I'm sitting here looking at one beautiful Jim Shore Santa. It guess I don't have to use that complaint form that Seawaters gave me.

:wiggy: YAY!!!! I am so happy for you .

I'm glad you got it delivered in time - don't forget to take it with you when you go see Jim Shore tomorrow!

Thank you, everyone, for the well wishes for Palmer. He seems to be better than he was this morning. Right now he is basking in the sun on the back porch . I got him to eat a few pieces of Maui's food and then he played for a few minutes. He sounds like he has a cold - poor little guy.

I feel the same way! Scary stuff. Ocean City MD is on mandatory evacuation and now even our eastern shore only about 20 minutes from me is also on mandatory evacuation... dont remember this happeneing before so it has me a little worried... plus has given me a MAJOR headache. I work for a insurance company so between the earthquake calls and questions this week and now hurricane calls and questions Im about to lose my mind. Cant wait to get out of here at 5 but then again wish it was Monday and this hurricane was past us! Prayers to everyone. Trying to think Christmas!

I was going to ask you if you were inundated with calls this week - my mom is an agent, too, and said it was nuts!!!

I hope this storm fizzles out and leaves us the heck alone... thinking of you, my Christmas cousin!! :sparkle:

It's Noel's 1st birthday! I am sad to say that his birthday party is being a bit overshadowed by this freaking HURRICANE but thankfully, we planned a brunch party so we're good to go tomorrow! Everything is ready to go.. now this hurricane needs to leave us the heck alone and head out to sea!! A gal can dream..

I have been following the hurricane and looks like it will be rough one. I am thinking of you all and hope you all stay safe!

Good night, Christmas family! Stay safe!!!!!!!!!!

Good afternoon, everyone. I am thinking of all the East Coast people. My second son lives in Maryland so I have concerns for him and all of y'all there. Please be safe! When I was a kid, I did notice that our weather in the South was so fall-like: cold and rainy. There was a bad hurricane, Hazel; and then came hurricane Cheryl. Too bad they couldn't spell it correctly! The one I remember most is Hugo, which came inland up to the mountains of NC. It did lots of damage in Gaston County, NC, in the Piedmont (foothills of the Appalachians). I know some hurricanes were worse, but Hugo traveled in an extraordinary path. I hope everyone checks in when possible!

Happy B-day to the little guy!

Good evening,

WOW! Busy, busy day at work, tomorrow will probably be a lot busier. We picked the toys up in the yard, put the grill and umbrella away, and anything else that could become a missile. We seem to be getting ready for a grand slam of natural disaster/phenomenon in one year with the blizzard back in January, tornado in June, earthquake this past week, and now a hurricane. All we need is a meteor or comet to come next. It is supposed to be the worst on Sunday around noon here, but it should be a tropical storm by then, I am worried about the 2 old maple trees in our front yard one of them is dying so a lot of wind could bring it down. We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner tonight, it was very good, a nice juice ribeye hits the spot sometimes.

Crown, Binger, MsChristmas, Judes (and Noel's)Mama and anyone else in Irene's path stay safe over the next 24 hours, my thoughts are with you friends.

Have a good night!

Good evening everyone...... Well we are in for the weekend ... Riding out Irene... Got all the lawn furniture packed in the garage .... Plenty of supplies .... Kids and I are making cookies and brownies in the morning to help make the weekend more bearable ..... Our neighborhood has frequent power outages so we are expecting one this weekend ... Got the electronics charged up flashlights and candles set. As long as the Delaware River STAYS in he river we will good. Our neighborhood is along the river and we can clearly see ships traveling up and down the river. Saw the Cape May - Lewis ferry going up the river to dock in the Port of Wilmington this afternoon so that was interesting. Well I hope everyone stays safe this weekend.

Stay Safe Everyone!!!!!!! I'll be praying for all of you.

Goodnight Everyone!!!!

Ahhhhhhh! I hate hearing all this hurricane stuff. I am worried about you all. I know I keep saying it over and over but please stay safe! Evacuate if they say you should, not worth riding it out and risking it. =(

I am looking forward to hearing from everyone of you after this is over. Then with possible electricity outage and we don't hear from you I know we will be worried not knowing.

This is the first time for me to follow hurricane information so closely knowing that I know of you all online who are in the path.

For those of you in the path of the hurricane might check out the chatbox on the main forum page. RadioJonD posted a link with info that might be helpful regarding Hurricane Irene

Good morning, my friends!

Palmer is feeling better - he is ready to eat - YAY!!!

Running errands all day today - grocery shopping and a pet food run. Hopefully there will be some garage/estate sales along the way and I can find some good things for the store.

Take care, everyone - I will be praying for all of you in or out of the path of Irene!!!!!
