During tournaments, it is not unusual for my teammates and I to have ice baths. They are freezing, but they make you feel so much better the next day. It's worth the 10-15 minutes of pain! I've had a few Epsom Salt baths recently. This also seems to do the trick. My feet were really hurting after standing up all day at the store, so that night I went home and stuck my feet in the pool. Wow, that was some COLD water! But about 15 minutes of that and they didn't hurt anymore...as a matter of fact, I couldn't feel anything below my ankles!
All of those things sound wonderful! Happy Birthday to you, and congratulations on 50! :???:I MADE IT! I'M 50!
There! Now that I have that out of my system, I can tell you about the advantages of having a 50th birthday;
1) Cake for breakfast
2) Some places still start with the Senior discounts when you're 50.
3) Going out to dinner.
4) Getting flowers from your Sister.
I'm enjoying myself hugely here at work, walking around in a shirt with a big Jack-O-Lantern on it that says "This is what 50 looks like". The patients think it's pretty funny. I think I'll wear it out to dinner- We're going to Baugher's Farm restaurant, and then we'll have a look at their flower and produce stand. It's such a lovely day for a ride, too. I can't wait to get off work so we can get started!
This hasn't got anything to do with anything but I saw it and thought of you (you as in plural!)
Inner Peace
If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat plain food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without liquor,
If you can sleep without the aid of drugs,
Then you are probably the family dog!
Congratulations to your daughter and your family! That is fantastic news!!Hey Christmas family! well we're back from the dr. now & daughters MRI was clear (thank you dear Lord) & her blood tests didn't raise any questions. it appears that the migraines are hereditary.doc has her on a preventive med that's usually used to treat seizures but has been found to be beneficial for prevention of migraines too. doc also gave her meds for migraines when they start. her sugar was borderline high @ fasting so he instructed her to drink lots more water, not juices. the preventive med makes soda ( which she loved @ 15) taste like metal & instead of drinking sugarless mixes or water she turned to juices. not any more, doc didn't like that @ all. she has to start w/ 32oz. a day & work herself up, then go back for more blood tests, but i do believe she'll be fine once off the juice.
i would like to thank each of you for praying for her. i was a bit worried this morning but didn't want her to know.
oh i almost forgot, i let her drive to the appt this morning as she has her learners permit. hubby always rode w/ our sons while learning. now i remember why. i am so impatient!! she did pretty good actually. it was just me. so if you're ever in South Carolina....look out!!
What kind of car?! That's great to hear, MsChristmas! Hopefully the kids like it as much as you do - both the car and new hair clolourI have had a busy weekend, my hair is now dark brown and I have a brand new car! I will try to get some pics posted later. I hope you all have a wonderful Monday evening

I was excited to read how this turned out. It's funny how short-haired dogs can shed so much! Hopefully he doesn't hate you as much as you thought he might. I'm sure, deep down, he really appreciates being sprayed with the hose.Just getting done with washing snowball. I can't believe the hair that comes off him! I brush him 3x weekly and still he sheds so so bad. Anyways he is 3 shades lighter white now,and that should do him until March..!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!
Yesterday afternoon, my son and I went out to our hunting spot that we planted with rye grass last week. After all the rain we got last week, the rye is really growing. And there are lots of deer tracks in the freshly plowed soil. It might be a good season!
I hope y'all have a great day!
Good Afternoon Christmas Family.......

Big News!
Operation Christmas Prep 2011 officially begins in about 25 minutes. Little more to go on cleaning the garage, then the Christmas boxes get moved there so I can start examining the lights and getting stuff ready. Next weekend, outside lights will go up.
I've had more fun drawing how I'm going to decorate the house this week. I bet I've done 20 different ways....and I still haven't settled on one. Who knows....I may change it ten times before Christmas! My mom is going to buy my wife (blink blink) a inflatable Santa that is 16 feet tall. I know exactly where I'm putting that baby....
at the school! I think I may decorate there too! Who knows!
Have a great Saturday friends! About to finish up reading and then time to start Christmas......
Oh, did you know that ABC family Countdown to Christmas is out! I think I read that someone in the last one and a half....but I know I've seen it!
Very exciting! I just decorate as I go! Lol!![]()
Good morning Christmas family! oops 12:18...Good afternoon Chrsitmas family! trying to figure out what to do 1st today as i've gotten a late start already.been enjoying coffee w/ hubby & son on the front porch all morning. hubby's been hunting w/ no luck in "the big one" yet.
i haven't really been anywhere to find Christmas decor out except belk dept. store., in their home section, it's full on. the Gamecocks are on tv now so i don't know what if anything i'm gonna do now!!!lol.
i'd love to get Christmas out & start going thru it but i doubt hubby or sons will just yet.
i know alot of you are already Christmas shopping but i just don't know what to get anyone yet. sons want clothes & daughter wants cowgirl boots. i may browse the net today for sons but cowgirl boots are so pricey. daughter will have to pick them out (she's sooo picky) & i have to find affordable ones.
hope everyone has a great Saturday.
honey listen, i've had alot of experience w/ this type of person. although you are kind to try to help him this is something no one can do. his mother, family, whomever, cannot stop him! short of an intervention & inhouse secured therapy there's nothing to be done. his mother does NOT need to be in the home w/ him & it sounds like they are handling him w/ kit gloves when he's angry, unfortunately maybe the law should be called & him removed from the home. i know this sounds hard but he's living a hard life right now. please do not be angry w/ me for saying this but in my family it's similar.
caninemom3, i love your hugs & xoxo, if someone may feel uncomfortable about this that is truly sad. no ill thought should come to mind of an expression of love & kindness. i'm so sorry this was brought to your attention.
