Good morning everyone!
Just thought I'd let you guys know that my birthday week/weekend was really fun, and I love the tattoo! I got so many compliments on it.

Glad your weekend was amazing!!!! Sorry if I missed the post, but what did you get a tattoo of and where is it??? I've got one too so am always interested!

Wayne is going golfing with the guys from church today. I am so glad he is going to have some fun, he works so hard and deserves a play day! He owns a set of golf clubs and they collect too much dust. He needs dust them off and use them! =)

I hope SIT has a great day

Ha, I've seen some customers do that lately! Have you been in my store? lol Yes, we are still setting up as well...the official Christmas set was on Tuesday and overnight Wednesday, so hopefully by next week, the sets will totally be done. And yeah, it is a struggle to not spend money...I have been doing very well though since being engaged...I only spent $25 last month and that was to get a friend a gift card for her birthday!

It is so hard not to spend $, especially for all of us Christmas / holiday lovers! Good for you, though. Saving for your wedding is a must :) How are the plans coming?

Good morning, Christmas family!

I hope this finds everyone better, happy and spending the day with those they hold nearest and dearest!!!!

I have a recovering kitten locked in the bathroom, a stressed out and major grumpy older cat grousing behind my chair and I have to run errands. I am somewhat afraid of leaving the two alone in the house - even if they can't reach each other!

It is going to be a good day, though! The Tigers are the Division Champs, we are in double digits and I have time to catch up on everything I am behind on. Sometimes, life is very good indeed!

Have a Super Merry Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear Palmer is doing better! Congrats on your Tigers!

Anybody know of any good Christmas movies on Netflix? I can't come across anything but Christmas Carol (Jim Carrey version) :-/

I recently watched A Hollywood Christmas, and it was excellent. But, it's more of a documantary hosted by Jane Seymour about how Christmas movies began back in 1898, up until modern day. It shows many clips, as well. Very interesting & nostalgic!

Good afternoon from the sick house,

LC woke up before 5Am this morning, so that means everyone loses out on sleep. Not much planned, we are going to make a candy ice cream pie later that we saw in a Halloween recipe book. I am feeling lousy. We turned on PBS this morning and did get to see Straight No Chaser Christmas performance, which really sounded good to hear Christmas music on TV, soon enough all commercials and shows will be a bit more Christmasy.

Have a great Saturday! :wiggy:

Good Morning, Christmas friends!

Hope you're all having a great weekend so far! Any big plans?

We are going to tackle some yard work, take Harlowe for a walk before it gets too hot outside (high in the 90's), and go out to dinner later this evening. I've already done some housework, laundry, and made some Tomato Cheese dip that I purchased at the fall festival last weekend.

I came home from work to a very nice surprise yesterday..my hubby bought me the Veterinarian Office & Telephone Company St. Nicholas Square village pieces! Stinker tricked me, too. =) Told me there was a plumbing leak in our master bath, I of course was upset & ran upstairs to get towels & found them sitting on our bed with bows around them. I am a lucky girl. He made my day!

Anyways, just wanted to pop in & say hi. Better get back to "work".

Hope you all have a blessed day!!

 Stacey

Sorry to hear you're still feeling lousy. Hope you get some rest today & are feeling a bit more like yourself soon!
Ice cream pie sounds yummy! Send some my way, please =)

What a perfectly sweet Christmas gesture! You are lucky, but I am sure you already knew that!!

Hi all! Just got back from Sears... and guess what? They are putting out their Christmas stuff!!!

Otherwise, some friends and I may go to Red Lobster for some delicious Endless Shrimp.
I LOVE their garlic-cheese biscuits!

Cool and sunny---beautiful fall weather! Makes me think of all of you as the season progresses!

We turned on PBS this morning and did get to see Straight No Chaser Christmas performance, which really sounded good to hear Christmas music on TV, soon enough all commercials and shows will be a bit more Christmasy.

Is that the New York performance from a couple years ago? I recorded that one and burned it to a DVD. Love to hear them sing! We saw them twice in Boston. The first show we went to was in a fairly small auditorium. We had fantastic seats and it was a thrilling performance! Their encore was an "unplugged" rendition of "O Holy Night." But last year they were at the Wang Center---our seats were further back, and they were over-amplified.

I love the Yankees, too!!!

Noooooo!!! The evil empire, as I like to call them! But I'm accepting of anyone's choice of team...as long as they are okay with me rooting against them any time I can! lol

We can't see penguins without thinking about Gloria Jean. She starred in a movie that involved a girls' club called the Purple Order of Penguins, so we are always buying her various penguins. She has a clear acrylic penguin that sits atop a base with an LED in it that changes colors, so the penguin transitions from blue to green to yellow to red to blue, etc.

That sounds like an amazing penguin!! I try to collect as much stuff as I can but now I'm having trouble finding places to put all the stuff! We are trying to find a cool penguin wedding cake topper...I have one in mind but it's a little expensive!

Plans are good! I think we really are gonna go with the Yorktowne even though we have two appointments with other venues on Monday (we have until Wednesday to tell the Yorktowne definitely yes or no, and one of the places we're visiting on Monday is DEFINITELY out of our price range, we think). I'm loving trying on dresses, and honestly other than that, there hasn't been much planning going on. Once we get the venue booked, I think we'll get a little more serious. We still have over a year left. :D

Hi all!

The concert last night was good! We were 11 rows from the stage but riiiiiight in front of a large speaker, so I had a bit of a migraine this morning. Still, both bands were amazing (Sick Puppies and 3 Doors Down) and we had a great time with our friends (Travis asked his best friend to be his best man in the middle of one of the songs, lol).

This morning, I helped out at a Kohl's charity event, selling lemonade and temporary tattoos for Alex's Lemonade Stand. It was a ton of fun, even though it was 50 degrees out and started raining halfway through!

Right now, Travis and I are watching Penn State lose to TEMPLE! Nothing against Temple, but we should really be beating them...there've been so many missed opportunities for us to really run away with this game...ugh! So frustrating for us to watch!

Have a good day, everyone!

I AGREEEEEEEE! I love coming here more than I do facebook!

Me, too!

Oh Meceka! Sorry, I need to wake up. The kitten is, Palmer, right? I even replied to your thread for prayers. I hope he gets well soon!
I think I need Carl's blend this morning. =)

Thank you, CAH! Palmer is doing loads better this afternoon - hungry and playful :D

I read this when I woke up this morning. Great stuff! Even though I am Canadian, I have always been a Tigers fan. Detroit is much closer to Sault Ste. Marie than Toronto (I grew up in the Sault and my family still lives there). Excited for the playoffs!

Yay - another Tiger fan!!! I am very excited - love, love, love them!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear Palmer is doing better! Congrats on your Tigers!

That sounds like a very interesting show to watch - I love documentaries!

What a sweetie he is!!!

I LOVE their garlic-cheese biscuits!

I do not like them at all - finally figured out why - to me they taste salty!

Same here!

I would like to have seen them in concert - love 3 Doors Down! I'm glad you had a good time!
