******* CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 2 *******

Good Morning, Folks!

And yet another week begins.
First week of Christmas Season 2011!

(Already I've listened to my Glenn Miller Christmas album and watched "Holiday Inn".
....And I'm feeling right Christmassy!)

But on we count:
Days To Thanksgiving Day: 10 (Single digits tomorrow!!)
Days to Christmas Day: 41 (Now UNDER 6 weeks!)

Not so cold this morning where we already stand at 62 degrees here at this hour, headed hopefully for the low 70's.
No rain in the immediate sight.

May you all have a Marvelous first Monday of the Season, Friends!
(Thanks for the Monday rose, C-A-H!)

Good Morning, Christmas friends!

Hope you all had a lovely weekend!

I wish I could've been around more to ring in the beginning of the season!

We had some friends over Saturday afternoon, then computer troubles hit later in the evening. Luckily, my brother-in-law can remote in & solve our issues sometimes! I think we're good, now. Fingers crossed.

My weekend consisted of decorating and starting Christmas cards

I also have been feeling off, so I snuck in a nap or two.

We watched the Christmas Lodge, beautiful movie. A little sappy for my hubby's taste, but I enjoyed it w/ my box of kleenex!

I still have a lot to catch up on the countdown...so forgive me if I've missed anything.

Hope all is going well in your corners of the world~

Maureen, Kimothy, and Seawaters: Get well soon!!

Dawg: thinking of you and your family! Sending prayers!

CM3:Sending hugs to you. I know how dissappointed you are about Lola. I truly believe that everything happens for a reason, so I bet that a little angel will come along soon that needs you love even more. Hang in there. xo

merrymistletoe: I miss talking to you, too! Hope you had a fabulous weekend with your family~ Did you get your tree up? xo

Shellie: Sending hugs to you, Scooby, and Sasha!

LB & Sugar: Sending hugs to you both, as well as Snickers & Ella!

Thinking of you all, really, and so grateful to be here with such wonderful people!! Have a beautiful, Christmassy day!!

I am not sure if I have heard Glenn Miller Christmas. I love his music, I know this one would be great! I got to look it up!

Actually I am having a good monday!!! everyone here at work is so great.I work with a great group of folks and we are kinda like a family. It makes work so much smoother when you actually care about the people you work with! So it is Christmas season day 2! it feels like spring time...I am getting my seasons confused I think we are going to be in the 80's through weds. sunny today but getting cloudy the next few days. We need rain, but what else is new we have been in a drought for 2 years. I hope everyone that is sick feels better soon,I bet alot of this going around is seasonal allergies...even my dogs are sneezing !! have a great monday everyone!

Good morning! Can you believe...next week is THANKSGIVING WEEK!?!!!

Here is my excitement for the day - I was happy to see last night on tvguide.com that Miracle on 34th Street is going to be on tv at 2:00 on Thanksgiving Day once again!! I was hoping they wouldn't let me down this year. That means the girls in my family can come over (guys too if they want, but they will be watching footbal, I have no doubt) to watch the movie & I will have commercial breaks to get things done for the party if needed! YES!!! (it's the little things...ha ha)

Im off to read posts - I'm pretty sure I have LOTS to catch up on from the weekend!!

This is so true! I don't mean to be morbid today - but I did not want to come to work today. Was totally dreading it. THEN I drove past our neighbors house, where they were just backing out of the driveway - heading to the hospital where they will be disconnecting their son from life support this morning - after he suffered several strokes. Then I thought - going to work is not bad at all!!! Sometimes you need a wake up call! Count your blessings!

Our first Christmas Season Monday! Keep that Christmas music playing!

Feeling nauseous + scratchy throat + tightness in chest = I am soo staying home today. :x

As soon as I finish my coffee and yogurt (that's the only thing that appealed to me) I am going back to bed!

I hope you can beat the bug soon, Kimothy.

Dominos did away with the "30 minutes or less guarantee" when a driver was involved in a fatal car accident. There was also several other accidents that involved lawsuits against the company.

I remember those days when they had that policy. We actually got a few free pizzas from them even though Dominos was right around the corner from us, they would be late at times. In fact that same Dominos is still there.

This morning, this discussion reminded me of the Little Nero's pizza delivery boy in "Home Alone"---I think he was the first to knock over the "jockey" in front of the house, wasn't he? Come to think of it, no---the airport van was the first. After that, every vehicle in the first two movies knocks over the "jockey" when it pulls up to the front of the house. (Except I think in the second movie the first airport van misses it, then the second one creams it!)

Not at all morbid---just a wake-up call to be mindful of our blessings. Thanks for sharing that thought!

How 'bout them Geogia Bulldogs, Dawg!

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

Wow, I missed about 500 posts over the weekend! I've been reading for the last 2 hours! I'm sorry I missed the festivities Saturday night. I worked all day at the store, then we had my neice's two little boys all night. They are 3 years old and 9 months. Dude, I had forgotten how much work that is! We didn't sleep all night!

The Christmas Season has begun! I LOVE IT!!!:celebrate:

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I am so excited about Thanksgiving!!!!!! The movie Miracle on 34th Street has been one of my favorites to watch before Thanksgiving since it kicks off with the Thanksgiving Day Parade! The original version is my favorite. =)

Aww.. So sorry to hear of this news. =(

I guess we should all be thankful no matter how busy our life gets!

It took a couple of times of watching that movie before I figured out that poor little jockey keeps getting knocked over! The pizza guy scene certainly was making fun of the Dominos guarantee! =)

That word, dude, just cracks me up! I keep thinking of the time my son had his 2 cousins stay the weekend and Wayne and I were counting the number of times they said that word! It was in every sentence. Now I just laugh when I hear it. Thanks for the chuckle! =)

How 'bout them Geogia Bulldogs, Dawg!

Oh man! don't remind me...I always without fail go to the Ga/Ga tech game the day after thanksgiving. but this year since Dad had the stroke I will be in Portland...if anyone wants the tickets let me know!!! I never asked you Brad if your a dawg fan!!! WHen I went to GSU we always played the Dawgs first game of the season..of course they won..but I always was a Georgia Dawg fan...and them beating those pesky Gators was just the icing on the cake for me this year!!

80 degree temps are just not normal! That is what we are having but it will get cooler later this week! =)

I need to get off the computer for a little while but will check back in later.

Have a magical day everyone! :transform:

I have to try to just go with the flow and take what I get when it comes to the weather!lol

I have something else to be very excited for today...MY MMC COOKBOOK SHIPPED!
