Somehow I knew you would come through with the GLITTER!!!

Good Morning, Eve-of-the-Weekend Friends and Saturday Anticipators.

Actually, I am dreading tomorrow, as that is when Hurricane Irene is predicted to make landfall at the coast very close to where our cottage is.
In fact, yesterday they showed the eye passing directly over the center of Emerald Isle, where our place is. This morning, they have moved the track slightly to the east which give us a modicum of hope.
The winds are very slightly down too, lowering the rating from CAT 3 to CAT 2.
(Am I just grasping at straws?)

Onward to a happier thought:
Days to the Season: 79
Days to Christmas Day: 121
The 100-day Christmas Day Milestone arrives 3 weeks from today.
Then, double-double digits!
Double Wowzers!
(Wonder how Carl will mark that point at the 'Pines?)

OK, Guys.
You have a Fabulous Friday and an Effervescent Eve of the Weekend.

Enjoy your day and try not to think too much about the weather.
(After all, there's nothing we can do about it anyway!)

Well, so far in good ole' NY the weather is calm right now. They are saying late Saturday night into Sunday morning, it depends on who you watch some are still saying a Cat 1 and some say a Tropical Storm. We will batten down the hatches.

Now as for Christmas, I was going to go and pick up supplies for the Craft project but I may need to push that off until next weekend. I have to get all the patio stuff away. This Sunday I am going to test making Strawberry & Cheese Danish, I am going to create this on my on no recipe to guide me so wish me luck :) That is of course as long as my power doesn't go out.

Hope you all have a great morning :)

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!! It is going to be another hot one here in central Indy again today. I don't know what happened to that cold front that came through yesterday morning but dropping from 89 to 87 isn't much of a cool down. I have alot of stuff to get done today so I better get to it. I hope everyone on the east coast stays safe and I will keep you all in my prayers. I also hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning, Christmas family!

Busy day ahead of me again - cleaning house and working this afternoon. Palmer, my kitten, isn't eating. I'm very worried about him. I might have to take him to the vet's later.

Have a great day and stay safe!! I will keep all of you in my prayers!!!

Thinking of you & Palmer today!

You just got me thinking, MerryCarey...about how important it is to make sure generations after us know people such as Jimmy Cagney! My Mom did that for me with Shirley Temple, Jimmy Stewart, Cary Grant, Fred Astair, Bob Hope, Bing Crosby, Ginger Rogers...to name but a few.

I need to make sure that my granddaughters know who these people are too!

Thank heaven for DVDs! And if you can befriend a film collector or attend a film collectors' festival, you'll get to see many wonderful films that have never been released to video and that TCM doesn't show (even though they're available in the vaults).

I'm worried about you folks in N.C.---hope you will be staying in a safe place when Irene shows up. Sounds like Binger's staying put---I've got a picture in my mind of B. floating in a giant coffee pot---I hope B.'s location is safe to ride out the storm. Keep us posted if you can.

We won't get it as bad in New England, but we're gonna get whatever comes. We stocked up on water, bread, and nonperishables last night. (And cookies, potato chips, and soda ... cheesy) Had to go to a few places before we could get D batteries---the shelves were bare. If the power goes out I'll be offline, 'cause we don't have smartphones.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

It's a bit windy here this morning, evidently from the storm passing by us. The skies are clear, though. Take care, those of you in the storm's path!

Our school's first football game was scheduled for tonight, but when the storm was first approaching, they rescheduled it for Thursday night to avoid the weather. So, my daughter really wanted to go last night. She has no interest in football, but all her little friends were going, and that's one of the few settings that I'll allow her to roam around unattended. I shot the breeze with some friends and she walked laps around the field with her friends. It was fun!

I have some yard work to get done this weekend, weather permitting.

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Oh dear:( I hope Palmer gets better soon!! It breaks my heart when pets get sick:(

My dear friends of the east, please stay safe! Perhaps a nice basement retreat would be suffice! My thoughts are with all of you this weekend...

Hi there and good morning to all!

I hope everyone is feeling chipper on this fine Friday morning!

I have to share...

Now - Canadian Tire is one store that has always been one of the first to bring out its Christmas deorations (in Brantford, anyway). For sure...by mid September they are well on their way!

I went to Canadian Tire on the weekend. Well....I walked to the area where they put the Christmas decorations out and looked behind one of the large shelves...and loe and behold...CHRISTMAS LIGHTS!!! Well...it was all I ccould do to contain myself!!! Its all soooooo very exciting and I'm full of happiness!!!

I hope you all are feeling happy too...and I hope you have a merry (Christmassy) day!

I had an interview at Canadian tire yesterday to be supervisor! He said at Christmas time it's nuts!!

Oh right I almost forgot I have a local newspaper Christmas related picture for you all.. But it'll have to wait, as I'm at work right now hahahhaha but I was pleasantly surprised ;) so maybe you will be too!

That Magic Window thing is kinda cute, must say! And God bless QVC for kinda takin gmy mind off of the impending hurricane!

Never thought I'd be bracing for a hurricane in the western suburbs of Philadelphia... then again, never thought we'd feel an earthquake here, either! Odd week..

I feel the same way! Scary stuff. Ocean City MD is on mandatory evacuation and now even our eastern shore only about 20 minutes from me is also on mandatory evacuation... dont remember this happeneing before so it has me a little worried... plus has given me a MAJOR headache. I work for a insurance company so between the earthquake calls and questions this week and now hurricane calls and questions Im about to lose my mind. Cant wait to get out of here at 5 but then again wish it was Monday and this hurricane was past us! Prayers to everyone. Trying to think Christmas!

I'm sitting here looking at one beautiful Jim Shore Santa. It guess I don't have to use that complaint form that Seawaters gave me.
