i hope to get lots done today, but i'm so excited to be off & get to read CAH's post earlier than i have been able to w/ work.
my daughter has decided she's going out for the track team.i found out yesterday she needs a physical exam BEFORE MONDAY!! nothing like the last minute.i'll be calling the doc asap this morning needless to say. she's not ran track before but i do hope she enjoys it.
CM3- can you believe it? only 1 more day till you get your new furbaby!! if the people you're getting her from only knew how great a mom your gonna be!
it's very cool here this a.m. tv said it should be in the low 30's & it feels like it. i'll take whatever the good Lord gives me but i do love cooler weather for the holidays.
hubby & i aren't sure what if anything we are gonna do for our date. the thought is nice but the $ we would spend on dinner, movie, or other is $ taking away from Christmas. kind'a disappointed but it was my decision. sometimes i hate being so practical!! ya' know? maybe we will think of something that doesn't cost. i don't know....

Hi you were all set for this date so go. even if its only a drive or a walk in a park or forest.if its still clear with a choc bar and a drink that wood not cost the earth.. or what about something that you and hubby done befour you got married? am sure the money might have been limited then..
just sometime together. just you and him.. somtimes we put that much on front of people we love i do it myself. you never mean to but it happens

Days to the Season: 2 (DAY AFTER TOMORROW. Lord, have mercy!)
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 13 (Now UNDER 2 WEEKS!)
Days to Christmas Day: 44 (UNDER A MONTH AND A HALF away!!)
(Things are moving so fast now it's not even funny!)

Downright cold for my dog walk this morning at 39 degrees with a slight wind.
It will be chilly all day, but then a warming trend starts and we will be back in the 70's by early next week.

For me, I switch exclusively to Christmas music and Christmas movies from that day on through the 25th.

Man I hate exams, but oh i love the day after exams today i will be baking for the very first time in my new home, a beautiful birthday cake for my boyfriend

So in the US the christmas season starts with veterans day? I am trying to get a feel for your christmas traditions.

I am not sure when all the areas outside NYC have there official start but here in NYC it is with Santa's arrival at the end of the MACY'S Thanksgiving Day Parade. It is like he ushers in the Season. But for me... I must admit it is the day after Thanksgiving as I go all out with decor for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.

I hope she does, it is a get sport. You compete with others and within yourself, it is a great self confidence booster!!! I hope she enjoys it!

Good morning, everyone.

I cannot have my normal long post this morning. It is your lucky day. Happy Remembrance Day in Canada and Happy Veterans Day to those in the U.S... I am about to take a shower and then head down to Parliament Hill (about a five minute walk) to watch the Remembrance Day celebration and pay tribute to those that have fearlessly devoted their lives to any country throughout the world.

My grandfather fought in World War II, and I have missed the previous ceremonies. Therefore, I feel that I should get out there this year since I am off.

Hey Guys! First of all I don't know how I can express enough how much you all mean to me...I could feel your prayers and It did give me peace these last few days. I care about each and every one of you and I am thankful I have found a place where empathy and christmas spririr lives year around! I am still In Portland,Or at my folks home.. My dad had a stroke as CAH has shared with you and my mom came home from the Hospital today she had broken collar bone and broken ribs and is sore but will mend...now my dad is in for the long haul. we really don't know the extent of his stroke except for it was a major one and he has not really woke up yet,although the Dr said starting tomorrow he will give him drugs to wake him up..I will keep you posted because that is really all I know now,but thanks to each and everyone of you for having me and my family in your thoughts...it means the world to me ..talk to ya'll later!

Happy Veterans day and TGIF! Thank you to all the veterans and their families for the sacrifices they have made for all of us!

I'm looking forward to this weekend so much, exhausted and mentally drained from a busy couple weeks, can't wait to chill out this weekend at home!

I got the first eggnog of the season yesterday!

So much Christmas spirit in the air now! I had to upgrade The Christmas Station's listener capacity yesterday, doubled it and the station is still reaching max capacity, will be upgrading it again first of next week, I usually don't have to upgrade it this much until December, this year more people are listening to it earlier than ever, very excited by this.

Hope everyone is doing good and filled with the Christmas spirit!

Good morning, Christmas family

Just a brief post today. I am really, really sad. Monica, the lady who has Lola, called a few moments ago and called it all off so I am not going to be able to adopt her. She said her husband's asthma had not bothered him for a few days and they decided to keep her.

I want the puppy to be where she will be loved and cared for and I would have done that. She said something about maybe she could call in a month if it doesn't work but I kind of shyed away from that. It will be nearly Christmas by then and I don't want to be heartbroken on Christmas.

Thank you for all your well wishes about Lola. I guess I should not have said anything about her until I actually had her. I was sure I would be adopting her........

Good morning! talk about exhausted! I am...I put all my mom's Christmas stuff up so it would cheer her up..meanwhile this afternoon I am going back to the hospital to see how my dad is. MY sister is coming tomorrow from Texas and I will head back home to Georgia because I have to get back to work. I have used all my time up for now. Thanksgiving plans have changed for me I will fly back out west I think brandi will go with me instead of her folks in Boston...but either way the Dr preferred her not to travel this close to the due date...I have so much to catch up on here!! Miss one day around here and you are lost!!! have a good friday everyone!
