Wind is whipping now... I trimmed the tree in front of my house - MYSELF!! - during the rain because I got nervous, lol! My husband chuckled at me but it made me feel a bit more in control..... hate this feeling!

He is a really nice guy and takes the time to chat with everyone while he signs your pieces. That is why it took me almost 3 hours to get to him even though I was only about a 1/4 of the way back. I hope he didn't have an early flight home. I was going to get my picture taken with him but my batteries were dead when I got to the store and I couldn't believe that hallmark didn't have any batteries for sell. So instead of buying batteries I bought another Santa and the nativity star ornament. I'll try to post pictures soon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

Good evening,

We are getting ready for Ms. Irene, tell you the truth I am scared. I've been through a few before but the tornado aftermath is still to fresh in my mind, and seeing what damage fallen trees do has me very worried with the 2 old maples in the front, one is dying already. I am putting on a good face for the boys, because JP is so into weather after the tornado. He thinks another may come. Work was busy, but it died down after 3pm.

I will check in when I can, if I have power.

That's what I did for thirty plus years! It's not easy being the voice of calm in a situation like that!

I guarantee kidzrme is on the job on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts and having to remain calm as a 911 Operator!

Heading for bed now. Tropical storm warning and flood watch here through early tomorrow evening. We're prepared for power outages. Anyone here who isn't is out of luck---everyplace is out of C and D batteries and flashlights. I hope the folks who've already "met" Irene are okay.
