When the movie came out, I had had the music for many years (from the 70s). I kept playing it for my students. We went to see the movie during Christmas. I wish you could have seen their faces. Priceless!!!

Well, our plans for New Years Eve are finalized and I'm excited. My brother-in-law and sister-in-law are coming to our house. We are going to watch a movie, eat hot wings and pizza, and play wii. Low key, just how I like it!

The best part....I will get to be here tomorrow night. New thread has me excited! How will we ever top this one?

Hi everyone! Happy New Year! Just checking in real quick on my break.

Sorry I didn't check in before work. I ended up taking a nap right after dinner, then had to come to work.

She said it was the worst pain she has ever felt, they gave her 3 shots of morphine to dull the pain. We are all worried that the cancer came back and weakened her bone, please keep her in your thoughts and prayers tonight.

Glad to hear she got it sorted. your right she.s a tough lady .and going to the dentist with no pain relief omg.. how ???

JP had Cub Scouts tonight, he fully enjoyed it. We are not hosting NYE now our friends decided to take it off our hands since we hosted both Christmas Eve, and Day. Only problem is they keep asking us to supply all the food and drinks, they do this every time, they hosted Easter and had someone else make the ham, we have been having them as part of the family for nearly 10 years since they have no other family here, they always supply the salad for all parties, and never make an attempt to do anything else. I am just ticked off because we always are the first to take hosting duties for holidays or parties, and spend our hard earned money on the perfect roast, or spend the time to prepare food and dessert. I would rather host and spend our money instead of made to feel guilty that we don't bring our own supplies since they don't want to spend it. They make quite a bit more than we do. We are bringing snacks, and dessert as our part. As we should bring something. I am sorry for venting.

I would be upset, too. I think taking one thing is sufficent, but I am sure you feel like you're in a rock and a hard place.

CM3, congrats on the three days off! We have a three-day weekend, too. Got out of the office around 12:15 today, came home, had a little lunch, then made some Chex Mix for tomorrow night's movies. We met some friends or a very good dinner tonight at an Irish pub in Newton and exchanged Christmas gifts. Ours included a "Christmas tree kit"---a lovely little live cypress with a little pack of ornaments and lights! I'll have to care for it indoors until spring
