Hey everybody!!

We are looking forward to our first snow of the season late tonight and early tomorrow morning. Here. In Alabama. Before November is even over!! There won't be any real accumulation (maybe an inch that will melt before the day is out) but it's real snow really early! I am so excited I just hope we have a white Christmas as well. Have a great evening everyone!!:celebrate:

Would y'all believe it's snowing here? Not just barely, either.
I am putting my order in now for some snow! Just mail it my way! =)
Goodnight! Just getting back from picking up Brandi after work at the airport..she made it home from Boston okay and in one piece. It was a very rough day at work, but I am about to slip under them covers and saw some logs!!! I hope everyone has a wonderful evening! talk to y'all tomorrow!
Glad she got back safely!

Good afternoon!

I hope this finds everyone well!

Today is my three year anniversary on here cheesy

Have a MERRY evening!!!!!!!!

Congrats!

Hello everyone! It has been a while!

Yes, I survived the craziness that was Black Friday at Kohl's and Hallmark! Still recovering from the serious lack of sleep, but it gets less by the day!

DF and I ended up having a Thanksgiving after all...his sister and her husband had actually reserved us seats at the Viking Club dinner, so we were able to enjoy it. It was one of the biggest feasts I've ever eaten at - they had turkey, ham, roast beef, crab cakes, and all the sides you could possibly imagine! It was delicious! I was able to get to sleep around 4pm, but Sangria decided she wanted to play trampoline with my face around 8, so I only had 4 hours of sleep before heading into 15 straight hours of Black Friday work - ugh!!

Kohl's had a line 15 minutes long (that's how long it took for everyone to get into the store walking in a single file line going at a pretty good speed, holy cow)!!! My manager actually did not have me doing credit greeting (THANK GOD!!!) - I got to be a line monitor which was awesome because I basically got to stand there and talk to people, which I love doing! =D Most of the people were very friendly and talked back, but I did get a few people who were angry at me because we ran out of limited quantity items before they had a chance to get them, or mad because we didn't have more registers or carts (because yeah, I *totally* control that, grrr). Worst part of the day was having to break up a fight between customers, which at the time was awful but now I can just laugh at because I can't believe people are SO RIDICULOUS to let stuff like that happen. These people were at least twice my age, and I felt like a kindergarten teacher having to stand there and separate them. I kinda let my temper get the best of me though when they wouldn't stop screaming at each other and as I was walking away, I turned to another associate who had helped me diffuse the situation and said (what I thought was under my breath), "JFC (yes that's an abbreviation...) I didn't know they let five years olds shop without their parents..." and the one guy heard me and called me a [b-word]. I was just livid with the whole situation. Maybe that's not very polite or of good customer service, but the fact that I had to break up a fight between perfectly able-bodied-and-minded people when I wasn't even an hour into my Black Friday shift...maybe it was too much. The rest of the shift went without incident though.

Hallmark was sooo tiring though. I had started to hit a wall and really had to push through it, but luckily it was semi-not busy so I was able to relax. Once I got home though, it was so hard to not just fall asleep right away, so DF and I watched Zookeeper with Kevin James, which was okay I guess...I wasn't really into it but DF seemed to like it!

Saturday was another early Kohl's shift but I was out by 8. Then my FSIL, another bridesmaid and her husband (one of DF's groomsmen) and I went last minute dress shopping. I know I'd said that I already found my dress, but my mom had been convinced that that wasn't my dress, so I decided to just go to one more salon and see if maybe there were something else. Well, long story short, I found another one and I pretty much fell in love with it. I was very confused and didn't know what to do, and the manager there all of a sudden started pushing the pressure on to buy it right that minute, so my one bridesmaid pretty much told her to back off, and we left. We all went to eat lunch and I couldn't stop talking or thinking about it, or looking at the pictures they had all taken. I wasn't ready to say yes yet, but I made an appointment for the next day and called my parents to see if they would come out with me. (The consultant had taken me aside away from the manager and said she'd give me the sale price the next day, even though the sale was SUPPOSED to end Saturday. She was FABULOUS.) Well, my parents, the same bridesmaid and groomsman and I went back yesterday...

And I said yes to the dress!!!! (LOL - I even made my consultant ask me if I was saying yes to that dress!!)

I am still in complete shock that I decided on a dress and that it's MINE...it's so surreal! If anyone's interested in what it looks like, the link is here: http://www.alfredangelo.com/collect...tegoryId=a495dcb2-c9a9-4654-b490-3ddfef4377f9 Once I get a platinum membership again, I will upload some pics of myself in the dress, as I think it looks completely different on me than it does the model. I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

That's about all the excitement going on here - I hope everyone's having a great week and is having a great time putting up decorations! Hopefully DF and I will be putting ours up (finally!) this week. :D

here it is the end of the day and I am finally getting a chance to check in here. I still have to catch up on all the posts, but right now, I am to tired! (and there are soooooo many posts!)

Hope you all had a great day!
:merry:

The life of a proofreader: being given two hours to do a three-and-a-half-hour job ... It came in at 5:15 p.m., due tomorrow at 11 a.m. The only way I was going to have enough time to do it right was to stay and do it tonight, so I got out of the office about 8:45 p.m. Came home, fixed a couple eggs and a few strips of bacon, watched some video with Mr., and now to bed.

Good night, everyone ...

Good afternoon,

I came home from work sick today, I woke up with a fever, and decided to see how long I could make it at work. Just feeling lousy good thing I have tomorrow off. Sitting here enjoying my tree while perusing MMC.
I am going to take it easy for the rest of the day.

Enjoy your day.

Oh Xmas......I hope you feel better soon ! xo

Ever have one of those mornings where two minutes feels like two days? That's me and on top of it, this cold weather is making me want to go back to sleep.

I finished 8 cards yesterday so I'll mail them out this morning and (hopefully) work on some more today. :hello:

******** CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY 17 ********

A Terrific Tuesday Good Morning to each and every one of you!

And onward we roll, inexorably toward the inevitable:
Days to Christmas Day: 26
tick.....tick.....tick.....
Really starting to get close, now.

Cooler here this morning (49) with rain and little chance of a warm-up during the day.
Downright cold temps are expected for tonight.

Seriously now, Friends.
How can you help but have a Terrific Tuesday when we are so close to Christmas?
Unless, perhaps, you are way behind in your Christmas shopoping.
Yours truly only has one more gift left to get. (Cue smug smile)

--- Hey. I think I'm spending to much time around that camel! ---

Good morning, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone well!

It is pouring out and we under a flood watch, now, too. Good day to stay in, read a mystery - they are always so much better when it is a dark and stormy day/night out! - have a pot of soup simmering on the stove and bread dough rising. I sure hope somebody gets to do that because I have to work cheesy

Have a most EXCELLENT and MERRY day, my friends!!!!!!!!!

vsuclaribnl, That is very sad and ridiculous that shoppers act like that. We go out on black Friday for the entertainment only. We usually get out of the house after 8 am and go to the mall. It is actually very pleasant and not too crowded by that time. I refuse to do the whole "stand in a line thing all night" for doors to open. I love saving money but not if I have to deal with childish people. Sorry you have to deal with rude customers.

The dress you showed is beautiful!

Well crap....Somebody has an appendicitis. Gonna be out for a day or so..they won't let me have coffee and I am not real happy about it.

See u guys later. See ya at the pines.

Oh no! I hope all goes well for you. We will have a nice comfy bed ready for you at the Pines to recover in. Carl will wait on you and take care of you! By then you can have some crazy coffee to feel better.

Get well soon my friend!

Ouch. All the best, Coach. Better now than next month at this time!

Good morning, everyone!

Hard to believe that we are at Christmas Season Day 17 already. Time flies while you are enjoying the Christmas Season! Yesterday was a nice and relaxing evening. The gym took a lot out of me, so much that I spent plenty of hours laying down and watching TV... Not a regular occurence for me!

Rain, not snow, fills our forecast as we near the end of November. I am sure that we will get over this hump soon enough. The Christmas lights just are not the same without reflecting off the beautiful white snow at night.

Well, it's Tuesday. Only one more day until we all gather for our weekly celebration at the 'Pines. I'm excited to see the Christmas decorations. Carl did a fine job with the Thanksgiving decor, but now it is time to celebrate with Christmas lights and music!

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

That doesn't sound like much fun. I hope you feel better soon friend!!!!!!!!!!

Crazzzy double post!

Good Morning from a wet and soggy central Indiana!!!!! The rain is continuing to come down but it is supposed to switch to snow later this afternoon. It looks like we will get 1-2 inches overnight tonight. I have some laundry to do today but my main goal is to get caught up on here. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!
