Christmas Countdown - 2011

The Kings have been playing absolutely terrible since mid-November. It's no wonder why they fired Terry Murray. The strange part for this is that I was cheering for the Kings last night (I can never really say that I cheer against the Bruins), but I will be cheering for the Bruins tonight in Ottawa. I will be at the game with my roommate! I haven't seen the Bruins play since last October. Luckily, the Bruins are the only other team logo that I can spot - as I do watch about 30+ Bruins games per year and my dad has always been a diehard Bruins fan. Anyway, I am excited for the game! Hope you get to see it too, 365!

The Kings played well last night, they took over 40 shots but most were from the perimeter, Rask made some great saves, and the Kings looked a little snakebit at times missing a few open nets. I hope you enjoy the game tonight, its a shame you are probably going to miss out on seeing Milan Michalek, it looks like he may be out with a concussion (upper body injury as is listed now) caused by his own teammate.

I'm running out of time to watch my Christmas movies!

I absolutely can't stand the version of A Christmas Carol with Patrick Stewart, but it is my wife's favorite, so she watches that one with out me.

I'm feeling that pinch, too. I scheduled three days off in December for movies and relaxation, and they all got taken over by other activities. The clock is ticking, and there are too many movies unseen! (And I don't care for Patrick Stewart's "Christmas Carol" either, so you're not alone.)

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is frosty again today here in northern California. I have to make a trip to school to pick up some attendance sheets and turn in some Independent Study paperwork. Hubby and I are going to Chico to take his mom her birthday card. I bought Hubby's B-Day card yesterday to give to him on Friday. I hope to be at the Pines later today. Hello MMC!!! Ever so busy, baking, play rehearsals, work, parties!!! It is going far too fast for me and I cannot get in enough MMC time... Sadly I missed the Worlds BIGGEST Christmas Party, making too much Merry over here. Well all I can say is that I was way bummed about that. All is going well, just miss checking in here. Goodness where did the time go. I have not even attempted to yet read all I missed but I will, Oh Made I Have your Card you sent me in 2009 during the card exchange my very 1st MMC card!!! OK all hope you are all doing well, have a happy Pines Day all!!!

Good morning, MMC!

It is a rainy day out today, but I heard we are supposed to be in line for a major storm next week. Just might get a white Christmas cheesy My delivery came earlier than I thought, so I get to spend the rest of the day trying to figure out all the new technology I am expected to learn for work - it will make things so much easier once I do! On my CD player I have A Christmas Gift for You playing in the background - DL is on it!

I'm running out of time to watch my Christmas movies!
I tried to watch Scrooged last night in the den, but that TV has a loud buzzing sound when watching a DVD for some reason, it just about drowns out the movie, so I gave up. I try to watch the movies I like that my wife doesn't care about that much, but because of my work schedule, it's hard to find the time. She doesn't mind watching them with me, but I know I don't like sitting through movies I don't enjoy, so I don't want to make her do it either. She never said anything about it, it is my choice. I know what you mean SIT. I am also running out of time to watch my movies ! By now I have usually watched The Polar Express at least five times and this year I have only seen it once !!

I did love Joel Gray's performance in the Patrick Stewart Christmas Carol. There are many versions of it and I find that I like some part of all of them !!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!! It's going to be a warm but rainy day here in central Indy. I'm sitting here watching Santa Claus, The Movie. I love this movie. Especially the beginning. I have to do my normal cleaning this morning and then I'm going to sit down and make out a shopping list for tomorrow. I hope to be at the Pines early tonight to enjoy all of the festivities. It sounds like it's going to be one heck of a good time. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just have something to say and normally I'm silly and abit goofy, but today I'm just as serious as I can be.

First off,Thanks to all for the prayers!! and thanks so much for the hugs and kind words, CM3, big giant hugs right back to you!!!!!!!! and for a few friends who messaged me a huge thanks to you too!! it means more than you will ever know.


things like this, little things,is why I love MMC. yes everyone has a facebook now a days, but how many "friends" really are there when you need just to vent or talk or whatever? here it's like we all are truly family and understand. up and downs, highs and lows,laughs and even a few tears, we care and love one another like crazy!!! and even the silly one's like me need cheering up from time to time. I think the LORD blessed us all the day he put it into Mr.Jeff's mind and heart to make MMC. I'm not always the best with words, but I know I am blessed with having to have met some of the nicest sweetest folks here on MMC and I am honored and blessed to call them all my friends and Christmas family. Just wanted to say that and now back to your regular scheduled programming of the Christmas Countdown forums...........LOL

this is a cake I made for the acquired brain injury group here in town. Lindsay wanted it to actually be "injured" which is why it looks like it is bleeding.
This is a vanilla and raspberry marble cake with green pudding and red dream whip filling. (want it to look like a brain inside too!)

I had a really, really bad allergy attack this morning, just could not stop sneezing even with prescription meds. Thankfully it did subside and I finally got some sleep. I could be Rudolph's twin sister though with my nose as red as it is !! :rudolph:

Wayne (Snow-in-Texas) talked about Sheetz all the time since he is from Maryland. He said he use to stop there every morning before work for coffee. I finally got to go to one when we made our visit to Maryland back in October. They have everything! =)

They do have everything. I keep telling my DH I wish they would starting getting K cups. I love their coffee. I would sooo by it for my Keurig if they would make it...

Be sure to add lots of baking goodies to your list. Remember, you and Snowflake are going to help me bake! I am sure some others here on MMC want to help? :wink:

Hi everyone! I hope you're having a great day. Not anything really new here. I'm getting ready to call in and give my greeting for the podcast.

Tonight is my DH's work Christmas party. It is usually pretty boring though.... :-? It is just a dinner and then we usually go out for drinks afterwards, but I have to work tonight, so we will be going home around 9 or 9:30. I feel bad for him that his night will be cut short, but I don't think he cares too much either. Like I said, it's pretty boring.

Well...as I said...nothing really going on here. I will check back in later.
