Good Morning, friends~

Thinking of all of you today & every day!!

Hope the post-Christmas blues are on their way out for you all that have them. I am doing ok with mine, probably because I still have my family here. They will hit hard next week, I'm sure.

Today, we are going to browse around an outdoor shopping mall. It's supposed to be in the 60's, so we're taking advantage of that! We also want to take Harlowe & Jazzie (parent's pup) for a nice long walk. Tonight, taking Dad out for Italian- his favorite.

What plans do you all have??

Sending hugs you way!!

I think Carl has spiked the coffee again because I'm having a really strong urge to dance on the table.

I guess I will fry the last few pieces of catfish from the other night...I love catfish and hot sauce!!! today has flown by...we are in the last 72 hours of 2011!!!

I totally forgot today was pines day...these weds are coming everyday it seems. I guess it's the last pines day for 2011! I am really motivated to start 2012 off right...I just got hired at the local YMCA to teach water tai chi chuan...now I have to learn how to do it myself really quick!!

And to all my Canadian friends at MMC I was just driving to the grocery store and was bored while I was at a red light so I started playing with my controls on the car and it turns out my car also has displays all in metric too so it is 11C now in my town...and I have no idea what that is is English units.. just thought that was neat.lol can anyone tell I am bored.!!
congrats on the new job! I had a water arobics teacher at the YMCa that did not know what she was doing, hopfully she has learned since then!!

11c is warm for this time of the year! Right now it is -6c here. I have that feature on the car too, love it when I head down to the states.

Please keep us posted. Some of us have been down that route, and we're here to listen. Hodgkin's survivor here.

Thanks, Merry. I appreciate that. And I don't know if this is the right way to say it, but I mean it from the heart.. (((Congrats)))!!

snowflake - I will keep you in my prayers. Hopefully you have some better news coming very soon.

Thank you all for thinking of me.
I've had some minor health problems, strange symptoms for someone my age, for awhile & for the past year have gone to four specialists that doctors have referred me to. Long story short, I ended up at a dermatologist for another reason, and while I was there I asked her to do a mole check because I am so fair skinned. She found some questionable ones, and had me come back last week to remove them & get them biopsied. They came back atypical & "not good". She wants me to come back in next week for her to go in dig deeper w/ a scalpel. I'm very confused, she had her front desk call initially & when I started to get nervous & ask questions, they put her on. I could tell she didn't want to talk about it on the phone, and it was like pulling teeth to get what I got. "Probably melanoma" were her words that I finally dragged out...I just have so many questions, and am a bit scared. We have lots of cancer on both sides of my family. We just lost my Aunt to cancer last year. I am kind of shocked about all this, I stay out of the direct sun, wear hats & full sunscreen if I'm outside, etc. Especially with the strong sun here.

Anyways, thanks for the prayers. I see my doctor next Tuesday, I'll keep you posted when she returns my call this week.

xo, Stacey
keep us posted, will continue to pray for you

Taking a break from doing housework and coming to spend some time with you guys.

I think I will head over to the Pines soon! :)

A poem to change the way you think of taking down your Christmas Tree

Taking down the Christmas tree…

Today we are taking down the Christmas tree… Sad you say?!?! Well, never mind that let me show you what to wrap and where to put this and that…
First we take the love we shared, careful now, place it here, in this box we will wrap it up, but not all you see I’ve left just enough to last the year well plant it later say April or May we will watch it grow, this stuff is powerful and spreads out so nice that before you know it well have those cool nights where will pull in the love from our Fall harvest and gift wrap it out for our next Christmas Service.
Ahhh, the memories, and yes those will be next but watch them my dear they like to play tricks – just when you think you tucked them away they pop back out and have you smiling in July of the Christmas fun you had this year. All the memories you’ll look back on in the times to come, of Christmas and all it’s fun. Memories of days gone by, all to swiftly you will think, but cry not my dear look how this box is now overflowing – oh here is a memory gosh is it already 10 years old, oh here is a baby one just a mere two years, and yes here is one I kept from childhood, now never mind how old that one is, let’s look at yours we do not have far to dig, here is one and yes here’s another, oh that pesky cat she has grabbed two of them!!! Catch her now don’t let her lose them these will be our family’s prized positions.
Now on to cheer!!! Let’s place it here let’s leave a spot for joy – I like to keep them on top!!! They are easy to get too and oh my once they’re out they go gadding about… To the neighbors off they will rush, right down the block and up the next before you know it they are back at the door and oh my how much they have brought, look at this here a new little cheer will keep this next to the older ones. Yes, place joy here, yes I love the way they look just like a perfect couple.
But every couple needs a third I think… So please let’s place peace right near them like that… Now look at that picture… Cheer, Joy, and Peace… It makes my heart smile to know they are close by never too far for my Christmas Heart to grab at.
Oh no, please do not lock these boxes… No, locks are for things you do not want others to have I want these to spread all over the land… No locks on my packed away Christmas things… Share them we must and let them breath packing them too tightly away you may forget about them in years to come and how awful that would be.
Now for the tree, yes she (well I am a girl you can make yours a boy) was beautiful… I will store her away for a new batch of Christmas things when next year I can put even more love, memories, peace, and joy on her… Oh what a site she will make. Now years ago I had real trees, no garbage for them oh no, no, sir… Recycled back to Mother Earth to keep the cycle going of new birth.
What is it you say, my ornaments? What of these? Place them in these trucks right here for these I will wrap with care, my angels, my doves, the shiny bright balls, the beads, the Jacob Marley, my Pooh, my Piglet, this trinket, that one too… Wrap my elves, my Santa, my bears; wrap them all with loving care… Take a little love some joy some peace, place them in between.
You see my dear, that wasn’t so bad look at you laughing and having fun!!! I thought you said this would be sad??? Putting away your Christmas Tree may not be the happiest day for you or me, but putting it away lets us see all the wonderful things it has been, the memories of yesterday, we have now in our hearts. Bring it out all year long and never will Christmas be far.

A few years ago I did this for a group of Sunday School Children, I was filling in for the regular Sunday School Teacher and well the little ones were all upset as Three Kings day was coming and that is when a lot of the people in my Church take down the tree. So, I thought of this and put it on the black board and read it to them. Now some of those "little ones" ones are growing and two of them asked me for copies. I cannot believe they remembered it!! I have to say it made me glad.

Wear some larger socks for the leg warmers--I have in mind Hubbie' socks!!! that are stretched out at the top!!!

HA, HA, HA, I have curly hair so I plan on teasing it out to high heaven and hair spray it galore!!! I have these neon pink (SP) schunchies but I am not sure if I am going to ware them in my hair or around my wrist?!?! What to do!!! I cannot find a cheap knock off of a Swatch!!! HA, HA, HA!!! Leg Warmers Anyone!?!?!?!

The BEST explanation ever!!!

Blame it on whomever--this is your own true self coming through!!!

HA, Ha, Ha... SW com'on!!! we all need a scape... CAMEL?!?!?!?????

My wife lets me keep up my decorations as long as I want, I just let her put the furniture or decorate the rest of the year how she wants, so if I want to keep a tree up until February, I will get "the look" but she won't say anything. cheesy

She told me today it all has to be down by Easter, hmmmm maybe April 1st this year. cheesy

You have to go shopping!!!!!! That's how you get all of your new decorations for next year at a great price. Well most of the stores are running their Christmas decorations on clearance at least a week before Christmas now so it kind of takes the fun out of day after.

This is a tradition my parents hold as well every year. I need to start it as well. I would probably get better deals!

I have nightmares about hitting the wrong button and deleteing the entire countdown thread.

Oh...that would be soooo horrible...

Me Too. I probably won't get a chance to catch up until wednesday though.

I didn't think it would take me until today, but it looks like it as well. I should be caught up very soon!

I am SO looking forward to this! We've been there three or four times before, but always with family members. This will be the first time with just the two of us!

I hope you have a wonderful time! Sound like a lot of fun!

I just hate how it goes from constant Christmas shows, specials, movies, and songs to "hey let's just hurry up and rip all of our decorations down and get all of the boring programming back on!" Boo!

Hallmark will be showing movies clear up through New Year's Day!

Good evening!

Mouse is doing well
She received three shots and goes back on Wednesday and Friday for more. The vet doesn't want to put her off her food, so antibiotic injections it is. She was such a good girl - very scared, but didn't make a peep. She is now snoozing in front of the heat register.

Have a MERRY evening!!!!!!

That is great news! I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers!

I didn't do very much in this thread in 2011. It was a rough year. I will not be sad to see 2011 end. I will do better in 2012. I pray that this year will be the best year ever for everyone.

Praying that 2012 is a better year for you!

I think I'm just going to set my apartment on fire instead of cleaning it.

rather drastic...but then there were times I was willing to sell my kids to the next person who came to the door LOL

DH wants to why I keep LOL!

thats what it like over there most are on holidays from work and school for about 10 days we have boxing day and some shops open for the sales and some on the 27th but almost all is open again by the 28th. our banks this year is not open to the 29th then there is new year and we are shut again

That sounds so nice! Wish it was like that over here!

DH just got up and accidentally knocked my hot chocolate all over our love seat...opps!

I guess we're going to be using our brand new carpet scrubber we bought for Christmas! Thanks again Santa! Geez! :-D

Carl on Bradway?!?!?!

I think Carl has spiked the coffee again because I'm having a really strong urge to dance on the table.

Speak of Camels... There was one at the Radio City Christmas Show that I could have sworn was Carl... The handler had such a time he kept looking for treats and wanting to lay down it was so funny!!!

Hmmm, you know we did go on a Saturday, who knows with the camel I bet he did make it to Broadway!!! Tee Hee

Ugh don't ever want to see another piece of fried fish again! I totally just over ate and I think I will waddle with brandi to bed and rest.lol it is after all my last week of vacation. this time in a week I will be back at work. in fact not another vacation until July!!! have a good afternoon and evening everyone! try to keep those post xmas blues away.

Before I go to bed though I forgot to mention that my mom sent my presents fedex this year and on the 23rd I got 3 scented yankee candles.(which I never buy myself since they are too expensive) I have sage, lily, and ocean air, needless to say I have been burning them nonstop.. if I ever make it back to Mass. I want to visit the flagship store in Deerfield. I think I could do massive damage there! especially if it is in October!
