My foot is in a lot of pain today, I had to pick LC up the other night, and I felt another "pop" I don't know what I can do about work if I need that hard cast.

Hey everybody!

I am up in the middle of the night working on a PowerPoint for my final in my latest class. What fun! It isn't due until next Monday but I'm trying to get it out of my way so I can relax (sorta!) for the rest of the week. Hope everyone is having a blessed and beautiful evening!!

I forgot to add that I told the principal that I want to send a letter to the parents of my students so they know what is going on AND that I have completed ALL my lesson plans to the END of the YEAR!!! I am exhausted!!!

girl, you are def a planner. i hear ya'! that's a wonderful idea to send a letter to your kids parents, i think most parents want to stay in "the loop" & that just means more prayers & thoughts for your full recovery!

I told the secretary at our school that I was going to Wal-Mart to buy some hats in case I lose my hair. Today she brought in about a dozen hats that her mom (95 years old) has knitted/crocheted!!!

how sweet was that!? seawaters you're a standout to all, see, the secretary loves you too!

Had been eyeing an originally $160.00 unlit tree at k-mart....went down to 90% yesterday and got the last one for 15.99 when i stopped in on my way to work.....normally not in the buying mood for the clearance stuff, but couldn't pass that up......is much bigger than the old one so I will have to buy some new stuff for it. The old prelit one didnt last but a couple of years....dont want to go down that road anymore!

wow nothing like a good deal, we bought one but it was only 50% off, & so big i'm worried it won't fit! way to go!!!

It seems like forever since I have posted in the countdown. I guess it was really only a couple of days ago. Right now I am listening to Music Choice Classical Masterpieces -A composition by Leopold Mozart is playing. I must say, his son was so much more talented !!

It went from 53 today down to in the 30s by 7 p.m. A crazy Winter for sure. The poor earth just doesn't know what to do anymore. I sure hope winter normalizes soon - all these up and down temperatures is a way to become really sick fast !!

There is nothing new here. Just my schedule change. I have to work 8-1/2 hours Mon through Thursday, off Friday, Work 6 hours Saturday then off Sunday.....This is one old dog who isn't learning new tricks very well !! :-o

My tree is still up but I think I am finally beginning to accept that I must take it down plus (and you are going to think I am really crazy) I took a video of my tree with my Ipod so I can look at it during the Summer and remember exactly what it looks like all decorated !!

January is finally starting to get to the end !! In no time the new Hallmark ornament books will be out ! I think in March maybe ?? My sister and I are already discussing going to the ornament premiere !!! That makes me feel better already. I got another app for my Ipod. This one is a virtual candle (looks really REAL) with Christmas carols playing in the background and verses of Scripture on the screen. It is so beautiful. The carols are all sacred carols. It gave me so much peace that I fell asleep this morning with it running. It is just awesome and It was only 0.99 !!

good a.m. ya'll! well it's rainy here & has been all night. we heard thunder last night before bed. i think maybe it's gonna get colder now but not sure, it would help if i listened to the weather some time wouldn't it? i usually see what dawg says their weather is gonna be like & then ask the girls @ work too. between the 2 i get a pretty good idea.lol!!!
only a half day today @ work then i'll have time for a nap before the pines. yaay me!
all this slow pace @ work has me worried, usually a slow January means a wild & crazy.....valloween!!! yuck!

Coolish, but not bad here this morning where we stand at 47 degrees.
Fortunately, the high winds never developed yesterday and all in all it was really a pretty good day for January.
Should have another nice one today, with a gradual warming trend.
It's sprinkling a bit here.

The theme for this week's open house will be our first Milestone, the 300-day Season Window.
Door prize tickets will be issued and the one who holds the number 300 will be the winner.
Also, weather permitting, all the windows of the 'Pines will be thrown open in honor of the Milestone.

Good morning! On the way to work it was rainy and 60F. It's going to clear up and turn much cooler tonight. Lows around 30F tonight and my mom is cooking all day today,turkey and cornbread stuffing! I need to pick up a sara lee pumpkin pie on the way home from work. Last night I watched some Christmas movies I tivo'ed from hallmark last xmas season and did not realize how much I have missed already in the last month. I sure can't wait until holiday 2012. Less than 300 days until Halloween now!!! I can't wait for the pines tonight too. This week is flying by. my mom and sis are going to be here until sunday morning and I sure have enjoyed this visit! It looks like less than an inch of snow fell last night - my road is still all ice, though. I tried to catch up on the Countdown yesterday when I wasn't very far behind, but when I took a quick glance at the clock I realized that my break was almost over. Geesh, it went by fast! No time to catch up today - I hope this finds everyone well! I will be praying for all of you!

Has everyone heard about that cruise ship that turned over in Italy? I thought I had heard it all after the captain abanded ship and was arrested on manslaughter charges. That makes me so angry. Now I have read online that also grown men were pushing pregnant women and little kids out of the way so they could get off! I believe there is a special place in the afterlife for folks like that! i guess I will sound like my parents and say it's just a sign of the times we live in now. It's really hard to believe 100 years after titanic sank that a cruise ship can just take on water and sink like that. I sure hope that they find everyone that is missing. Last I heard it was 11 bodies found so far and a few dozen still missing. That story has haunted me this week and the photo's actually look photo shopped. I know they are real but it's looks so wierd,and they were actually so close to land. That is my rant of the day.. Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning MMC!

Never made it to Niagara yesterday, weather started getting bad and decided just to go home after Lindsay's appointment. Glad we did as temps dropped form +8c to -1c in just 3 hours. We also got some snow, not a lot but everything is looking white again...for a few days.

Kids company this afternoon, more hyper time and lots of singing (we are learning a musical in the next 8 weeks) "The Runaway" the musical story of Jonah for kids by Joe E. Parks.
Going to be fun!!!

Well I'll keep my comments about the crew to myself but it is shocking that a tradegy like that can happen now a days.
