Good Morning, Christmas Friends! :sparkle:

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday so far!! It's gameday, so I'll be watching my Pack, and Adrian, my husband will be watching Da Bears. There will be some razzing involved, I'm sure!

It's supposed to reach the mid 90's again today, wish I didn't have to run the AC. I would love to open the windows & let in some fresh air.

Harlowe, our pup, had another episode last night. She's almost done with her steroid meds & liver support, so I'm hoping that it was just a bad stomach upset/side effect. Please say some prayers for her. We will take her to the vet again in a couple of weeks after the meds are out of her system to do a liver function test. Fingers are crossed.

Time to turn on some Christmas music & get a few things done around the house before football starts!

Hope you all have a beautiful day!

Stacey

Well crap.....

Just got back from the vet...our dog is in the middle stages of congestive heart failure...vet says we can treat some of the symptoms...but he doesn't know for how long....he said this can go anywhere from two months....six months would be the tops....

Guess that's the bad thing about pets...wife is crushed....we don't have kids yet, so they really are our kids....and that is her baby....

But ya know, it could be worse....we could have needed to put him down today....as it is know, we can bring him home and spoil him every more. He isn't in pain...doctor assured us of that...we get the chance to make the next few months memorable.....that'll be fun.....

Dang dogs....just breaks your heart....

Hello MMC! I need to get caught up on the forums. I plan on doing that this evening after the kids get to bed. Anyway, Elexis had her 2nd birthday party yesterday and Dylan was baptized. It was a beautiful and fun day for everyone involved. Elexis has so many knew things to play with. She was exhausted though - she slept for 12 hours last night. Today has been a relaxing day - I've just been picking up all the knew toys and books - over and over again, then I made a broccoli and cauliflower cheese soup in the crockpot for dinner tonight. It smells sooo good. Well, I guess I better go get the table set for dinner. I will be back on later. "Talk" you all then!

Good luck!!

I love SVU. And will miss Christopher Meloni when his episodes are done! Sad that Mariska won't be on as much, too. It just won't be the same. They are a great team!

Thank you! As of right now I am winning in one matchup and losing in another...it sucks bc the Chargers and Pats are playing each other and between my two leagues, I'm playing Brady (Pats QB), Welker (Pats WR), Grontkowski (Pats TE, I think, or RB), the Pats defense, and Rivers (Chargers QB). So, while I want the Pats to do well and the defense be able to stop Rivers, I also want Rivers to do well to get me points, so it's a very confusing feeling, lol!!!

Meloni, as far as I know, isn't going to be in ANY eps this season...they just give him an off-screen exit, which I am NOT happy about in any way, shape or form!! I almost don't want to watch anymore because Elliot and Olivia are the reason I watched that show and it just won't be the same. It's just like X-Files...when Mulder left, I stopped watching (I eventually got back into it, but only when he came back). But...we'll see.

Coach, I am SO SORRY to hear that. I couldn't imagine being in your situation, although with Gunner (Travis' dog) getting older, it might be coming soon for us too. I wish you all the strength in the world to get through this. <3

I'm also very sorry to hear that, Ballcoach. I'm very glad he isn't suffering. Enjoy spoiling that pup. I will be saying prayers for you & your family.

Sounds like you had a busy & enjoyable weekend~ Happy Birthday to Elexis! I bet Dylan's baptism was beautiful. Enjoy your dinner & some down time!

I had signed up for the Gift Exchange. Does anyone know who the coordinator is? Trying to look for a thread, but can't find one either.:-o
So have i and i have not a clue . some of the longer standing friends will come to the rescue i hope :give:

Here is the
Christmas Gift Exchange

Also, don't know how your browser shows it, but near the top of the page I see big squares that are linked to the card exchange, gift exchange, ornament exchange, cookbook, etc.

Clips for your Christmas themed DVD?? Do you make your own movie??? If so, that's pretty cool!! :D

We take Christmas clips from existing movies, TV shows, commercials, etc. and make up a DVD of roughly an hour. Each clip is only a few minutes long. This year is our third. Before that, we did an annual Christmas cassette (later CD) of funny/rare songs from our collection for ten years. We send one out each year to our various friends. For the DVD, we have to start in August or September so we can edit the clips, add titles, fade-ins, fade-outs, etc. A good bit of work, but the results are rewarding! Here are a few examples of clips from previous years.

I'm so sorry to hear your bad news ... at least you know you will still have some quality time with him. Even so, it's heartbreaking.

Heartbreaking, indeed. All the best to you and your wife during this time, coach. Animals, especially dogs, have a massive soft spot in my heart. Keep treating him well and, as you said, make the next few months - and perhaps Christmas - extremely memorable for him.

I always cry when I read these stories. So sorry to hear he is so sick. Spoil him and make some good memories while he is still well enough to enjoy it all.

Coach, I am so sorry! I will keep you, your wife and your fur kid in my prayers!
((((HUGS))))

Good evening,

Just watching Sleepy Hollow as we are getting ready for the Halloweeny type movies, this is as gory as I get. My Bengals almost pulled off another comeback, they are a young exciting team and I am impressed with the rookie QB Andy Dalton. I must get ready for bed soon I will be trying to be going back to work tomorrow, at least I have Tuesday off to recover if I am not doing well.

Have a Christmasy night! :wiggy:
