Ah! It's a bright, sunny and rain/storm-free start to the weekend here in the capital city where we stand just under 68 degrees at this hour.
Should be a great weekend according to all the weather predictions!

And so we pass UNDER one week from the 100-day Milestone to Christmas Day.

Hello all...

I have good news and bad news...

The good news is that Travis and I made it home safely.

The bad news is that our house flooded with all the rain that came while we were on vacation. Our carpets and flooring is ruined, our house smells like...well, rain soaked everything, and most of my stuff that was down in the basement is ruined. Not only that, but my parents' house, where all the REST of my stuff was being stored, got 17 inches of water in the basement, so all of my stuff THERE is ruined as well. Looks like we've got a really crappy weekend ahead of us, going through everything and seeing what the damage really is.

The other bad news is that no place around here is selling fans (they all sold out while we were gone), so there's no way to get the smell out, or dry the flooring. We are at a true loss of what to do.

I've breezed through some posts and see that other people are going through some hard times as well, or friends or family members are...I truly hope that everyone comes out of their hard times as well as they can.

Glad to hear you made it home safely, but so sorry to hear about the flooding. Hope you can get things taken care of fast. It has been raining so badly here as well, but thank goodness we really haven't got the flooding. My crick has held up, but others in my area haven't been as lucky. Saying prayers for you.

I haven't been back that way in 9 years now. Some custard from Meadow's sounds really good though so maybe I can convince everyone we should head back next summer.

I do like Meadows, but truly isn't my favorite I have to be honest. There is a little place in East Freedom - not sure if you've ever been there or not, but it's called Milky Way - if you come out and visit - you've got to go try there too. It is AWESOME. You won't be sorry. It's sooo cheap too. It's soft serve as well.

Okay, Christmas family. It's official. I am retiring!!!!!!!!!!! I told the school superintendent today after school. I told him I would retire in November 2012, but he asked me to stay at least until Christmas vacation. I wanted to say, "The movie?" But I refrained being a smart aleck. I will finish out this school year and work until Christmas of 2012. My stomach is still churning because of this life-changing decision. Hubby is REALLY happy, so I guess I will be too! I guess I will have to stop spending money now!!!

Whew! what a long week it's been! I have alot to catch up on here,I hope all my Christmas buddies are doing great! I have 3 weeks till I come home to the states and can't wait to see the autumn leaves changing soon! have a great weekend everyone!

I am laying here in bed with a toothache (and I don't even eat sweets, drink sweets, drink alcohol, smoke or any of that stuff) but I still have a toothache! I guess you can just get one anyway! It's not that bad but bad enough to take some Advil to kill the pain. I will be ok though! =)

While I am laying here I am watching Rick Steve's European Christmas.

I am getting sleepy so if I don't get back on here, have a goodnight everyone! Sweet dreams! :!!

Toothaches are such horrible pain. I had braces as a kid and I remember get the adjusted and how painful my teeth were then. I hope you're feeling better and if not, feel better soon!

My tooth was bothering me some last night while I was trying to sleep. I never really have had a toothache in my life and this is not really that bad, just sort of an slight ache but it's enough to be bothersome! I really feel bad for those who have had tremendous pain from them!

My oldest grandson will be over to spend some of the day with me and the 2 younger grandchildren will spend the day with my mom (their great grandma). My daughter will be out house shopping and my son in law has to work. She said she could take the kids with her and really hated to have them come over since I keep them all week already while they work but I think it would be a lot easier to shop around without them. Thank God for my mom that she can help out with the little ones. This is really my only day for me to get things done for myself and just keeping my oldest grandson will be no problem.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is going to be HOT again today. Please share some your fall weather, leaves and all!!! We are starting a new schedule at school on Monday, so I have lots of re-planning I have to do! We also get new curriculum, supposedly by the first of October. I guess all that planning I did for the whole year will be out the window, but the new reading materials look great. I hope everyone has a great day!!

Good Morning, MMC family! I am just sitting here in the hotel as my husband is getting ready for the wedding this am. I have to have him over for pictures around 11:45, which is about an hour. The church our friend is getting married in is beautiful. It is on top of Mt. Washington (in Pittsburgh) if anyone has ever been there. There is an amazing view from there. We're having a great time so far. It's only second time we've really got to go out without the kids since I've had my daughter, so that's been 4 years. So...we're having a good time to say the least! I wouldn't change anything about it though! Hope everyone continues to have a great weekened!
