Christmas Countdown - 2011

Good Morning Everyone!! It is a somber day here in central Indy. The death toll from the stage collapse last night has risen to 5 with several more in critical condition. On the news they talked to the parents of a 7 year old girl who has flat lined several times but thankfully has been revived every time. I also talked to one of my friends whose sister was there. She is a nurse and helped several people. She finally ended up with a 3 year old girl whose parents were also injured and taken to the hospital. She ended up riding with the girl to the children's hospital and staying with her while she was undergoing surgery all night. She finally left this morning when some of the girls family members arrived from out of town. The good news is that they didn't find anyone else trapped during the secondary search.

That is terrible news. =(

OH Sunday.. my glorious day of relaxtion. I think I might start decorating for Halloween today.. if i Feel any kind of energy flow through me haha.. Man do I ever feel Lay-zee

I can't wait to get my Halloween decorations out!

Gosh we've had an absolutely beautiful day today for the 3/4 mark till the season! It is SO nice out! This is the kind of weather I'd like to bottle up and keep all year round!

We woke up this morning and went to church and then came home for lunch. After that, I dropped DD off at her cousin's house while I went and got my massage! It was really one of the best ones I've ever had. They could not play my Christmas cd (not surprised) but, on their music, "Greensleeves" did play so I sang "What Child is This" in my head. That was just the icing on the cake cheesy

Anyways, then I picked up both DD and my niece and brought them back to my house for a sleep over. They are so sweet together! We're about to have a night time snack and then get them into bed. Then I'm climbing into my bed with a couple of magazines that I'm behind on and just relaxing.

As for National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation - I hate to admit on such a forum, but I have never seen that!!! I know that is probably blasphemy for a Christmas lover to say, but it is the truth. Maybe this season I will finally watch it!

Yeah!! Christmasstar was SUPERB!!!

We are back from South Carolina after a nice trip and reunion.
Even the weather cooperated and it was less hot/humid than it usually is.
Lots of familty togetherness and good feelings.

Well, I'm caught up on the postings and must issue a hearty "Thanks!" and a tip of the hat to Christmasstar for stepping up to do the count the last 2 mornings --- and for her resounding recognition of the 3/4 Season mark.

I'm still at work, just taking a little break. I got quite a bit done today - yay! I'm trying to get a jump start on projects for this week because I will be gone most of the day Wednesday.

Can I go back to bed and restart the day? We must have had a gallon of tears spilled here so far this morning, all 4 kids are so overtired, I think I want to .... cry. We have the big party here today and its raining, 30-40 people coming here and we all will be rubbing elbows in the house. Well, I should get going

I ALMOST FINISHED THE DECK YESTERDAY!!!! Just a few little odds & ends to tie up. Wow, that heat almost got me a few times, but I'd go inside and cool off a little, then get back to work. I can't believe I'm in the short rows now (that's southern for almost finished. When farming, when you get to the short rows in the field, you're almost done)!!

She is a nurse and helped several people. She finally ended up with a 3 year old girl whose parents were also injured and taken to the hospital. She ended up riding with the girl to the children's hospital and staying with her while she was undergoing surgery all night. She finally left this morning when some of the girls family members arrived from out of town. The good news is that they didn't find anyone else trapped during the secondary search. The fair is closed today while they do the investigation. They have determined so far that it was a 70 to 80 mph wind gust that knocked it down. The storm was still about 20 minutes away so it took everyone by surprise. I know we were watching the lighting off in the distance here and all of a sudden the temp dropped and the wind just came out of no where. It was really crazy. I have never felt a gust front like that before. In other news the colts lost their first preseason game last night. If Peyton manning ever gets hurt we are in trouble. This afternoon I am going to kick back and watch some racing. It looks like rain for the nascar race so I may have to switch over to the IRL race. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

blegh that is a scary story! it was even on our news and it looked super scary, that enormous thing just collapsing on those people! still sending good thoughts!

Yes...even Monday can be a good thing - when it brings us a day closer to the Season and to Christmas! YA!

Oh...there is this particular house where I live that always has their Christmas decorations out first. Well - as we drove by this house yesterday - I saw Santa on their lawn...and then I saw other Christmas characters on their lawn (set us as they always do every year)!!! Now...these people quite obviously love Christmas too! It was awesome! I got sooooo excited!!!

I stand and applaud these people!

It was a super weekend! I sure hope you all had a great weekend as well!

Oh...we went to see the final Harry Potter movie with my SIL! It was soooooooo good! I acctually shed a few tears at the end...just knowing its the end of an era...the final instalment - and how these people where so much part of one another's lives. Oh...I know..."ChristmasHeart...yo can get sentimental over just about anything"! :-D

i was so busy that I was not able to log on over the weekend...but i still thought of my Christmas friends!

Good Morning MMC !

a bit chilly this morning at only 17c or about 62f.
Off to Toronto again, my brother is unexpectedly coming for a visit this Thursday from British Columbia (after driving across country to move his ex to some where in south Georgia) My daughter has an appointment in London, the car alternator died yesterday, I have a birthday cake to make for Friday, the family wants to now get together for a BBQ so everyone can at least say hi to Rick when he is here, I have to go to Toronto 2 more times, I need to do some laundry and pack before leaving for Vermont on Sunday.
I'm tired just talking about my week!

and I closed the window I am siting next to because I am getting cold.
