I hit my goal I set for myself in early December of 2,400 posts to the Christmas Countdown, I never thought I talked that much, but all of you make it easy to share with. Thank you all.

Really enjoyed this thread with all of you. Looking forward to the 2012 countdown. For some reason, I have a feeling that 2012 is going to be a very good year. I am not sad to see 2011 go!
 
Hey everyone!

I was just talking to my husband about the Christmas countdown thread last night. I was telling him that the countdown really is a blessing throughout the year and although I am excited about the new countdown coming up I am always a little sad to see the old countdown thread closed. I guess I'm just sentimental like that:). But I am very, very excited to see the new countdown thread start and I too am looking forward to a new year that is superb!

Got my ham and cabbage ready to go and my best friend is bringing the cornbread and black-eyed peas tomorrow to start the year off right (not to mention the Welch's grape juice that me and the boys will ring in the year with...they're just excited to be allowed to stay up late!).

Be safe everyone. If you have to drink don't drive and if you have to drive don't drink! See y'all at Christmas countdown 2012!!
 
Our family New Years Party will be at Bernie's Store tonight, and I won't have access to internet there. I'll have to say my Happy New Years early.

Congrats, CM3 on December's MOM! So well deserved! :))
 
I made Made's mac salad, put together the layered jello thingy, made deviled eggs, got things ready to make more roll-ups, and got the ingredients for cioppino. The cioppino is for tonight. Tomorrow, I will get the ham in the oven, mix up the rolls, mash the potatoes, and have a good dinner. I hope to be on later tonight to ring in the new year.

I didn't realize so many places were closed on New Years Eve to eat. My parents finally had to settle for Pizza Hut to order the pizza from. Hopefully it will be good. :-?
 
I am finally getting to listen to Christmas Podcast (#16). It is so nice to hear everyone's greetings. It just makes me smile! It makes me remember why I come here everyday! :-D
 
Not too long and my brother-in-law and sister-in-law will be here...pizza is about to be ordered...I'm pretty excited about tonight....laid back...heck, I'll be in bed before 2012....I think that's a sign of maturity.....

My wife says thats a sign of being an old man before my time.
