I forgot to tell you, Christmas family, it looks like I will be adopting another furkid !!! Her name is Lola and she is supposed to be brought to me this Saturday ! I am kind of nervous - never had one this little before but I will do my very best to make sure she has all she needs and to try and be a good "mommy" so wish me luck !!. Here is Lola's picture. afternoon/evening everyone
I have spent the last hour and 15 minutes watching the worst christmas film i have ever seen in my life so far ,it is still on i have give up
it was on one of our sky channels
was called christmas without snow . and was without anything else as well have any of you seen it ?
think it was 47 minutes befour it showed a bit of tensil and a hour to show a wall garland.
dont think it said the word christmas in it so far
maybe tomorow evenings will be better cant be any worst lol

I got a VERY NICE surprise when I came home from work last night! When we pulled up in the driveway and I saw my big Christmas tree in the window with all the lights on. I looked at my husband and he said, "don't look at me, it was all your sons idea". I said, "Are you serious"????? My 21 year old son set up the Christmas Tree to surprise me and boy was I surprised!!!!!!! It was 100% his idea.

That was so nice of your son. He sounds like a wonderful young man. I bet you were sooo surprised!

Thanks! He still has some cold symptoms but seems to be feeling ok.

Got my 3rd cold since the start of Oct but I've wrapped my self up and I am sitting by the fire to keep nice and cosy, defiantly feels like winter today!

Another Monday ... I forgot to bring milk to the office for my tea. Last week I remembered the milk, but someone else used most of it (without permission)! So I bought a single-serving bottle of chocolate milk and filled it with regular milk instead---the camouflage seemed to work. I figured if someone was swiping it for their tea, coffee, or cereal, they wouldn't reach for a bottle of chocolate milk! Later on I may use a single-serving eggnog bottle ... heh heh heh. Yes, there may be folks who put eggnog in their coffee or tea, but I know they don't work here.

This is so smart, MC! I would have never thought of this!

Aww...she is sooo cute! Welcome Lola! She will be sooo loved. We've had Ella since she was about 6 weeks old. You will do great with her. No worries! All the furbabies at your home and here on MMC will love her! :smile:

Yes, my sleep schedule is off! It's going to be weird driving from work home in the dark. What do Scooby & Sasha think of the cold each year? Do they give you the look of "You expect me to go outside in this?!" Maybe it's just smaller dogs that think that. Har is ok with it, but she sometimes waits longer to want to go out. Poor things.

Glad am not on my own !! thought it was just me that it affected
those 2 hounds of mine wood sit on top of the fire if you let them. the minute they see the fire being lit they are over befour you even get a chance to get it started.
They are not to bad with going out in the cold bit the rain is a different thing. they stand at the door like you say and then its a quick in and out. and right back to the front of the fire
Think dogs do feel the cold a lot. wee harlowe still doing good i take it. good

Well, I guess I should have given an update on what the beautiful wifey and I did last night....

WE HAD A DATE!

We went to eat, went to hobby lobby and bought some stuff, and (my first time in a year) went to the mall to look at Christmas stuff. We had so much fun. We talked about all our plans for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and spent quite some time discussing Black Friday (I prefer Cyber Monday). It was a great time. it was so much fun we are doing it again next weekend.

Sounds like the perfect date! Glad you guys had a great time!

hey ya'll! boy have we been busy today, cleaned the house & hubby went ahead & shampooed the carpets in the house because he knows how bad i wanted to get my christmas decor out & i couldn't till he did that.
What a sweet hubby!!
i can't believe this but my tree is prelit & last year 1 strand @ the top was burnt out so we added some, now this year there's 2 SECTIONS out.uugh!!
i can't really buy a new one now so i guess i'll have to add more in those areas. the only thing is with the style & shape of our tree i'm worried we'll be able to see all the extra wire. ya' know the prelit ones are attached (i love that) & well....just kind'a frustrated!!

Oh, I hate that, merrymistletoe! It is very frustrating!! Did you get it all taken care of? Bet it looks beautiful!

Good evening, Christmas family! Hope all is well with everyone! Everything is great here! Kids and I are feeling much better! EA still has a cough, but she is starting to feel better and DS - you can tell he feels better too. My DH bought some icy hot patches for my back to wear to work and they truly worked. I feel almost 100%. I must have thrown my back out again.

Hey everyone...I am trying not to be a downer here or anything,but I need prayers!!! I am confused and trying to get info on my parents in Portland because the state troopers just called me and said they were in a car accident and were xported to a hospital but the hospital will not give me answers...anyhow everything is chaotic now..I have to try to find them and get some info,..just kindly remember them in your prayers!!

When I came in the house I told my son how much I appreciated it. With his silly sense of humor he said, "I didn't do it! Someone broke in the house and set it up"!

My son has acted indifferent about Christmas for several years now. Doesn't hate it but just indifferent. So this came as a big shock to me and brought tears to my eyes when he did this nice gesture. The night before he did this he sat down and watched The Grinch Who Stole Christmas with me.

We do have to decorate it which he knew the grandkids always help with that. He got the main part done for me.

I will never EVER forget this!

Palmer is busy untying my slippers - she is quite a handful! Although Mouse is still not won over, Palmer has brought much needed joy into the house. I hope to get my tree up soon - I am behind on the decorating because of trying to figure out how to Palmer-proof things. I think what I am going to have to do is move the computer monitor next to the microwave and put the tree in the monitor's place - that way I can have lights. It should work out space-wise, but more importantly, I don't think P can get up there cheesy

Hi Christmas family! Hope this finds you all well. I am having a good day. I've been up for a few hours. We're getting ready to eat dinner now. DH is making buffalo chicken sandwiches and french fries. We have some apple pie still from a few days ago to eat for dessert, so I guess we should finish that off tonight!

Work wasn't too busy last night. I work tonight yet, then I am off tomorrow. I work two days, then I am off the weekend. It won't be a bad week! It makes it kind of nice. Hallmark will be calling my name this weekend!

I will be checking back in this evening at some point. Hope everyone is having a great day/evening. Talk to you all here a little bit later.

Oh and I forgot to add...I was asking about the Nook Color last night on here...well - I saw on the news this evening, Barnes and Noble announced the Nook Tablet today. Very exciting! That's what DH said he will be getting me for Christmas. Not much of a surprise, but sometimes you have to tell people what you want or you won't get it - haha. It looks awesome! I can't wait! :-D

It's a very cool 53 degrees here, with high wind warnings for the rest of the night. I love the temps, just not the extreme wind. Brrr!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend. I loved all of the Christmas movies on tv! I didn't want to leave the house!

I saw Farewell Mr. Kringle for the first time- what a cute & touching movie.

Work is so busy right now. Which is great, the construction industry has been struggling like many other out there, it's just getting hard to stay afloat! I haven't been on here as much as I'd like. Know that I'm thinking of you all, though.

Little bit cold here today so the fire is delightful! =)

I have so much to do this days. Shopping Christmas presents almost every day now.
I want to be finished before 1st December.

My boys turn 8 this Friday so I have to plan for their Birthday. And I love it.

really frosty here in the north of england today, it's perfect christmas weather!

has a lovely day yesterday, went to a traditional country pub with my fiance and our daughter, they had put their christmas lights up and they were twinkling away and looked so beautiful. the food was fantastic, we had home made steak and ale pie with mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and gravy followed by hot chocolate fudge and caramel cake with double pouring cream. we were stuffed! it was proper bristish comfort food, perfect for this type of weather.
