We are now sitting at 63F but I think the high is 63F so basically it is getting cooler if at 9am we are already at our high temp for the day. Tonight we are actually getting down to 32F only the 3rd time this year...this winter is really out of the ordinary for us. we are about 15 to 20 degrees above average for highs and lows. It will be intersting to see how the spring will be here though. I hope we can break out of this drought we have been in for 2 years now.. Oh well...I have alot to do today but I would love nothing more than to sit here with my hot chocolate and read posts all day. THe last of my Autumn leaves are falling..I think they will all be on the ground by monday, thet are so pretty...the orange is so bright and you really don't see that kind of tree this far south...I wish more people would plant them! Everyone that is out doing thier last minute Christmas shopping: be careful and drive carefully!!! it's going to be a mad house in the malls today!!

Only 3 days left at work until I finish for Christmas, can't wait! Just waiting for the snow now, it had been snowing but hasn't stuck as the grounds to wet for it

CAH- Did you get a goodnight's sleep? The cake balls are waiting on you!!!!

I just realized I hit over 10,000 posts tonight! YAHHHH!
Congratulations!!!
I LOVE that movie. I hope we can watch it on the DVD projector this year. It made The Top 5 Romantic Moments in Christmas Movies in Podcast #15 (plug, plug ... I don't think anybody listened to it ...).
This is to you and Caninemom but I have never seen the Bishop's Wife all the way through, just bits and pieces of it. I seen The Preacher's Wife and it was so-so. I know it can't compete with the original. Last night when CM3 said she was watching it I tuned in but had missed the first 45 minutes of it. The last part of it was EXCELLENT! What an amazing story and what I saw of it was MUCH better than the Preacher's Wife. A great example of the way a prayer is answered! Wayne and I are going to get the movie and watch it together, probably tonight.
Since it's his birthday and since I look too weird, he is going down there and get it as a take-out.
Happy Birthday to him!!!
good morning all of you. got up at 9am....after kandice didnt sleep too well.....she caught an infect and started a high fever yesterday evening....she feels better now tho and is watching kids tv now
I sure hope she gets well soon!!!
Good morning! I woke up craving some M&M ice cream cookies and i am out of them!!

In other news I just heard Etta James has been diagnosed with terminal Cancer....such sad news...I love me some Etta James!
Ice cream is my FAVORITE but for breakfast? Barf!!! I mean literally! I hope you already ate before you read this but I ate ice cream for breakfast on two different occasions as a child and threw up both times! Of course now I find out I am allergic to dairy so maybe that's why? It just don't settle well on an empty stomach for me. Sorry for the gory details! lol

That is sad about Etta. =(
I had to add something I saw on the News just now...In Ontario Canada they have introduced this new feature in some shopping malls....It's called the "men's den" where men can go while thier wives are shopping...they have recliners and flat screen HDTV's where guys can go to relax...and they also serve food have video games...mimi golf even.lol I think that is a great idea and whoever though about actually opening a "men's den" is a genius and a rich man now during the holidays!!
That is a cool idea but with Wayne, he LOVES to go to the mall. I don't think he would go to the Men's Den. We go to the mall quite a bit together and sometimes it's his idea to want to go! =)

To me the Men's Den sounds like fun. I want to go and play mini golf!
Thanks for the input guys! Still sounds like a fun place to go though, might have to check it out if we ever get out that way!
It's a great idea to have an indoor amusement park. You don't have to deal with the heat. They have an indoor coaster that I have road a lot. It's fun!
forgive me friends, I do not have time to go through all the posts right now...159 since I was last on!

Today is my family Christmas party!!!
I have so much to do, so while having a breakfast break thought I would come over here and at least say good morning.

Hope you all have a fantastic day with just over a week until Christmas time is racing by now.
Have fun!
(Hey! Time is short!)

What else is short?
The remaining count, that's what:

I hear you on this one, Coach. You guys sure get out late for Christmas, don't you? When do you go back? I have been off on Workman's Comp since October 20th and tried to go back to work but didn't last five minutes because of my lack of energy. I FINALLY started feeling LOTS better on late Thursday and Friday, so being away from the kids really didn't help! I am ready to get back to them, believe it or not!

...School will be out Tuesday and I'm so excited. I can't wait to have a break. My contract is a 12 month contract, so no summer break for me (I know the real world doesn't get a summer break either), so this is a time I really get to rest and enjoy myself with no kids being around. Makes for a nice rest.

Good morning, Christmas friends. It is just a little frosty here in northern California, with a sky full of sunshine. Guess what? I get to wash my face, wash my hair, and take a shower today!!! Yippee!!! The small joys of surgery! Plus, my energy is still going; and that has improved my outlook! Have a great day, everyone! Oh, Made, I meant to ask about the cake balls. Do you squish them together like I used to do "loaf bread" when I was a kid? I've never had them, so maybe I should take CAH's place!

First, yay on being able to take a shower! Second, more than a _little_ frosty, at least in my corner of northern CA! But the sunshine is beautiful!

They are pretty simple to make but they take a lot of time. First you bake a boxed cake mix and when it's done baking you dump it into a bowl. Then you crumble it up and mix in a tub of icing. Then I let that chill overnight in the fridge. The next morning you roll it into balls and put them into the freezer for at least an hour. Then you dip them into chocolate.

These are now a part of my Christmas recipes!!! Thanks!

This is one of my favorite weeks of the year, the week leading up to Christmas. Work is busy but everyone seems to be in a great mood. Maybe because we are off for a week. :)

Also, last year I was able to get on this site early morning Christmas Eve but I couldn't log on later. Did anyone else have this problem? I think I will just stay logged on all day.
