We are supposed to get the rain in a couple of hours and then we should start cooling off too.

So. Get this. This will make you laugh.

November 1st I put the tree up. Just put it together with nothing on it yet. We are decorating it this weekend with family. Well. I plugged the tree in. Didn't light up. I was sure it was a pre-lit and so was my Wife. Well I'm running around on the main floor trying to plug it in to get it to light up. I called the store. Said its not lighting up. They said a bulb is burnt. I said dont they have the one goes out the rest stay lit lights? He said yes and said there is nothing that can be done being its out of warranty. Yeah...so....I checked the tree....not pre-lit...heh. Whoopsee! Happy Holidays! haha

Good Morning MMC!

Hope you all have a fantastic day!!!

Chat Details - I hope to be there, too!

I was hoping to make it, but we have a flag football scrimmage at that time. The season begins in January. We are just getting a bit of an early start to see what we need to improve before then. I guess I'll miss the chat! :x

OMG what a time at the Pines... someone get my lampshade back from Jayish.. and tell Made that grass skirt he was wearing was hilarious,,,

YABBA

Only at the Pines could I hula dance to Mele Kalikimaka and not get booed off stage.

But the flight back will be over Paris and I am not sure how to think about it yet. I read online that the paris airport is quite chaotic.

I actually flew through Paris twice during my trip to Prague/Amsterdam last year. We flew from Montreal to Paris, initially. We arrived at about 6 AM. We had to catch a shuttle to our connecting flight to Prague. However, the airport was very simple. If you read the signs, you will be fine.

On the way back, I flew from Amsterdam to Paris (then Paris to Toronto). This was much easier than expected. It was my first time flying, and basically my first time in a large airport - and I was doing this (final) leg of the trip on my own. It was quite simple, actually. Again, the signs help a lot and the staff and the airport is very helpful if you have any questions. I'm sure you will be just fine!

I can't believe Thanksgiving is in 3 weeks!!!!

Although I have alreaday celebrated my Thanksgiving, I certainly enjoy counting down to yours! It brings even more excitement to the Season!

I love the ornaments Carl was handing out last night

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!!! It's going to be a rainy day here in central Indy so I plan on staying home all day. My goal for today is to get my kitchen completely scrubbed down and ready for christmas decorations. I may even sneak a few out as I go along. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Good morning everyone! just waking up and taking the dog out! I saw a shooting star,or asteriod,or well something that was falling across the sky I even had time to wish upon it,,so I at least hope it was a shooting star, and not a plane falling from the sky or something like that..knowing my luck I wished upon a falling satallite from space..maybe that still counts. I hope everyone has a good morning!
I am glad I didn't have a mouthful of coffee when I read that!
Good news!

My mom spoke on my behalf and told Dad how much my cousin and I talk on Facebook, blah blah....well guess what? I'm now going to the wedding!

That is great news!
Someone mind explaining what the "Pines" is?

I just realized that I live in the wrong country! When I am online almost nobody else is here. Stupid time zones.

I see Undrtaker and Bradmac answered your question about the Pines. I also have a link in my signature to explain it as well.

No worries about the time zone, we eventually show up! =)
Yep 3 weeks from today! It will go by fast I'm sure..time seems to fly fast from here on till the end of the year.:x
Think S-L-O-W-L-Y!

Gabulldawg gave me a laugh already, I am glad I didn't have a mouthful of coffee reading this one too! Ha ha!

The Pines was fun last night! I don't think I got any of Binger's favorite blend of coffee because I should have been able to stay up late if I did have some. Instead I got a hold of de-caf and ended up falling asleep and missed out on Made dancing to Mele Kalikimaka! Do you have video???

Good Morning, Good Morning!

.....ohhhh mocha pineneedle java blend hangover.....
OK, Bing! Now you've REALLY given Carl ideas.
He whispered something to me as I was leaving the 'Pines last night about knowing what he can do with the leftover frasier fir branches.
(Remember, you asked for it!)

And with that tasty (or tasteless?) intro, let's get straight to the count, which is really starting to get exciting!
Days to the Season: 10 (SINGLE DIGITS from tomorrow!
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 21 (THREE WEEKS from today!)
Days to Christmas Day: 52 (UNDER 7 1/2 weeks!)
[ That first one is extra exciting, isn't it? ]

Thirty-Nine for my morning walk with Fox, the sheltie and his fur coat which I covet.
At least there was no wind and the sun was out.
Supposed to hit 67 by this afternoon. That will certainly be appreciated.

Allrighty, Folks!
You know what tomorrow is the eve of.
Just think about that as you have a Thoroughly Thrilling Thursday!

Thanks again to anyone who gave me access to the myths of Carl and the Pines. It is great to not be left with no clue.

Today it is all foggy here. Infact the last time I saw real sunshine was last satureday. That is the pain of living down instead of up the hills.

@Brent: Thanks for reassuring me. I am just a little exited because it will me my first time flying. I am sure I will enjoy it.

Busy Thursday ahead---preparing materials for a client meeting. Still haven't quite woke up yet.

My Christmas tree:)

Gorgeous!

Gosh I am not even going to try to google that this early in the morning...but I have been told Easter is determined by the old Hebrew calendar...but hey you didn't hear that from me and I could be totally wrong!!! anyone?/anyone??Sometimes it is in late march and sometimes in mid to early april and sometimes even late april...It always has confused me!

Here's more than you ever want to know about how the date of Easter is determined.

I'm glad you can go!

It's a PITA, but if you can find the burnt-out bulbs, you can replace them and you should get your lights back. We have a pre-lit tree that's several years old, and it's a challenge every year to track down the dead bulbs when a string goes dark. The catch is, if ONE bulb is burnt out the string stays lit. If MULTIPLE bulbs are burnt out, the string goes out, and you have to replace bulbs. The second catch is, some trees have a specially shaped bulb that can't be replaced with a standard mini-light. I returned a new one last year for that reason. Didn't want to have to replace the whole tree once a couple bulbs had burnt out!

I guess I'll miss the chat! :x

Just a reminder that the ChatBox on the forum home page and the Christmas Chatter are open ANYTIME someone wants to chat. The challenge is getting some other folks on there at the same time to chat with---that's why they have some scheduled chats. (You have to register to chat on Christmas Chatter.)

You know our 2 1/2 week vacation was really nice but (now to get all mushy with you all) I really missed all of you and it's so good to be back!

Our visit to Santa Claus, Indiana made me think of all of you here at MMC.

Usually I am bummed out after a vacation and coming home but this time I have Thanksgiving and Christmas to look forward to. Exciting times!!! It's also good to be back to MMC forums!
