Ladder 49 - such a touching movie. With my DH being a professional firefighter and we had a line of duty death (firefighter die on the job) a few years back and he was my father-in-law's best friend, so that movie really hits home.

I just looked at my calendar and it's 2 weeks until thanksgiving vacation... Hello Christmas friends!

Hope you are doing well this evening!

It's been a busy day, so I'm sure I missed a lot. We've been getting the fall & Halloween decorations put away, and some winter & Christmas out. Hopefully it'll help to do a little early this year. Thanksgiving weekend the rest will come out!

Hubby is so wonderful! He spent a few hours on the outside working on the Christmas lights...looking so very festive!! He put out red & green bulbs in the carriage lights, red & green spotlights near the front walkway by the door, lights wrapped around the pillars, and chaser lights around the garage. He's saving the rooftop for another day, he & a few other guys in the neighborhood are renting a bucket loader to do all of theirs at once Glad @ that...It always makes me nervous when he's up that high.

Sounds of the season is on right now, and I watched more Hallmark while cleaning today. So happy the rest of the world is finally joining in on our little party! cheesy

I didn't do too much today. The hospital is a little slow right now, so they actually put me oncall last night. It was probably a blessing in the skies because I ended up going the ER in our city. I just kept getting more short of breath and my back more painful. I had a slight temp., but all of my blood work and cat scan of chest came back normal. The doctor said he thinks I may be starting to get an infection in my chest, but he just wasn't sure. Anyway, I woke up this morning with a temp. of 103F, so I know I must be catching something. My back almost feels now like I threw it out. I tend to do that everyonce in a while at work. As for the temp. though, I don't have any explantions there.

EA also woke up with a temp. again this am, so maybe we're passing a bug back and forth, who knows. DS is now vomiting too - I just can't win. It's horrible to watch a 4 month old do so! I just hope they start feeling better soon. EA was so healthy again until I had to put her back into daycare once DH and I both went back to work after having DS and the first week that she was back, she had a cold. I guess there are just germs everywhere, you can't always protect you kids.

Well, I guess I should try to go take a quick nap. I hope you're having a great evening. For all of you get an extra hour of sleep, enjoy it! Talk to you all tomorrow! cheesy

Every time you say this, you crack me up! And right now, I am downright giddy, too!!! Yesterday was a bummer of a day for me healthwise. I felt absolutely awful, so rundown and tired like nothing I have ever felt. Today, however, I feel absolutely wonderful! What a turnaround! I would advise anyone NEVER to have two surgeries within two weeks! What was I (not) thinking???

...I am in such a good mood tonight I can hardly contain myself...actually I am just downright giddy..

I know how you feel. But it is finally getting better for me. Hopefully, it will get better for you.

I am so sad.. I cant seem to find any time on the computer these days.. I miss you all.. and hope everyone is doing well.... I cant believe how fast time is going....

I know what you mean! I feel really out of touch, have been spending most of the time just reading the many, many posts in an attempt to figure out what everyone is up to!

What a bummer! I feel sorry for the boys missing going out on going out trick-or-treating. But REALLY glad you can now shower. Haha!

...We are in full recovery mode at work, work was closed for 3 days with no power. I have thrown away so much food the last 3 days, including over 3,000lbs of turkeys. Deliveries returned yesterday we have tried getting caught up for the weekend. The last week has been hell with the power outage, and the "cancelling of Halloween." The boys were so disappointed that the town cancelled trick or treating, but there was/is so many trees and wires down throughout the town that is all they could do. We took them to the Holyoke Mall for trick or treating but everyone in the area had the same idea, you couldn't move in that place. We lost some food, but we used snow to save the rest of it, considering we lost ALL of our food back in June after the tornado, we could not afford to lose everything now...I finally got a shower last night, you probably could've smelled me from wherever you are until then...it's great to be back.

I am sure, though, that the original idea came from CM3, dontcha think?

Hello my Christmas friends! Happy Friday!!! I am in the basement cleaning & getting it ready for Thanksgiving while watching the Christmas moveis on Hallmark. The basement getting a good cleaning - all the wine glasses & regular glasses - everything behind the bar & all of the curio...I cleaned out cupboards. It feels so good! So this is what I'm greatful for tonight - Christmas movies on tv & the fact that I am able to host my families Thanksgiving, which gives me good reason to CLEAN! (it's needed!) A weird experience this evening ...Mr. got a bunch of DVDs off eBay of various 1950s-'60s variety shows. We pulled one out at random this evening of "Sing Along with Mitch." It turned out to be a Christmas show. It reminded me that my dad had once mentioned a Mitch Miller show he had seen years ago in which Leslie Uggams sang a beautiful version of "Mary's Boy Child." It moved me to find the sheet music, and I sang it in a high school concert one year. I remarked that it would be wild if this were that same show he had mentioned. And it was! Good morning! I hope this finds everyone well!!! I am behind on everything again, as usual. When I talked to my cousin yesterday, she sounded so down that I suggested a day of Christmas Spirit restoration was in order so I shelved all of my work plans and we went out. We went to the Hallmark Open House and a library book sale where they were putting out their Christmas items. Not much left on the Christmas table after I was through - I got several Christmas romance books, cookbooks and craft books. My cousin, who is not quite as into Christmas as I am, found a few things, too. All in all, a good day and to top it off, she was smiling when she got home! Yay!!!! :grin:

I will catch up on the Countdown after work - I am doing a double shift today to make up for yesterday. Have a most MERRY day!!!!

Afternoon. Last night was one of the best nights of my life. Got an autograph and got my picture taken with professional wrestler Bobby Roode. He is so down to earth. Top bloke. It was a VIP event at the Hard Rock Cafe and I had a blast. My cousin had a lot of fun as well. We both won souvenir bags that included a Fuel TV hat, Bobby Roode t-shirt, Fuel TV letting and a few stickers. Got my picture taken with the Fuel TV babes. Such nice girls. I wouldn't trade that night for anything in the world.

Hi Christmas family! Hope this finds you all well! I work tonight at 11 and all I can say is major BOOOO! An extra hour of work - I hate when I can watch the clocks actually turn back. I hate that.

I didn't do too much today. The hospital is a little slow right now, so they actually put me oncall last night. It was probably a blessing in the skies because I ended up going the ER in our city. I just kept getting more short of breath and my back more painful. I had a slight temp., but all of my blood work and cat scan of chest came back normal. well after digging 4 or 5 holes about 3-4' deep, we had no luck finding the leak. we do know the approximate area though so we are gonna wait till monday when the gas company can come & locate their line. just don't feel safe doing any more digging w/out them. we are gonna roast hot dogs & marshmallows outside tonight. bought all the stuff for smores too.

Better to be safe in a situation like this !!The smores sound great !

With all this Christmas spirit around everywhere I have decided to put up my tree and decor this tuesday the 8th! this will be the earliest ever for me but that is a day I work half a shift and will be home by lunch. I even checked the weather forecast for that day is will be 78 warm degrees but I don't care. I guess I will put up decorations in shorts and t shirt! !

Way to go !!! Spoken like a true Christmas addict !!!!!!

Today keeps getting better and better! I just happened to be flipping through the dishnetwork tv guide..I downgraded last month to save money and had to give up xm radio that came with the package I had but I did it anyway...well on channel 82 they changed the kidz(not typo believe it or not)network to holiday pop! So now I can listening to christmas music at home and in my car..the radio stations around here stop playing Xmas music at midnight on the 26th which is like sending someone into shock..that is what I love about hallmark movies and xm..they still playthe music and movies until at least the 1st of jan..I have to gradually wean off after the 25th...by the 2nd of jan I have come to terms with everything and ready to let go for another year! but I don't wanna think about that now!!

Today was a WONDERFUL Day !! We went to Donzell's Christmas Open House and my sister went with us !! We were like two little kids going from display to display more and more amazed with each one we saw !!! I did post some pics in Christmas Blossoms but you have to click on them to see the full pictures !!

I still don't know about the puppy. I spoke to the lady on Friday evening and she still seems kind of like she is going to back out.........I hope she decides because this is hearbreaking for me......I just want a definite time and date and/or a definite yes or no.......
