Good morning, everyone.

I cannot have my normal long post this morning. It is your lucky day. Happy Remembrance Day in Canada and Happy Veterans Day to those in the U.S... I am about to take a shower and then head down to Parliament Hill (about a five minute walk) to watch the Remembrance Day celebration and pay tribute to those that have fearlessly devoted their lives to any country throughout the world.

My grandfather fought in World War II, and I have missed the previous ceremonies. Therefore, I feel that I should get out there this year since I am off.

Have a wonderful day.

I would love to attend the service in Ottawa some day. I tried to post about Remembrance day this morning, but every time I tired I got shut out. Not sure what was going on.
I had a grandfather that disappeared in the war, no one ever found out what happened to him. (my dad's father)

Good morning! talk about exhausted! I am...I put all my mom's Christmas stuff up so it would cheer her up..meanwhile this afternoon I am going back to the hospital to see how my dad is. MY sister is coming tomorrow from Texas and I will head back home to Georgia because I have to get back to work. I have used all my time up for now. Thanksgiving plans have changed for me I will fly back out west I think brandi will go with me instead of her folks in Boston...but either way the Dr preferred her not to travel this close to the due date...I have so much to catch up on here!! Miss one day around here and you are lost!!! have a good friday everyone!
PS Hug a vet today!
continuing to pray for all of you!

I wrote this poem before the first season post was made. Those before me wrote so eloquently and I was following up with a lighthearted, silly poem. I felt a little nervous about that.

It's okay now, I then decided to stick with what I originally wrote and post it. cheesy
write from your heart and it will be great, and yours was great!

I have landed a casual (90-day work contract) at Health Canada.

My grandmother had a small stroke yesterday

Congrats on the new job! That is great news. So sorry to hear about grandmother. I will pray for her, you, and your entire family.

Tomorrow I have to go help finish some last minute preparations for my nieces birthday on Saturday

Happy Birthday to your niece!

Was going to start writing some cards and wrapping a few presents today but I've had to have a sick day from work so not left my bed yet :(

Hope you feel soon!

Good afternoon, Christmas family

Getting ready to work on this my Friday. I am hoping to hear of the time soon when Lola will arrive Saturday. I thought Monica would call today but she is a busy mom of two who also works full time

She will call, CM3. Don't worry. Lola will be here before you know it!

Hey Guys! First of all I don't know how I can express enough how much you all mean to me...I could feel your prayers and It did give me peace these last few days. I care about each and every one of you and I am thankful I have found a place where empathy and christmas spririr lives year around! I am still In Portland,Or at my folks home.. My dad had a stroke as CAH has shared with you and my mom came home from the Hospital today she had broken collar bone and broken ribs and is sore but will mend...now my dad is in for the long haul. we really don't know the extent of his stroke except for it was a major one and he has not really woke up yet, although the Dr said starting tomorrow he will give him drugs to wake him up..I will keep you posted because that is really all I know now,but thanks to each and everyone of you for having me and my family in your thoughts...it means the world to me ..talk to ya'll later!

Neal, so good to hear from you. Thanks so much for the update on your parents. Glad to your mom is home and recovering. I will continue to pray for your dad. Prayers to you, Brandi, and especially your parents. Take care of yourself as well!

Im so excited for this weekend (painting the Boys room's) to get ready for Santa who will be bringing them their new Cars beds , just ordered the Boys their new cars bikes today also.

It sounds like your boys love Cars just like my daughter loves Dora. Everything has to be Dora!

Morning. Yesterday wasn't a memorable day for me. I had a breakdown, but my good friend helped me get through it. I'm feeling a lot better now.

Sorry to hear that you had a bad day, but I am glad you're feeling better now! It sounds like you have a great friend.

The rash she got after her last infusion is starting to clear up. The Remicade seems to be helping her. She is rating her pain at a 4 and a half which is extremely low for her. My sister still wants to get a second opinion though. So they are driving down to Portland on December 16th to see a doctor there.

Glad to hear her pain is doing well right now. She is such a little fighter. God Bless her. Glad to hear the meds are working as well. Please keep us updated on how she does with her next appointment!

I believe this is my first post in this thread. I have no idea what to say in the countdown. So...uh...hi! :?

Hello and welcome to the countdown! Jump right in and post often!

so we've gotta date tomorrow night. i can't wait

Have a wonderful time! You deserve it!

I think I pulled a muscle in my back lifting those heavy things.

Hope you feel better, Xmas!

Sugar -So glad DH is feeling better.Praying that he did well on his test. (((HUGS))) and love to you and your family including Miss Ella xo

Thanks, CM3. I will keep you updated when we find out how he did. I am not sure how long it will take to get his results. This has always been one of his goals. His dad is an instructor as well, so I hope he passed!

Man I hate exams, but oh i love the day after exams today i will be baking for the very first time in my new home, a beautiful birthday cake for my boyfriend

I always hated the day of an exam more than anything, but the minute I could walk out of it and know it was over, was so much better. I bet you are feeling the same way. ENJOY yourself.

It is Remembrance Day here in Canada.
A day to thank those who gave us the privilege of living in the freedom we enjoy today.
Also to think about and pray for all those who are still on the battle front protecting innocent lives.

Great post CAH!

Good morning, Christmas family

Just a brief post today. I am really, really sad. Monica, the lady who has Lola, called a few moments ago and called it all off so I am not going to be able to adopt her. She said her husband's asthma had not bothered him for a few days and they decided to keep her.

I want the puppy to be where she will be loved and cared for and I would have done that. She said something about maybe she could call in a month if it doesn't work but I kind of shyed away from that. It will be nearly Christmas by then and I don't want to be heartbroken on Christmas.

Thank you for all your well wishes about Lola. I guess I should not have said anything about her until I actually had her. I was sure I would be adopting her........

Have a good, Christmassy day, Christmas family xo

I am so sorry for the change of heart from the other people.

Does anyone want to come help my sister clean her house? I'm tired and want to go home. I like how my brother in law always works late on the day before events so he doesn't have to help.

Good evening,

Quickly reading today's posts, JP has Cub Scouts tonight so just relaxing before then, I have a heating pad on my back to loosen my back up a bit. Extremely busy day at work, I am sure tomorrow will hold the same.

Be back later on.
My grandson joined Cub Scouts and LOVES it! I hope JP is enjoying it too!

I hope your back gets better soon!

I don't want to clean my own house but I have a deal, I will help you clean her house if you come over here and help me clean my house! I will put on some Christmas music and have some hot chocolate ready!

All of MMC can all come and have a cleaning party here! We should be done in about a month. JUST KIDDING! My house is not that bad! =)

CM3: I was so saddened to read this. Know that I am feeling for you tonight and all of your other furbabies. As I think Lauriebear (?) has said, hug them a little tighter tonight and as MC and Lauirebear said too, may Lola find the home that she is supposed to end up in!

That was such a wonderful gesture that you did for your mother, Neal. I'm sure it will help with her spirits. ((((gabulldawg)))) Thanks for your service! Happy Vertans Day to you!

Hello Christmas family! Hope you're all having an enjoyable evening! We've ordered a pizza and DH just went to pick it up. We're going to stay in for the evening, get the kids bathed and to bed, and then watch a movie (hopefully a Christmas one), and wrap presents!

Nothing new here to report. We were so busy at work last night. I was working the Maternity unit. We had so many women come in with labor. I think a lot of women, even if they're not in labor, are going to come in anyway, with the symptoms because they want their baby on 11/11/11. We don't have the room for them though - we're full!

Well, I will check back in later. DH just go home. I'm going to go eat dinner. Hope you all have a great evening!

Happy Veterans Day. Neal - thanks for your service! Continuing to pray for you and your family!
