gotta work tonight, but I am still gonna try to come online.

I hope everyone is feeling Christmassy!!!

My sisters doctor is referring her on to a lung specialist. She also gave her some anxiety pills to see if they help. My brother in law is back at the ER with his dad. They think he has kidney stones.

I hope she gets an answer as to what is going on.

Made: I will keep your sister and your brother-in-law's dad in my prayers.

ChristmasHeart: I'm glad you are going to see The Nutcracker Ballet - I know you will have lots of fun!

C-A-H: I wish I could send you some rain and relief from the heat. I will keep you in my prayers ((((hugs))))

Good evening, Christmas family!

As I was working today, I kept thinking about apples and walnuts and what I am going to make with them. Holiday baking is much on my mind of late. I am going to start stocking up on supplies and gather new recipes to try out. What fun!

Have a great evening!!!!!

MsChristmas: Happy Anniversary!

Oh no. I have had 2 kidney stones before. The nurses say they are more painful then childbirth. They had stones before and would rather do childbirth. Prayers are coming your way!
