Christmas Countdown - 2011

hope all is going well with you all
its 5.40 pm here shop just shut
A lot of christmas stuff sold today
Now some food and then have to get reeady for the halloween party
Am running round looking stuff to get the scary zombie look on the face
And as usual its raining nothing new there.
Will check in later and will get some photo,s on tomorrow just to let you see how big a fools we all are

All of these snow pictures on the weather channel are really putting me in the christmas mood. I really want to get my tree down out of the attic and put it up right now. I wonder what my neighbors would say.

WOW, I just can't believe the amounts of snow some areas are getting. Where I live, there's just a little bit of snow mixed in with a lot of rain. I was just looking at some news stories that said some places have gotten a foot of snow. In OCTOBER! I guess we hit it lucky here this time-no foot of snow for us.

My stitches were removed from my shoulder today. I only had to have four "holes" for the doctor to do his surgery. I am SO far behind, but I am looking forward to catching up on all the posts. There's not a lot I can do physically, so this will keep me busy. I am just giddy with excitement about all the posts, the upcoming holidays, the new cookbook, the gift exchange and all the other exchanges, and, yes, my upcoming surgeries. My eye surgeries will be done on November 2 and the facelift on December 14. Oh, how vain am I? I will be returning to work on a limited basis. I cannot believe how it is getting harder to bounce back. I am sure it has NOTHING to do with my age!!! I had to take a three-hour nap the other day! I hope to finish all my catching up right after my eye surgeries. Note the use of the word "hope." And a HUGE congrats to Dawg for being MOM. It is a great honor, and the green banner is an added touch of recognition. My eyes are slowly closing, so I better get to bed. I really miss you guys.

So glad to hear from you, Seawaters! Continue to heal and take time to rest. Keep us updated and I will continue to pray for you!

Tonight am supposed to be going to a halloween fancy dress but i dont no what to do as there is a street party tomorrow up the street and then a halloween party in another bar and the person doing the music is a good friend.
Usually every other weekend in this town there is nothing .

I talked to my great aunt in Ducansville last night and she didn't even realize that it was supposed to snow. She was quite shocked when I told her they were saying 8 inches.

We've got about 5 inches or so here so far I would say, Made. She probably has about the same about the same amount since our towns are right beside each other. It's really beautiful out! Some people have lost their power - we haven't yet - I hope it stays that way!

I've had the Halloween itch today. As previously mentioned, I am not dressing up or partaking in any festivities. However, I have had a few friends ask me to go out and stuff. I wish I could! But, I really can't afford it. Oh well!

My dad should arrive in a matter of minutes. It is just under a nine hour drive from the Sault to Ottawa, so I'm saying that he will be here by 4:15. Upon his arrival, we will be heading for some Endless Shrimp, which will be followed by an evening of watching hockey and hanging out.

Louie seems to be doing better. He doesn't seem to be coordinated as much as before, but he isn't sleeping all day anymore. Hopefully he will make a full recovery, and thank you SO much to everyone who sent their thoughts/prayers our way, it means a lot.

The rain has changed over to snow here, and it feels like the temps are dropping, too. It's about 34F now. We just finished topping off our windshield washer fluid and covering our windshields. We're in for the night, and maybe for tomorrow, too, depending on how much falls. Cross your fingers that we don't lose electricity and heat. The snow is very wet and sticky, and is already clinging to the tree leaves.
