Now that Thanksgiving is over, I'll keep my eyes open for any Christmas treats as I walk through the aisles. I'm sure I will come across something!

hi thanks , we have a that over there and he went ot one called the AA might as well of sent me !!! he was even in a place to dry out 3 different times and he try,s to kill himself. not so much this past while but has done in the past
Seems to be he has a anger factor in him again not as bad as it just to be. sometimes he will just go on the drink to hurt his mum..
Hard to say it but there is times i could slap him and makes me realise how lucky i am to have a good man
Last year he got drunk at christmas and spoiled it for his family and of course i was sent for and i spent christmas eve afternoon trying to get him out of the pub ( leaving my shop and my partner to sort it out )and part of christmas day taking to him that i let my own friends and family down and kinda spoiled it for them but this year i gonna make it up i have felt so bad about it everytime i think about it as you have to wait a year to make it up

honey listen, i've had alot of experience w/ this type of person. although you are kind to try to help him this is something no one can do. his mother, family, whomever, cannot stop him! short of an intervention & inhouse secured therapy there's nothing to be done. his mother does NOT need to be in the home w/ him & it sounds like they are handling him w/ kit gloves when he's angry, unfortunately maybe the law should be called & him removed from the home. i know this sounds hard but he's living a hard life right now. please do not be angry w/ me for saying this but in my family it's similar.

shellie i finally took my own advice after much running, chasing, following, person in my family. spoke w/ counselor @ drug/alcohol rehab facility. it doesn't mean you don't care about the person or family. it's just realizing you (I, WE) can't fix someone else, they have to do it, or sadly, not. my heart goes out to the mother but in this situation she's gonna have to 1. move him or herself 2. call police before he gets violent 3.pull herself up by the boot straps & toughen up for her own good so she's not ever injured.
all is good w/ me now i just pick & choose situations now.

Well, that's me and two other people I know who like fries dipped in mayo---I don't feel quite so weird now. But you folks who dip 'em in shakes ... I dunno!

McD's fries dipped in their chocolate shakes = YUM - although my younger cousin, who is one of the finickiest eaters I have ever met, prefers them in the vanilla cheesy

Mom's surgery is done. She had to have stitches put in.
Also she has a dangerous amount of pressure build up as a result of the surgery. Doc has put her on 4 kinds of drops and an oral meds to try to lower the pressure. She has to go into his office on Saturday morning to have it checked again.
Doc says he will be on call for her and if she has any pain she is to go immediately to the hospital where her will meet her.

Normally this is not a problem and goes away in a couple of days, but mom also has Pseudoexfoliation Glaucoma [Glaucoma may develop as a result of the breakdown and flaking off of the colored material (pigment) found in the colored part of the eye (iris). This type of secondary glaucoma is called pigmentary glaucoma. Another flaky material (of unknown origin) that can deposit in the anterior part of the eye can cause a similar type of secondary glaucoma called exfoliation syndrome (pseudoexfoliation).] which is already causing a problem with eye pressure.

I am taking her to my brothers place for a few days as they live only 10 min from the hospital (I am 45 min away)

Good evening, everyone! I'm just getting up-was in bed all day today with a kidney stone. They're vicious little boogers, even if they are tiny. Spent the day curled up with my Halloween quilt, Christmas music, and cranberry juice, which made me feel slightly better. Hopefully it's all over for the moment, and I can go back to real life tomorrow. I hate being out of commission this time of year- there's so many pumpkin stands to visit, and all the Christmas things are coming out in the stores. It's not a good time to be stuck at home!

What a crazy day at work, had an OSHA inspection, ever since the bank fire& those crane accidents it is crazy. I am all for safety, these inspection make me nervous though if they find even a cigarette (? SP) butt you can be fined & receive a violation, it can get very nervous we enforce the no smoking but some people will still try, they get caught and can be fined and lose their job. But with all that we came through great, at least on my floors, YAY!!!! I owe everyone an update on the Christmas Angel, but I am so tired I wanted to check in as I just was't able to earlier.

Was not on for a few days and took a while to catch up.
Starting gettting the christmas pallets in as well as other stuff and hell they are hard work
I must have priced about 500 items. and there is still alot to check and price and still have another 8 pallets yet not counting the tree,s (sometimes i think i overdo the christmas stuff but it all goes so maybe not)
I want to decotate the shop and get all out but i fighting with myself not to do it to the 1st nov
But at the same time my storage is getting in sort supply and there is more to come.
Weather there is cool this morning but its dry at the minute.
I usually waken about 7 in the morning and you waken and you dont no what time it is as its dark, and the time goes back in a week or 2 so it will be getting dark at round half 6 . i love it as some how its a sign christmas is coming. dark cold days of christmas i use to hear my gran say

Happy Friday everyone! I'm doing much better today, and I made it back to work. We're having thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, forecast was for light showers and then sun. I haven't seen the sun yet, but there's still most of the day ahead of us. Hopefully it will be a pleasant weekend.

I am in a Christmas movie mood today. I have a very painful stomach ulcer that has flared up due to stress and anxiety, so the doctor said I have to have a stress free weekend. LOL (I laugh every time I think about those words together. LOL) Christmas lights, sounds, and movies always relax me. Hubby even took me last night and looked at Christmas decorations in the store. We were going to buy this outdoor train set that I liked, but they didn't have the one with the white lights that I wanted so the store is going to call me when they get it in. Yeah!!! I can't wait. I have to say, I am enjoying my day.

Good windy afternoon, Christmas family!

I hope this finds everyone and their families well and happy!!!

It is very cold out, but our new heater seems to be keeping the downstairs quite toasty - hopefully there will be big savings on the gas bill this season! While I was at Menard's I checked out their Christmas items - they have a nice selection out at the moment. There are a couple of ornaments I am thinking of buying, but I am waiting for them to go on sale.

I stopped into the store and checked on how the booth was doing this month - sold quite a few items! I put a few things on sale to decrease the inventory so I have room for all my Christmas items - I hope customers take advantage of the sale. On a side note, I bought a cinnamon broom to decorate for fall, and the booth smells so good, it draws you in! I'm going to get some of the cinnamon pine cones - I see them in grocery stores all the time and the smell is divine - I think small baskets of them here and there on the shelves will be nice decorations that won't take up a lot of room.

Yesterday was Homecoming in my hometown and I went to the game as I know some of the players and band members. What a nice time it was - it didn't rain that hard and the wind wasn't nearly as strong as today. When I left, the home team was winning 48 - 8.

Just ordered some cordless LED-lighted Christmas wreaths, a few for gifts plus a new one for our front door! We went to BJ's today to renew our annual membership and wound up buying several Christmas gifts. And I may be crazy and reckless, but I pre-ordered a Kindle Fire. I may regret it when it actually ships and I get charged for it, but---well, what the heck. I know I'm going to use it and enjoy it. I can fill it up with Christmas movies and music and books for the season.

So many of our gifts are already bought/made that we may just do our wrapping and packaging at our leisure throughout November so we can ship the stuff out right after Thanksgiving and enjoy the holidays without too much pressure! That sounds so good that something has to be wrong with that idea somewhere!

CJ - try adding water to you day, I kid you not it was the first step I did, I started slow, you don't have to go crazy, just add one healthy thing to your diet and reduce the bad stuff a little at a time and before you know it you are doing it. One tip WW gave us is park far away from the store you are going too and walk, it adds up... Good luck!!!

Thanks I will give it a try, I can't even remember the last time I had plain water lol, I drink too much coffee, Iced Tea, etc. And the parking far from the store will be an easy one this time of year as the stores get busier lol!

Do you have DSL? Try this: double-check the DSL filters on every single phone line in the house to make sure they are all in place. We had frequent drops for a long time and couldn't get any satisfaction from Verizon. One day I decided to double-checked the DSL filters, and found one missing---the line was plugged directly into the wall jack. (Never figured out where the missing filter went!) Bought a new filter for the line, plugged it in---huge improvement. Sometimes the problem is something so simple that it's overlooked.

I have a cordless phone system with 3 handsets so I am only using one of the jacks, the other ones have nothing in them. but I am going to replace the DSL filter on it, I have like 3 brand new ones that came when I got DSL and maybe the filter thing is bad, worth a shot.

It's a beautiful and sunny Spring morning here in Sydney. I'm not exactly sure how to spend it, since it's just that good of a day. Maybe pop down the beach with my sister and chill out, plus enjoy the fresh air while I'm down there. I'm getting more pumped up for Christmas by the day. I might watch a Christmas movie if I'm in the mood, but who knows. I don't know if it's too early or not. I know Christmas is just around the corner, but my parents and sister tend to think that Christmas is months and months away. Pity, but at least my mother is kind of in the same boat as me. Sadly, I have exams on my mind, but I am happy to know that I will pass, since nobody can fail the School Certificate, even if you got less than 10%. You still get it. If you live in Australia, you would know what I'm talking about. Just a tad annoyed with my year advisor, she keeps preaching to me that I still have to go to school after the exams, but there really is no point. We'll see what happens, I'll most probably makeup an excuse and tell the school that I'm going somewhere, but the cool thing is that I'm most probably going somewhere during that period of time. You can tell that I'm not a fan of school, but it's a part of life, so I have to do it. It's a chore, but it's fun on Tuesday and Thursday's, since I have such easy subjects and all I do is have fun and chill out on those days. Hope everybody is in good spirits. Catch you later everyone.
