My other plans for today are to go to the gym after work and then attend a concert this evening.

Have fun at the Concert!!!!!! I'll be praying that you find a job soon.

I got 5 more christmas gifts bought this morning. I bought my mom 2 shirts at Fashion bug and then I ordered 3 lego sets on walmart's website for my nephew in washington. The best part was the legos were cheaper online and had free shipping. I'm still behind where I would like to be but I am slowly getting caught up. Now I am off to listen to some christmas music while I do some cleaning.

Hey Christmas buddies! I had the best night's sleep last night. I did not even wake up once! I have not been able to do that in recent memory! anyhow it's plain cold outside today...47F here in Bosnia that is cold if you ask me! it's 70f back at home so I guess I need to get use to warmer temps again! 13 days left!!have a good one everyone!

Hey Neil, How has the weather been in Bosnia? Is it normally hot this time of year? In Kentucky today the high is expected to be 60 degrees

Wacky weather here---we had a drenching downpour, and the sun crept out during part of it.

Somewhere in the past couple days, I passed 2,500 posts and didn't notice. I don't talk much. It took me a few years to get there.

This was actually dictated by a physician...."The CT scan of the patient's head showed NOTHING......"

This physician MUST have been looking at my CT scan.......:-D

**warning!**

I almost forgot to say I finally hit 5000 posts!!!!!!!!!

OK time for the Christmas Angel update:

I am in the props group and we have divided up the things we can score within our own house & family, then we would reach out to the church, see if we could get donations, we have a small budget so we really do not want to spend it on any large pieces just for paint, tape, that type of stuff. Overall it went well, the condensing portion the the pastor & his family worked on was good, we all had input and in the end it was agreed upon; we have kept it true to the main story line, in one part of the story a little girl goes back to her apt and we took out two people, I am not saying more because I don't know who read the story or who plans on reading it and I don't want to give it away. But, it was minor stuff like that. We did have a lady who wants to "direct" the play but the Pastor put it very nicely that he thought the he should remain in that seat as he has in the past, I know she really wanted it but let's just say it is better that the Pastor does it, we've had an issue or two with her, and she can actually put the children "off" on doing it. We have decided opening night is 12/17/11 at 8:00 PM, and we will have another show on Friday 12/23 at 7:30 PM. In case some people and children cannot make the first one, this way everyone gets a chance. The Angel will be a different child in each segment, and we will also utilize a narrator spot which will also have a different child but we thought in order to be sure everyone gets a chance we will try not to repeat a child in both spots. We are all very excited. The program I wrote down the link that MerryC gave me and let them know we could utilize that as well, we all thought it was perfect for a cover to use the "real" cover. One of the ladies suggested doing a little narrative on the story & the author before the curtain goes up, something very short say 10 minutes max, we all thought that was a great idea and we nominated her to do the research, tee hee, she didn't mind at all it was kind of cute!!! Then we all had Christmas Cookies and tea/coffee/cocoa - all with Christmas Napkins and cups. Thanks to one of the other ladies who brought them in, I was so happy here was someone baking Christmas Cookies in September!!! Isn't that so cool and I have MerryC and MMC to thank!!!

Next week.... Additional planning, see what props were collected, what we still needed. Refreshments for after the show, who will set it up what will we serve. That sort of stuff.... Oh and most important we are going to announce rehersals will be held every Tuesday night starting at 7:30 until 8:30 and Friday starting at 7:30 until 9:00 PM, with dress rehersals beginning in late November on Saturday mornings (we haven't firmed that time yet). We will hold auditions on 09/26/2011 & 09/27/2011 and post the cast before service on that Sunday. I cannot believe it is happening it is so - well I don't know what to write but I think you know how I feel!!!! YAY!!!!

Word of warning to anyone with small children.
My granddaughter had to go to the hospital last night because a tv set fell on her. She is ok and very silly and happy today! THANK GOD!

My 2 year old granddaughter tried to climb up a dresser in her brother's room to turn on the tv and it came down on her pinning her leg down. It also caught her eye which is swelled up today. It happened so fast, her dad was in the same room with her picking clothes up to be washed.

My daughter was crying last night and said they thought that tv was stable enough on the dresser. She said the tv is sitting on the floor now! She also checked all over the house for anything else that needed to be anchored or moved.

I did not sleep well at all last night thinking what "could" have happened. It's so good to see her today happy and smiling!

Please!!! If anyone has one of those old tv sets on something unstable remove it and keep it on the floor! Kids can die from this and my granddaughter is VERY LUCKY! When my kids were little their tv stayed on the floor because I feared this very same thing.

yes, things can happen fast when kids are around! So glad she OK.
Forget that what could have happened stuff, it only stress's you out and it did not happen so why take that trip?
I was told once to get down on my hands and knees and see the house from their point of view...what a difference that made! Amazing what you see from there.
My daughter climed up a dresser at that age too, when it fell over, the bottom drower came out and kept it from actually falling on her. She never again tried to do that!

Greetings all! I hope everyone is doing well and to those who aren't - I hope you're better soon!!!
I went dress shopping yesterday and today and found some amazing dresses. Too bad they are all a bit out of my price range (especially the ones today, unfortunately they are the first two dresses that I've used the word "love" toward...sigh). So the search continues!

Travis and I also went to visit a second ceremony/reception venue Monday. It was a great place, very modern and unique, but at $135/plate, it was just SO far off from our budget. We went back to the first place we visited today and brought along both sets of parents. We were afraid that the price ($67.50/plate) would still be a little high for them, but everyone loved it and we think we're going to book it. It's...surreal to think we're actually going to book a place to get MARRIED!!! We still have a week to think it over, but we're almost positive this is what we're going to do. Especially since the parents are all on board...it just makes it so much easier! We don't even know yet if we're going to have any financial help. but we can afford it so I guess that's all that matters, right? If anyone wants to see what it looks like, here's the website: http://yorktowne.com
that places looks beautiful!
To bad you do not live closer, would love to do your cake for you!

Happy Thursday, everyone! I'm coming up on my 2000th post, and I thought I'd stop in to celebrate. I'm also celebrating having the day off of work tomorrow. Now there's something to cheer about!
