What a day! I just went out to my car and someone broke into it and slide the electric seat all the way up to the underneath the steering wheel and ripped out and controls so I can't even get into it because I am so tall. I don't even think brandi could get into it and she's 4 '11!! because its all the way up to the controls! guess I have to call the cops!

OMG you did not need that. what can i say . hope you can get it sorted someway some horrible people in the world

Sorry about your misfortunes. Some people can be so cruel and pathetic.

Good Morning, friends!!

Hope you're all having a good Wednesday so far~

I'm starting to get really excited for Thanksgiving, been planning out my menu... and excited for the weekend after, of course...
That's when we get out all of our Christmas decorations!! :???:
I went to Home Depot yesterday, and HAD to stop to look at their Christmas decorations. Of course they had so many neat things! I actually found some of the pre-lit LED battery operated garlands- maybe I'll get those! But, the coolest thing was a gorgeous pre-lit tree that had a touch of snowy glitter & pinecones. Sparkly! Stunning! Of course I thought I already had my dream tree, then I saw this one...ugh! What to do?! I don't think they have sales either, do they?

Harlowe has been doing pretty good. Her Dr. called us last Friday & said that the internist thought she may have had some sort of spontaneous gall bladder contraction where her post test results may have been affected. She suggests a few different things- a liver biopsy, Lactulose trial, and another medicine called Actigall . It's just frustrating because we've spent so much money trying to figure things out for the last 5 months, and we're still just guessing. My husband feels we have to draw the line somewhere. Especially since she's doing so much better. As is, she's now on 4 different medicines again & that's getting expensive. Don't get me wrong, we'd do anything for her! I just wish they could pinpoint something definitive. Please say prayers for her & us so we don't lose our
minds :-?

Has anyone seen any more Christmas commercials? I've seen a few more, and am loving it! 'Tis The Season!!

Thinking of you all- have a great November day!

22 days until Thanksgiving! View attachment 1004
i know what your hubby's saying, vets & meds can be so $y.i am going to pray for her full recovery.
all of the stores sell christmas decorations now and i guess the announcment for the weihnachtsmarkt in my city will be put out this week....next week is st. martin s day over here and all the kids will be walking thru the night with lanterns and sings songs and the grown ups usually drin mulled wine....the rest of the world seems to be catching up to us now :D
what is weihnachtsmarkt? st.martins day sounds wonderful for adults & kids-wish we had that instead of halloween

Looks like a busy day later today---I've been told to expect a copy deck for a revised website. I've seen the unrevised website ... yeah, I'm gonna be busy when that hits my desk! I hope I can get to the 'Pines tonight.

Don't give up just yet---keep an eye on the airfares for that weekend---maybe they'll go down. Also, the fare sometimes goes down if you fly at non-peak times (weekdays, red-eyes, stops instead of non-stop) ... check out some different times and dates and different airlines. Also check airfares to nearby non-Boston airports (Hanscomb or Manchester)---you could drive to Boston from there, or take a bus. There might be a way to work it out yet.

Hey MerryCarey,

Those are some great suggestions but a couple of things are in my way:

1.) Tallahassee has a small, regional airport.

2.) I don't have a car so I can't just go to Jacksonville to reach an international airport.

3.) I have the Transplant Games of America (http://www.transplantgamesofamerica.org) coming up two months after the wedding. Previously, it was the U.S. Transplant Games (got canceled, but reignited by some passionate recipients, long story ;-)) and I've been involved since 2002. I'm on Team Florida, on the commmittee and admin the Team Florida group page on Facebook. The Games mean A LOT to me.

I'm S-L-O-W-L-Y getting out of my funk. Tonight I'm going to finish off that leftover ravioli. cheesy

P.S. Last night's Glee was just "eh" IMO. Any other Gleeks out there?

:p
good pinesday everyone!
having a blast here. undrtakr & carl are playing some kind of snowball bowling & yelling so loud w/ each strike i can hardly hear anything else.

had a short day @ work, went to my parents house & helped my mama w/ a few things, came home &one of my sons had gotten out of class early today(professor cancelled), so i had him go pick his sister up @ school. trying to catch a breather here. seems i've been wound so tight & been so busy.

looking out from the window now @ all the fall color & it's beautiful...burgandy, gold, yellow, rust, red. oh my goodness it's sooo perdy!

i really wanted to put out all my Christmas decor this weekend but hubby says we have to find & fix the water leak 1st, repaint the frontporch before the garlands go up, & shampoo the carpets in the house. i wish there were 7 days in a weekEND right now. i know he's right but darn i need some Christmas!!!!!!
hope ya'll safe, healthy, & happy!
p.s. i really miss xmas.:???:

Stay with us here on MMC, that will cheer you up!!! :???:
I have watched GLEE a few times and enjoy it. I really don't follow the story, just listen to the music. I am usually doing stuff around the house while it's on. I guess I am not a true, Gleek! =)

That's awful. Hopefully they catch the person(s) responsible.

I worked at Hallmark tonight and we are almost completely prepared for Open House this weekend. How many of you are going to an Open House?

I am planning on going to the Hallmark open house Saturday morning!!! Can't wait!

music choice on cable started their christmas music this morning.

My house is smelling more piney by the day. Hubby said his Christmas Nut is about to let loose and start her decorating. My MIL said it was to early and I politely told her we lived here and she did not. Love her to pieces but sometimes she frustrates me by being nosey and bossy. I guess that is what they do lol.

Well we were looking on the adoption sites for our state and we decided on older kids. Starting in February we will be going through the pre-assessment process which is 30 hours total. That puts us up to foster parents then we have like 3 months with the child(ren) living here that we have to go through in order to get to the adoption phase. The 3 months gives not only the potential parents time to adjust but the child(ren) as well. We saw 10 we were interested in but have decided at most we will adopt 2 then maybe more down the line, depends on many things though.

I will be going to Healthy for Life class tonight over at the church and then picking up his meal from Wednesday Night Supper and back here to finish getting my living room ready for the influx of decorations that are coming down either tonight or tomorrow. Hope you all have a good time at the pines. See you all soon.:???:

I understand completly. Last year I flew out of Tallahassee but still had to change planes in enternal hell and torment that is Atlanta. Valdosta and tallahassee are completle ripoffs as far as plane fairs go... If you can try flights out of Orlando,or especially Jacksonville. Maybe someone can give you a lift?? Just a thought because I have been is your situation before!! I hope it works out for you!

I'm sorry to hear that Dawg. Someone tried to still my truck 8 years ago and it was a pain to deal with everything. The insurance company was great but it took the dealer almost a month to get the steering cloumn fixed. I could've rewired the whole truck in that amount of time.

hi snowflake

hi snowflake i feel for you . really do, i went though 7 months with my sandy . costing a pure fortune not that the money mattered wood do it all over again. you think they have it sorted then they come back with something else. i keep telling then what to look for ( as i had done my time as a vet nurse) not one of then listerned to me till it was to late. a week after the results showed up what i had said all long.. i always will think i should have fought harder.. some of then have not a clue. they are guessing and trying this and that.
But if the wee thing is doing good. thats a god sent.
Actigall is used for treat gallstones ,helps break them down (if i am thinking of the same thing)
As i said i feel for you. it wood put your nerves away.
will say a wee prayer to st therese. goodlick girl and really hope harlowe stays doing good. and hopefully these might help this time

Thanks, Shellie. It sounds like you know exactly what I'm going through. Sorry about Sandy xo...
I really appreciate your thoughts & prayers.
Yes, my vet said Actigall is used to treat gall bladder disease & to improve liver function, the latter being for Harlowe. About the money, Harlowe is truly priceless to me, I just wish I could put it towards her treatment, not so many shots in the dark. After each test, comes another test suggestion. It's very frustrating. Thanks again for thinking of us

Sorry to hear about this, gabulldawg. It's so senseless. Good luck with the police, hope they catch whoever did it!
My car has been broken into twice here, each time only taking spare change. IDK what they were thinking, I only have factory everything, lol. They were even "nice" enough to lock the door again! You still feel creeped out & violated. Hopefully your police are better there, mine didn't seem too concerned, didn't even come & look at my car since there was no visible damage. They even had the nerve to ask me why I reported it, then. I said, to put it on record!
Anyways, good luck & hope you get everything taken care of. Glad you & Brandi are ok & weren't around when they did this, you never know what a criminal is capable of.

Snowflake, I hope Harlowe gets well soon!

Thanks, CAH! :)

Thank you, Merry! We really appreciate it! xo

Are you a recipient or a donor? I hope I don't sound like I'm prying, but transplanting is an interest of mine, too. I gave my brother a kidney in 2005.
