Bradmac - very nice of you to help out a guy in need. Isn't that terrible that these days we have to second guess every stranger that asks for help (tatoos or no tatoos) - there are some scary people out there! I bet your wife was scared to death & the widows everywhere on your block are thanking you!
So next week school starts here. Where oh where did summer go? BUT I am starting to get that fall'ish homey/cozy feeling! I'm ready for fall scented candles, soups, bonfires, football & I am loving these cooler mornings! Funny how in the spring I can not wait to be able to walk in shorts/t-shirts in the mornings & now I'm excited to be wearing capri's/long sleeve T's again - sweatshirts soon to follow!
It's my hubby's b-day today so I'm baking his favorite cake after work today (his Grandma's spice cake recipe w/ penuche icing) & we are having stuffed ribeye steak w/ roasted red potatoes! Can't hardly wait til supper time! I'm hoping our friends can come over to join us - as there are 4 steaks in the package & it will be a surprise for him! :sparkle:

Maybe it use to be an ex-husband's name on her body and it was cheaper to have solid black ink tattoo over it to cover it instead of having it surgically removed. =)

Hubby's b-day meal was delish last night - what a feast. I invited my sister & her hubby to to join us for dinner @ the lake since it was my sisters b-day yesterday too. We had a "BOTHday" party!! :grin: Fun stuff!
I am looking through my Taste Of Home Big Book of Soup today & it's putting me in the mood for fall!!!

Yes, we will probably fill it with wrapped Christmas presents (empty boxes of course cheesy ) and string lights to it some how. My brain is always working for new decorating ideas. cheesy

Busy couple of days, I just caught up on the posts for yesterday and today. I hope to pick up the sleigh this weekend. Wish I could hang out longer but the toothpicks holding my eyelids open are starting to crack.

Good morning, everybody! Today is Pines Day and it's the first one of the school year! 35 more of them after today LOL!
For some reason, I am so tired. I wish I could crawl back in bed and sleep for another hour or so. But Saturday will be here before we know it.

Hey guys! Hope everyone has a fabulous day at the Pines! I'm going to grab a cup of coffee from Carl on the run as I head out to work. I'm not gonna lie - I really am not feeling it today. I just want to stay in bed all stinkin' day! But I guess that can't happen, so I better suck it up and get ready.
Tomorrow is my day off this week and it had better be just as wonderful of weather as we have been having. If so, I'll be taking DD to the park and then making a big pot of soup when we get home. That will make my day!

Good Wednesday (Pinesday), my Christmas friends!
We made a whirlwind trip yesterday afternoon. My son had to go to guitar lessons, and my daughter had to go to a shoe fitting. I know, it sounds strange. She's taken dance since she was old enough to walk, and now she wants to move into pointe ballet. Apparently, you don't just buy pointe shoes, you have to be fitted. Also, it helps to have a money tree growing in your backyard. Sheesh!
It's also strange that my son takes guitar lessons from someone else, but I've always played by ear, and I can't read music. I want him to learn the "right way". He's doing great!
