Thank you!!! The prayers are working!!!

Bless your heart, Cherylle. I'm continuing my prayers for your complete recovery. Keep your wonderful attitude (and your confident doctor!), and you will do great!

Update: I have cancer in both breasts. First, I go for an MRI, then genetic testing of the tumors to see if they are "related" (NOT good) or independent. After that, surgery and radiation implants and finally chemo. My doctor is VERY confident. He told me, "I don't want to brag, but I am VERY good at my job and my cure rate is 5% better than the national average. He also said he thinks I will die of old age and NOT cancer!!! No wonder I have felt so calm!!! I appreciate ALL your kind thoughts, and your prayers have been WONDERFUL!!! Trust me!!! I told my daughter, but I won't tell my sons yet. Don't stop praying or sending positive thoughts!!!

Thanks for keeping us informed. You are blessed to have a doctor with such a positive attitude---add your own positive attitude, and you MUST have a good outcome. There's a lot of positive thinking and prayer behind your fight. There will be bad days, but keep looking ahead to remission. We'll all get you there.

How can I say thanks??? The positiveness from this forum is...I can't think of a word that can even explain how I feel!!!

I love Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pirates of the Carribbean, Peter Pan's Flight, The Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, and the Storybook Land boats. When my kids get on my nerves, I just start singing "It's a Small World." They hate when I do that!! Haha!!!

I nearly cried during the It's a Small World ride because I didn't want the ride to end, it was that beautiful to me.

We had a girl at our school with leukemia which she developed in Kindergarten. She has already graduated high school. My son has been cancer-free (leukemia) for four years now. I am so thankful for those who volunteer and donate time and money for cancer research. On another note, when we went grocery shopping yesterday after my appointment, the store (WinCo) had onions that were grown by farmers who donated part of the sales to breast cancer research, The box was blue with a big pink ribbon and a big pink label. Needless to say, those were the onions we bought. At first George didn't know what I meant when I said, "Let's get the pink onions!"

You are such a jewel, AMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here I am with my pom-poms ready to cheer you on!

I am adding a six year old girl and a four year old boy to my hero cape this year. The girl had a tumor removed from her neck and the boy was rushed to Sick Kids with a diagnosis of luekemia. I sure hope he pulls through.

Thanks SeaWaters. An older cousin of mine developed leukemia when he was in his twenties and continued to go in and out of remission. He lived into his late fifties and it was his heart that finally gave out on him. I am feeling optimistic for the boy, they thought he had the flu then mono and then whisked him off to the hospital so it sounds like they've caught it early enough to work those miracles.

We don't want you to disappear. :transform:

I do believe Jeff has had a few minor problems with his email the last few days so rest assured, he's not ignoring you. I suggest sending a private message to a few admins and copy Jeff that way someone should be able to respond to you in case they miss this post.

If I do the dishes, can I get a plate of turkey?

Will CAH and I get turkey, too??? That would really put the icing on the cake, what with the snow and pink gloves!!!

Of course you can have turkey!!!!!!! I just put it in the oven about an hour ago so it will be ready in about 2 hours.

mmmm Turkey!

I'm having leftover Shepherd's Pie for lunch. Instead of using regular potatoes I decided to substitute a purple sweet potato, it was a little drier than usual, but tasted great and has more nutritional value.

We will be having beef-barley stew for dinner. It's in the crockpot right now. I will head out to Made's and have turkey for lunch!!!

I will continue keeping you in my thoughts, I am confident you will get through this.

My mom snapped her ankle taking out the trash because my father was out playing Bridge and forgot to do it. She made him pay for it by getting a bell to ring whenever she needed something.

One of my nurses said to me "I guess you won't be listening to your wife anymore, will you?" I just laughed when she said that.

I will definitely say an extra prayer. Also, I have read that some think a positive attitude helps and I know that it is probably tough right now, but the human body is very powerful.

Good afternoon,

Just sitting here watching "Duck Soup," I love this movie another classic by the Marx Brothers. We have been cleaning up the house for tomorrow for my wife's and my birthday celebration, just a little get together with friends and family and Chinese food. A big game tonight, the Bruins play the Hurricanes, I can't wait. They keep talking about a big football game up here tonight, but what could be bigger than the Bruins? cheesy

Enjoy your Saturday!
