Came home from work to find db decorating a second Christmas tree
perhaps a little behind, but nonetheless awesome!! Sorry to mention I still haven't sent out my cards, I am embarrassed but I swear I will send them out I just had no time before Christmas

Mouse is doing well :dance:
She received three shots and goes back on Wednesday and Friday for more. The vet doesn't want to put her off her food, so antibiotic injections it is. She was such a good girl - very scared, but didn't make a peep. She is now snoozing in front of the heat register.

I didn't do very much in this thread in 2011. It was a rough year. I will not be sad to see 2011 end. I will do better in 2012. I pray that this year will be the best year ever for everyone.:!!
I attempted to head out to the mall for a couple of hours to look for some steals, deals, and of course Christmas stuff. I found this awesome little cookbook with over 100+ Christmas themed recipes for $2.97!! I get so excited over little things like that! On the drive home, TONS of people still had their houses lit up outside. It seems like everyone is still in the Christmas mentality, which of course I love cheesy! I have to say I am not as depressed as I usually am, although last night I was very bummed. I had no plans to go out today, but tomorrow I'm going to relax, watch Christmas movies/shows, and take it easy.
My mom said when she was a child, Christmas was practically a week long celebration from Christmas Eve to New Years. I think I'm going to start that tradition back up and keep things going! It seems like everyone nowadays is so concerned with taking their decorations down and moving on the second that Christmas is over. That's no fun!
I hope you all have a great evening! I am going to go make myself some food, I am starving and the mall was packed!

just finished kneading a batch of egg noodles for my turkey soup. The noodles now need to rest for 10 min then I can roll them out and add to the soup. The homemade noodles are soooo good!
Sorry to hear you had a rough year, I will be sure to pray for you that things will get better in 2012.
when I was a kid we had the same tradition, so much fun between Christmas and new years, games, baking, fun outside in the snow. Really helps to extend the season.

thats what it like over there most are on holidays from work and school for about 10 days we have boxing day and some shops open for the sales and some on the 27th but almost all is open again by the 28th. our banks this year is not open to the 29th then there is new year and we are shut again

glad to hear it dont you just hate it when a pet is not well
rather drastic...but then there were times I was willing to sell my kids to the next person who came to the door LOL
