Update: I have cancer in both breasts. First, I go for an MRI, then genetic testing of the tumors to see if they are "related" (NOT good) or independent. After that, surgery and radiation implants and finally chemo. My doctor is VERY confident. He told me, "I don't want to brag, but I am VERY good at my job and my cure rate is 5% better than the national average. He also said he thinks I will die of old age and NOT cancer!!! No wonder I have felt so calm!!! I appreciate ALL your kind thoughts, and your prayers have been WONDERFUL!!! Trust me!!! I told my daughter, but I won't tell my sons yet. Don't stop praying or sending positive thoughts!!!
Bless your heart, Cherylle. I'm continuing my prayers for your complete recovery. Keep your wonderful attitude (and your confident doctor!), and you will do great!

Mom's knee surgery went great, and she's actually up and about today!

Oh sorry I just now have responded to this...I will pray for you and I told my mom and sister and brandi too as well. you are such an amazing person seawaters...we just have to have faith everything will work out...and I am sure it will!!!

I have been to Disneyland twice and Disney World twice. The first time I went to Disney World Epcot was there. My son was a baby and I was able to take him on just about every ride! (no roller coaster, of course!). The 2nd time we went to Disney World we also visited Universal Studios which was a lot of fun!

The one thing I like about Disneyland better is the weather is great in the summer compared to Disney World in Florida during that time.

We went to Universal Studios in California. The actor Michale Bien was our tour guide, he was just getting into the business when we were there. Good memories of that trip. I ate at a fancy seafood restaurant with my parents while my brothers went and dined at the Jack in the Box.

Good morning, MMC!

It is very cold out - and it is still snowing. I do believe winter has finally come. The thermostat said it was down to 59 degrees this morning - not bad for only using the Edenpure at night. I sleep better with cooler temperatures and I am not so stuffed up when I wake up - all good! There should be major savings, too, which is why we are doing this in the first place.

Today I am working, Christmas crafting, reading, doing a few of the decluttering tasks I did not get to earlier this week and listening to the Greasy Skillet later on this evening.

Have a MERRY day and stay safe and warm!!!!!!!!!!

There's a rainbow (without rain), yet the tires on the car seem square instead of round from the cold meanwhile my husband just inquired about the sweat on my forehead.

Hotflashes can work in my favour sometimes. Cooler temps at night work for me too. HaHa

I love Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Pirates of the Carribbean, Peter Pan's Flight, The Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, and the Storybook Land boats. When my kids get on my nerves, I just start singing "It's a Small World." They hate when I do that!! Haha!!!

We had a girl at our school with leukemia which she developed in Kindergarten. She has already graduated high school. My son has been cancer-free (leukemia) for four years now. I am so thankful for those who volunteer and donate time and money for cancer research. On another note, when we went grocery shopping yesterday after my appointment, the store (WinCo) had onions that were grown by farmers who donated part of the sales to breast cancer research, The box was blue with a big pink ribbon and a big pink label. Needless to say, those were the onions we bought. At first George didn't know what I meant when I said, "Let's get the pink onions!"

You are such a jewel, AMD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's cold here too. I'll be hiberrnating this weekend, hoping to catch up on some merry threads, do a little housework and relax and watch some videos on the love seat with O'Malley the cat while my husband watches his sports from the other TV.

I've been to Disney World and Disney Land. When I was at Disney World the second time, they didn't even have Sky Mountain or the Epcot centre built yet. My favourite memories include the Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, the Tiki Room, the Mad Hatter's Tea Cup ride, the parade and the hotel we stayed at. My least favourite part was the time I wasted trying to cheer up that gloomy old Eeyore. At Disney Land, many of the rides and attractions were similar, but I was a few years older and noticed more couples and fewer families in attendance.

That sounds extremely painful. Hope you heal the heel soon!

I found one box of Christmas cards that went missing from after Christmas sales last year. Tucked it away in a better spot in my mini Christmas cupboard so it won't get lost again.

Ouch! I hope the air cast works and that it helps alleviate the pain! Do you have know how you tore part of the ligament?

Ditto on the OUCH and the how of it all.

Seawaters: thinking of you and sending positive thoughts and big, big hugs your way ((((((((SEAWATERS))))))))

Good evening, Christmas family!

I finally finished with my work a little while ago - two items are not identified as of yet, so I have more research ahead of me tomorrow. It is getting very cold out - I think it is time to go cover up and read or do some sort of craft - I have already made part of my Christmas gift list up for this year and if I don't start working on the handmade items, they won't get done in time.

Have a MERRY evening!!!!!!!!!

I'm not very crafty, but I am putting together a Christmas Photo Quilt and a Christmas photo scrapbook - not sure if I'll keep them for myself or give them away to someone special on my gift list. I will be including some winter photos not just Christmas and family related pics.

My mom snapped her ankle taking out the trash because my father was out playing Bridge and forgot to do it. She made him pay for it by getting a bell to ring whenever she needed something.

Here I am with my pom-poms ready to cheer you on!

I was a K-mart hockey team cheerleader when I was younger. I love it when doctors are optimistic!

My co-captain of the relay team loved my idea about my mascot costume and she has already picked up lab coats and scrubs.

I am adding a six year old girl and a four year old boy to my hero cape this year. The girl had a tumor removed from her neck and the boy was rushed to Sick Kids with a diagnosis of luekemia. I sure hope he pulls through.
Prayer works the way it is meant to work. I think it is the most powerful tool to all mankind. It is working!!! How in the heck do you think I have been so calm??? The prayers from my Christmas friends and others. Keep it up!!!!! And thanks from the bottom of my heart!!!

Oh Seawaters....I was praying for so much better than this for you .....I guess I don't understand how prayer works..feel so much like I failed you...still praying though ......love you xoxo

Thanks for your prayers. They are really a blessing!!!

Although I am crying as I read this, I am so glad to see that you have such peace. Even though you did get bad news, I am also glad to hear that you also got good news from your doctor. I will keep praying for you and will put you on my prayer chain at church.

Stay strong. You're a fighter and we're all behind you!

It's working, it's working!!!

Oh, Seawaters, I am so sorry you have to go through this fight, but we are here for you!!! I am so glad you have such a good doctor - he sounds absolutely wonderful!!! I will keep praying for you and am sending all the strength, positive thoughts, Christmas Spirit and big hugs that I can ((((((((SEAWATERS))))))))

Yes!!!!

cm3, you did not fail seawaters at all. We don't always get the exact thing we pray for, but that doesn't mean our prayers weren't answered in some way. I know it is hard to have faith at times (trust me, i have had major doubts the past year!), but prayer does work. It provides peace and hope to those you are praying for and their loved ones, too, and it gives you something to believe in when there is nothing in your life that seems to be working. I am glad you are still praying!!! (((hugs)))

Thanks. It really does help to have someone praying for you. I truly believe in the power of prayer. I am sure I will need it when I go through chemo!!!

I am so sorry for the news you got.

Extra big time prayers for you!!!!! Keep your positive attitude and that will help heal as well! (((((((((((hugs))))))))))))) to you!

WE ARE HERE FOR YOU!

You did not fail!!!! Prayer is powerful! Listen to Meceka, she said it best!

Agree!

I'm so happy to hear that you got to stay in ... I was worried about your having to drive in the snow and ice. I know how nerve-wracking that is, especially since I drive a Corolla and not an SUV.

I was relieved that I got to say in, too. Ever since last winter when I was sliding all over the place, it made me not want to drive in the snow. My car does not go well in the snow which makes it even worse. SUVs and trucks seem to go much better in the snow than your car and mine!

Well I finally broke down and downloaded angry birds onto mt tablet and now I think I'm addicted. My only saving grace is that it runs down the battery quick.

Sent from my MID7012 using Tapatalk

I always wanted to download that game because it's all that people talk about! Now I think I'm going to have to do it. All of the games on my iPod kill the battery. I play for around half an hour or so and half of the battery life is sucked down!

Good evening,

I went to JP's Cub Scout meeting, thinking I would be sitting the whole time, but no it was a field trip to the Fire Station, I stood the whole time. My foot is feeling better, but still tough to stand with a hurt foot. So my 16 day weekend has started rough, I am going to go stir crazy over the next 2 weeks, you guys will get sick of me, I will be here quite a bit.

Have a good night!

I am glad that your foot is feeling better, still saying prayers that it heals quickly. I could never be sick of anyone! A 16 day weekend sounds nice - watch Christmas movies!

I am so disappointed for you. I have been praying for you and this is the opposite of what I was expecting to hear. A positive attitude goes a long way and can really make a difference to health. I will continue sending prayers and positive thoughts your way for nothing but the best for you. It is so good to hear that you have such a positive doctor. It is nice to hear someone confident in what they do instead of being a negative nelly. Relax, take it easy, and watch some Christmas movies to put you in a good mood!

That sounds like such a nice day! I really should start reading - I bought myself a book a few weeks ago but I never started it. Decluttering is also something that I should do, but it's not one of my favorites lol!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!! It's going to be another cold day here in central Indy with a high of 23 and some snow this afternoon. I really don't have anything planned for today. I'm going to stick my turkey in the oven here soon and then I have to figure out what to make with it. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

If I do the dishes, can I get a plate of turkey?

Mom's knee surgery went great, and she's actually up and about today!

Good to hear it, I kept her in my prayers! I am glad that she's up and moving today. Hopefully she continues to feel even better as they day goes on.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Good morning, everyone! I have nothing planned today (gee, I feel like I said this last Saturday) - partially because of the weather. It is only 20° F out right now and I do not think it is supposed to get much warmer. They were calling for possible snow showers today but it has been snowing since I woke up and is not easing up at all. I don't really like driving in the snow and the roads are covered so I am just going to stay in today and relax. I have a little bit of homework to do for one of my classes so I hope to get it done early!
My mom and I recorded a bunch of shows from this week and last weekend so we are going to play catch up tonight. I have been watching so much Penguins hockey lately which makes it hard to watch my shows at night. It was so nice to see them get a win yesterday after six losses.
I should be on and off today since I'll be home. Hope you all have a nice start to your afternoon!
Will CAH and I get turkey, too??? That would really put the icing on the cake, what with the snow and pink gloves!!!
