Hope your all enjoying doing whatever it is your doing have a good evening and will pop in and out

well after digging 4 or 5 holes about 3-4' deep, we had no luck finding the leak. we do know the approximate area though so we are gonna wait till monday when the gas company can come & locate their line. just don't feel safe doing any more digging w/out them. we are gonna roast hot dogs & marshmallows outside tonight. bought all the stuff for smores too.:))

Today keeps getting better and better! I just happened to be flipping through the dishnetwork tv guide..I downgraded last month to save money and had to give up xm radio that came with the package I had but I did it anyway...well on channel 82 they changed the kidz(not typo believe it or not)network to holiday pop! So now I can listening to christmas music at home and in my car..the radio stations around here stop playing Xmas music at midnight on the 26th which is like sending someone into shock..that is what I love about hallmark movies and xm..they still playthe music and movies until at least the 1st of jan..I have to gradually wean off after the 25th...by the 2nd of jan I have come to terms with everything and ready to let go for another year! but I don't wanna think about that now!!

Forgot to mention yesterday---there's a big online sale on History Channel "history of the holidays" DVDs this weekend. I ordered a boxed set of 7 Christmas documentaries on 4 DVDs for $9.99! I'm going to enjoy watching all those! It doesn't ship until Nov. 15th, though. I'll just have to wait.
I have disc 1 but and Modern Marvel Christmas Tech but I do not have the others. I might have to buy that!!! The ones that I have I watch all the time!
Morning, Christmas family! Hope this finds all doing well! Been two days since I've posted, but we had a little family emergency and I wasn't around yesterday.
I hope all is ok!
Not-so-good news: While they have regular egg nog (small selection right now) out they don't have SOY egg nog out yet. BOO!! :-(
I'm allergic to dairy as well but usually Whole Foods start carrying soy egg nog. I will be on the lookout for it too, it's just not the same as the real stuff to me! =)
Greetings everyone, it's been a while since my last entry, I've been very busy, but today I must slow down, feelin a little overwhelmed. The stores here start putting up the Holiday decorations hours after Halloween is over. Sure lookn Christmasy! I'm still hunting for my Pine aromatic candles. Got my Christmas Ornament Exchange persons name a week or so ago. Hope to hear from the person soon. I've already found a beauty at our all year round Christmas Store located in Old Montreal! The store is called Noel Eternal! And it's been here for years. I think it first opened in Mid 90's.
Man....it's getting so close, and I'm still planning my lists for baking. Want to do a Panettone for the holidays, and a Stolen. TIME......TIME......TIME.....I'm feelin the stress already.......eeeeekkkkkk! Later........(just a small meltdown.):whisper:
Glad to see you on the countdown!

With all this Christmas spirit around everywhere I have decided to put up my tree and decor this tuesday the 8th! this will be the earliest ever for me but that is a day I work half a shift and will be home by lunch. I even checked the weather forecast for that day is will be 78 warm degrees but I don't care. I guess I will put up decorations in shorts and t shirt! actually speaking of the weather we are suppose to be in the 80's the week of the 15th sure that can change due to it being 10 plus days out but it is not looking good for us in the deep south as far as cold weather goes...but I try to not let that take away any Christmas spirit.!

Kim and I are going to The Works - a locally owned, fantastic homemade burger restaurant this evening for dinner. We are going with a friend of hers from school last year. The restaurant actually has about 80 different burgers to choose from, so it is always difficult to figure out what you want to eat! The last couple of times, I had the R.O.F. - the hottest burger there. It's delicious. Perhaps I will try something different today.

Overall it has been a beautiful day in Ottawa. Not a cloud in the sky with temperatures reaching 7c! Temperatures should be down to -2c tonight. It's getting chilly! A perfect evening to watch the Bruins vs. Maple Leafs hockey game and then play some board games with good friends. I am looking forward to it!

Hope your day has went well so far and I hope that your evening is shaping up to be as fun as mine!!

We went out to lunch and made a couple stops for gift cards, gift chocolate, Haviland orange thin mints, etc. ... very close to finishing the Christmas shopping, zeroing in on finishing our annual DVD of clips ... it's good to feel a little ahead of the game. Fingers crossed that nothing comes along to upset it all!

I got back from Mass about a half hour ago and actually understood the whole message of the two readings, Gospel, AND Homily. For me to "get" all 4 is like one in a million for me.

Right now I'm watching "Most Wonderful Time of the Year" and I just adore Henry Winkler. I think I like him more now than during his Fonzi days.

Like I said before, I'm LOVING this cooler weather and I hope Mother Nature lets it stick around for a while.

Lastly, I hope to go to Target tomorrow morning (yes, even with the confusion of the time change!) and buy Christmas CDs and boxes of Christmas cards to get ready for this year.

Question: Does anyone recommend any good websites where I can buy (and, if needed, make) return address labels? I have like 50-something right now but I just know I'll need more. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. cheesy

Good evening,

Busy day at work, I am home finally preparing for a day off tomorrow. I am making dinner for my in-laws since they are still without power, a chicken dinner with all the fixins. Don't forget that the original Grinch is on at 9pm on TBS tonight! I don't know why they put it on so late though. They play it every year on the first Saturday after Halloween, it is truly the start of the season for me when that is on.

Have a great night!

I just finished turning back all the clocks, I have to TRY to stay up an hour later than usual or else I will just end up waking up at 3 vs 4am...@xmas365 I hope your in laws get power back soon! enjoy your day off tomorrow! now only if I got the TBS station to see the grinch!

I have that show on dvd and I bet I end up watching it on tv!!! Like someone on here mentioned, forgot who, but it's fun to watch it on tv because you know you are watching it along with everyone else on MMC. =)

Very nice of you to cook for your in-laws!

I hope you feel better soon!

(((SUGAR))) - Hope you are feeling better soon and ((HUGS)) to Ella

I'm not sure what to think it wrong with me now. Really only one part of my back hurts now, so I'm wondering if I threw it out at work lifting a pt. That wouldn't be the first time. I did wake up with a temp. of 103F today though, so something must be brewing. EA still has her cold and now DS is vomiting. It's terrible to watch a 4 month old do that! Thank you guys for the well wishes!

I am so sad.. I cant seem to find any time on the computer these days.. I miss you all.. and hope everyone is doing well.... I cant believe how fast time is going....

Good to hear from you, MerryNoel!

Good evening,

We are in full recovery mode at work, work was closed for 3 days with no power. I have thrown away so much food the last 3 days, including over 3,000lbs of turkeys. Deliveries returned yesterday we have tried getting caught up for the weekend. The last week has been hell with the power outage, and the "cancelling of Halloween." The boys were so disappointed that the town cancelled trick or treating, but there was/is so many trees and wires down throughout the town that is all they could do. We took them to the Holyoke Mall for trick or treating but everyone in the area had the same idea, you couldn't move in that place. We lost some food, but we used snow to save the rest of it, considering we lost ALL of our food back in June after the tornado, we could not afford to lose everything now. The nights were chilly/freezing, did not sleep well trying to be sure the boys were warm, we ended up sleeping with one or the other every night to keep them warm. I finally got a shower last night, you probably could've smelled me from wherever you are until then. We only got about 8-9 inches of snow but the trees were destroyed all over the place. The things are getting back to normal around here, Christmas commercials are coming fast and furious now, Music Choice is playing the best music of all. Day off after tomorrow, I can't wait.

Have a great night, it's great to be back.

It's great to have you back, Xmas! Sorry you had to go through all of that. Hope you don't have any snowstorms like this year again.

My sister is coming at 6:15 tomorrow morning to walk & then I am picking up another sister at 8:00 to go to Hobby Lobby! (50 minute drive) We are going for coffee 1st & then I'm hoping to find some Thanksgiving things

Enjoy your time with your siter and your trip to Hobby Lobby!

MsChristmas - I hope you are getting along well after your surgery!!! Thinking about you & keeping you in my prayers!!

Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers as well, MsChristmas!

I forget the exact term but Has anyone heard of the alleged condition some men have when thier partner is pregnant I think it's called sympathy pains..I kinda believe in it!

They say it's true. My husband went through it as well. He even gained some weight along with me!

Yes I loved the most wonderful time of year too!! I can't watch the Christmas visitor way too emotional for me...I forget the name of one particular one I saw a few years ago about a son who works in a toy store and still lives at home to take care of his elderly parents and he meets a new executive that comes in to save the store and make more $$$ during the holidays of course they hate each other at first but fall in love ...I have not seen it in a few years...oh and Eve's christmas is great too It comes on tonight I think.!

I love the Hallmark movies! My tv is usually turned to the Hallmark Channel during the holidays. The Most Wonderful Time of the Year is one of my favorites as well!

oh no guys, guess what? i asked hubby to find the hallmark channel as we not long ago got "dish" installed & i don't know all the channels yet, & we don't get it! i could just cry. i could've swore that was one of the channels we get when we were getting it installed because i even said to hubby oh yaay i'll get to watch Christmas movies this year. this is a total bummer for me. boo-hoo-hoo:-o

Aww...that stinks. I feel so bad for you. I agree with gaballdawg...I would try to upgrade if you can.

Good morning! I hope this finds everyone well!!! I am behind on everything again, as usual. When I talked to my cousin yesterday, she sounded so down that I suggested a day of Christmas Spirit restoration was in order so I shelved all of my work plans and we went out. We went to the Hallmark Open House and a library book sale where they were putting out their Christmas items. Not much left on the Christmas table after I was through - I got several Christmas romance books, cookbooks and craft books. My cousin, who is not quite as into Christmas as I am, found a few things, too. All in all, a good day and to top it off, she was smiling when she got home! Yay!!!!

Sounds like you guys had a great time and you spread some great Christmas cheer to her. You're a great cousin!

Morning, Christmas family! Hope this finds all doing well! Been two days since I've posted, but we had a little family emergency and I wasn't around yesterday.

Hope everything is okay...

On another note I have decided to go back to England this summer for vacation since Brandi has never been outside london ,I wil stay with some friends I met when I lived there and I am looking forward to that now too

Sounds like a blast! I bet your excited! I would love to get to England some day!

Greetings everyone, it's been a while since my last entry

Great to hear from you, caltch!

I was doing the same thing and caught the tail end of some movie about firefighters (John Travolta was in it)
they were in a church singing Christmas carols and giving out awards for saving a little girl. Cannot tell you what movie it was, so if any one knows...

Ladder 49 - such a touching movie. With my DH being a professional firefighter and we had a line of duty death (firefighter die on the job) a few years back and he was my father-in-law's best friend, so that movie really hits home.

Well my nieces just left and my head feels like it's going to explode. So I'm going to take some tylenol and watch the new hallmark christmas movie. I better turn the clocks back to while I'm thinking of it. I'll catch up tomorrow. Goodnight Everyone!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting us know about this Xmas. I'll probably be sleeping at this time since I work tonight - an extra hour of work too - boo! Hope your in-laws get their power restored soon. That's very nice of you to cook a dinner for them! cheesy

hey ya'll...i just realized i've posted over 2000 now. woohooo-yaaay! i looked just the other day & it was @ 1700. man i've sure been doing alot huh?!:???:

Hi Christmas family! Hope this finds you all well! I work tonight at 11 and all I can say is major BOOOO! An extra hour of work - I hate when I can watch the clocks actually turn back. I hate that.

I didn't do too much today. The hospital is a little slow right now, so they actually put me oncall last night. It was probably a blessing in the skies because I ended up going the ER in our city. I just kept getting more short of breath and my back more painful. I had a slight temp., but all of my blood work and cat scan of chest came back normal. The doctor said he thinks I may be starting to get an infection in my chest, but he just wasn't sure. Anyway, I woke up this morning with a temp. of 103F, so I know I must be catching something. My back almost feels now like I threw it out. I tend to do that everyonce in a while at work. As for the temp. though, I don't have any explantions there.

EA also woke up with a temp. again this am, so maybe we're passing a bug back and forth, who knows. DS is now vomiting too - I just can't win. It's horrible to watch a 4 month old do so! I just hope they start feeling better soon. EA was so healthy again until I had to put her back into daycare once DH and I both went back to work after having DS and the first week that she was back, she had a cold. I guess there are just germs everywhere, you can't always protect you kids.

Well, I guess I should try to go take a quick nap. I hope you're having a great evening. For all of you get an extra hour of sleep, enjoy it! Talk to you all tomorrow! cheesy
