Christmas Countdown - 2011

They finally got it under control and sent them home.

She never told me the diagnosis and they are all asleep right now so I will find out when they wake up. I can't help but worry until I hear from them.

Good morning, Christmas family

I have been so busy this weekend ! Just trying to get the outside decorations up and also the rest of the indoor ones. We ran around all day yesterday (Friday) and the traffic was not bad at all. Of course we did not go near any malls. I got most of my Christmas cards mailed yesterday and had lunch at Friendly's. I HIGHLY recommend their Gingerbread sundae !! Yummmm !

We had to buy a new outside angel as our old one is acting peculiar. I think there is a short in the cord itself. I swear outside decorations do not last more than a season or two and they certainly are not cheap in price !!

I hope all are well and that your Thanksgiving was wonderful !!

Thanks for the prayers. I just talked to my daughter and the kids seem to be a lot better. Thank God!!! My daughter was very sleepy so I didn't get a lot of details, they were up all night. She said my granddaughter was very dehydrated even though she had lots of fluids throughout the day. The doctor said it was from the fever. She hasn't been sick that long, it sure don't take long to dehydrate! They ran iv fluids in her. I told them to get some sleep and that my oldest grandson can spend the day with us. I feel a little better myself hearing the update on the grandkids.

Maybe they caught the turkey flu from all that gobbling!

Speaking of gobbling. I have played that clip several times and laugh so hard! You are all great and I just cannot decide who to pick! I will get a vote in soon.

Good morning, Christmas family. It is brisk here in northern California, my kind of day! I plan to work on scrapbooking stuff, then go to Mass this evening. Hope y'all have a great day!

Kim and I have a busy day ahead of us. Nothing was officially planned, but it appears that we are to depart soon for a Christmas Crafts Fair! We may have to make a few purchases. Then we should be off to a couple of our local malls to take in the Christmas shopping, sights and sounds!

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. We're still very above seasonal here. No coat for me!
 
I am on the way back to the airport in 30 minutes...Major :( :( :( I hate saying goodbye to my family. Especially since I am not sure about where I will be Christmas. I am just going back to work for a week and a half then I will be off the rest of December,so I know I will be back here hopefully at some point. I had a great thanksgiving,and I hope everyone had a good one as well,fingers crossed I get back without problems!!!
PS...who else has seen the Taget commercial with the wierd blonde chick!!! I now hate TARGET!!!!! That lady is so annoying!!! just saw it right now that's is why I brought it up.lol

Good afternoon,

I fell asleep pretty early last night, my boys woke us up before 5am this morning, I am feeling it now, I am soooooo tired. Well, the turkey is in the oven, I got the last bit of decorating done, the 7.5 foot tree, and the 3 foot tree, are done, all decorations are up, just a few touch up items still left to do, but they will be done Tuesday. I am so far behind on my Christmas shopping, I like to be done by now but I will make some time to do it in the net few days.

If you want a nice Christmas movie to watch, turn on the Lifetime channel in 40 minutes(4:00PM EST). It's a feel good movie. It was Barbara Billingsly'(Beaver's mom) last movie.
 
I appreciate the prayers everyone! My granddaughter and grandson are feeling better and fevers have come down. Lets hope they stay down!

My oldest grandson, who stayed with me last night, just went home. We had a nice visit today and watched some Christmas movies.

I am going to get back to watching some more Christmas on tv!

Good evening everyone! I am suffering major jet lag,it's always tough on the way back from the left coast. Anyhow I made it alot easier on the way back in fact I just had to walk across the concourse hall in Atlanta to change planes. brandi won't be back until monday so I have the house to myself and it's wierd being here by myself,kind of down after being around loved ones all week now it's back to work..etc etc. I loved listening to the Gobble gobble contest....it's great putting a voice to the name,actually you all sounded pretty much like I expected! Hope everyone has a great night,I am snuggled up on the couch and going to watch Hallmark the rest of the night!
 
Hi everyone!

I last visited on October 23rd, so I hope everyone had a happy Halloween, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Black Friday, etc.!

I've been really busy and seem to have forgotten that the internet existed. We had an amazing Thanksgiving and I'm finding different ways to eat the leftovers. cheesy I didn't go Black Friday shopping, but I did buy myself a new phone earlier this week. I guess I may just make my phone an early Christmas present for myself. :lol:

On the Christmas side of things, we won't be putting up our Christmas tree until next weekend or later. The radio stations near here have been playing Christmas music for a few weeks, so I always have the radio on. Thankfully I only have to get through four work weeks and then Christmas vacation! cheesy

I hope everyone has a good rest of the weekend!
