We had a a lot of rain last night and it was great! We sure did need it. The drought has been so bad that now we have a limit of selling 2 bales of hay per customer at the price of $10.50 each! I can't wait until this is over and the animals can have plenty to eat!

All the sheep I had are on strike. They are overworked and underpaid. I kept them up all night counting them over and over and they just had enough!

Sorry, Made!

That must be what happened to mine, too

Yay, rain! Those poor animals - I pray the drought ends, too!!!

Hi every one!
We got the keys to our house! We are very busy moving, painting, laying the floor, building our own kitchen, tiling, visiting IKEA etc. It is a lot of hard work, but it it so much fun and so worth it! The only setback is that we still do not have internet! so that's why I have not been on here at all! (that and the fact we are so busy!)
Hope all of you are well! I am still counting down with you, even though offline and from a great distance!

Hi, Kerstig! Congratulations on your new home - I hope you get internet set up soon so that you can visit us more!

I have a busy day ahead of me but I wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Monday!!!!!!!!!!

Kerstig - Happy Moving Day! You'll be all settled in your new home for Christmas - where will your tree go?????

Coach - I am always running a few days behind from you guys and it takes me an age to reply to posts but just wanted to say how sorry I was to hear your news. We have a big daft Labrador who is naughty to the core but I have no idea what I would do without him. My thoughts are with you and your wife :nice:

Happy Monday all.

That's okay. I ended up counting Skunks while sitting very still on the front porch of my apartment. With all of the cat food people leave out we have a very healthy population around my apartments. I had one walk pass me that I could have climbed onto and rode like a horse.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It's going to be a dreary day here in central Indy. We have been getting a light drizzle and it should continue through out the morning. I ended up getting about 2 hours of sleep. So I see a nap in my future after the nascar race this afternoon. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good Morning, New Week Friends!

Hey Crown,, how far back do we go with this thing..I dunno 13.. 14 years?.....
By that, I assume you mean Christmas forums.
I first registered at Christmas.com back in either 2002 or 2003. I think you were already there.
It's been a great run, hasn't it? (Well lubricated with coffee and sleep!)

OK!
A new week -- a new count figure:
Days to the Season: 55
Days to Christmas Day: 97
UNDER a week now to the the 3/4 Christmas Day Milestone!

Overcast here but no rain predicted.
We stand at 62 currently, bound for a predicted high in the mid 70's by this afternoon.
Nice!

You have a Marvelous Monday, Folks.
I hope your week is off to a great begining!

It's quite a nice day here today but only 64 degrees the days are sure getting cooler now. Adding to that I woke up the wrong side of noon which isn't normal for me. I have been having pretty late nights recently though!

Another Monday---bright and chilly, with a brilliant blue September sky. It's supposed to warm up later in the week, but for right now, it's a perfect autumn day (with the exception of spending it at work).

Kerstig, congratulations on your new home! We're looking forward to seeing you on line soon.

Not only is MC multi-talented, she is the ear to one of Hollywood's BEST, and is likewise talented, herself. We are SO lucky to have her here!!!

*blushing* I'll try to live up to that.

Saturday I took Mom to eat at The Partridge & Pear in Pigeon Forge, TN. It's next door to The Incredible Christmas Place & across the parkway from The Inn at Christmas Place.

I had the Boxing Day Club. Turkey, bacon, & cornbread stuffing with cranbery mayo on sourdough bread. It was good & not too expensive. The decorations were nice. We were seated in the sunroom & there were pear trees painted on the ceiling & swags over every window with pears in them.

I'm longing for Christmas, but don't have the cash to get my shopping done. I'll probably be later this year on my shopping than I've ever been. I'll probably have to wait until December to get the shopping done this year. Normally I'm finished by Thanksgiving. Oh well, I can still enjoy the music, movies, & decorations!

Thanks Bradmac for the nice welcome! I see you've picked up on my lifelong nickname already. Last name is Drexelius and everyone I know naturally calls me (and pretty much the rest of my family) Drex.
Actually, I know guy whose first name is Drexel, and I thought it was similar. Either way, we're glad you're here, Drex! cheesy

Well crap.....

Just got back from the vet...our dog is in the middle stages of congestive heart failure...vet says we can treat some of the symptoms...but he doesn't know for how long....he said this can go anywhere from two months....six months would be the tops....

Guess that's the bad thing about pets...wife is crushed....we don't have kids yet, so they really are our kids....and that is her baby....

But ya know, it could be worse....we could have needed to put him down today....as it is know, we can bring him home and spoil him every more. He isn't in pain...doctor assured us of that...we get the chance to make the next few months memorable.....that'll be fun.....

Dang dogs....just breaks your heart....
I'm sorry, Coach. I know how heartbreaking it is to lose a loved pet. As you said, spoil him and don't worry about. He'll love you even more for it!

I believe I'll see Ben, my lab, again. I'm sure he's bird hunting with my dad now, waiting on me to join them in the field.

Oh my goodness, you lucky person, you! I LOVE The Incredible Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge! I haven't eaten at The Partridge & Pear yet, but I hear good things about it!

We're going up in a few weeks, and I can't wait!!!!

Good Morning Christmas Friends!!!

Its starting to get a little chilly down here in Georgia! For someone who loves Christmas I don't like cold weather!!! I'm recovering from my trip to Las Vegas, I had lots of fun! So much fun that I got a sinus infection & an ear infection lol!

Right now, we are about to have white chocolate chip pancakes. If you haven't ever tried them, you need to! QUOTE]

These sound sooo good. I've never tried them before, but will have to. I've tried milk chocolate chip pancakes before, but now you have me curious. I will def. have to try them! Thanks for the idea!
