Merry Christmas Eve Eve Everyone!
I'm trying my best to savor every minute of this time of year while it is here.
I am enjoying the calm quiet moments of the holidays more than anything else this year, in past years it was the parties, all the excess and craziness that seemed to grab my attention most, but this year, it is these quiet moments like this when I can reflect on the feeling and spirit of the holidays that are the high point of this Christmas season . I am sitting here realizing that despite a very rough and frustrating year 2011 has been, I am truly blessed and filled with joy and gratitude for all the blessings I have.
The area I live in is being hit by a crime wave that we have never seen before, break ins, home invasions, business after business being robbed and burglarized, there are even people going around following the UPS and FedEX trucks and stealing packages left by them, I spent the last two days keeping vigil on my tracking numbers and making sure I was home to get my packages soon as they were dropped off, thankfully all my orders are here now. There are so many people that are so desperate this year, it is just sad and an unfortunate byproduct of the state of the world and economy we live in these days. But despite all the sad news, the Christmas spirit continues to make the news, I just had watched about the "layaway angels" people that have been going to Kmarts and anonymously paying off peoples layaway accounts.
On a lighter note....I'm watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer on my phone! Someone was kind enough to upload the full program in HD on youtube, and while I have this on DVD....it is really cool to be able to watch it in HD on my phone lol :cheesy:

Hope everyone else is having a great day before Christmas Eve and enjoying the joy and blessings of the season despite of all the things that are not quite perfect this year.

I have been awake for more than an hour and I cannot go back to sleep, the surgery is weighing heavily in my mind, I know it is routine, but I haven't "gone under the knife" since I had my appendix out back in 1986. I wanted to get on here before traffic gets to heavy, I did have trouble getting on this early though. Depending on how I am feeling, I will try to be on here for the "Love-fest" tonight. I hope you all have a great Christmas Eve Eve
Oh, what the heck.
Here's to post number 3,000 for me.
Can someone help me try to post things to you tube ?? I have tried all different ways and I can't seem to get my videos to post.
Good evening,
I am done working for 2011!!!! Only problem is I have surgery tomorrow afternoon. It should be a quick procedure, but nerve racking just the same. I have solved my "problem" at work and it looks like I have made a great friend, I am so glad I took CM3's advice. Thank you CM3! If anyone has a chance to see the movie/documentary "Becoming Santa" I don't think you will be disappointed.
Have a great night!

I know the feeling, feeling bittersweet about it too! The weather around here as been very un-Christmas like, thunderstorms last night and too warm for snow.
I know...I'm going to do my best to cherish every moment w/ my family!! Time just goes by so fast when you're having fun. Hope you have a very Merry Christmas, CJ!!
Just popping in for a quick visit. It's only two days until the big day and I'm not in the Christmas mood at all. I don't know what to do. The movies haven't been doing anything for me. Maybe it's because I have seen all of them, but it hasn't been just that. It's the first Christmas without my sister and my parents have been arguing. Mum has been great, but my dad is hot and cold. One moment he is nice and jolly, then another moment he is angry and bitter. I'm having trouble and I really hope to be in the Christmas mood by the big day. I'm going to see the Christmas lights tomorrow night with family friends and watch the carols when I get home, so I hope that changes everything.
Sending you all lots of Christmas Spirit!! Hope things turn around soon. Merry Christmas!!! :sparkle:
Good morning everyone! stilll no baby! but brandi is feeling somewhat better and the fake contractions have stopped. Her parents are flying this afternoon from Mass. I talked to my dad last night and he sounded really depressed and I think it's getting to him that he really wants to go home since it's the holidays. And I guess I feel the same way,I feel like I need to be there with him and my mom but I can't with the baby about to come I can't be 2 places at once...anyhow I hope my dad can recover some more and be home by May! Have a great day everyone!
Thinking of you, Brandi, & your family! Merry Christmas!!
...Very well said, I am looking forward to spending the year with the greatest group of people on the whole internet here at MMC getting ready for Christmas 2012 too!
for those who wonder if they are really in the Chritmas spirit or not, I found a little quiz for you to take!

My results:
Do you have the Christmas spirit?
Yes, you definitely have the Christmas spirit. You've had it since early October when you first put up your Christmas decorations, but please remember that not everyone feels the same way. Most likely to say: "Cheer up ... it's Christmas!"
:hello:
I am finally feeling better today! The grandkids came over yesterday and they made gingerbread houses. My 2 year old granddaughter ate most of the decorations as she made hers. :-D
I haven't had much time to spend on here and very behind on the countdown. I hope to be able to be on here for Darlene Love! If not, you all have a great time!!!
