it is snowing again...best enjoy it since it is going up to +7c on Sunday.
Good evening Christmas family !
It is snowing here at a pretty good clip and I am inside sitting on the loveseat with the fireplace roaring. The Christmas lights which are always on the mantle are lit and my tree is on as well. I am listening to Music Choice - Classical Masterpieces. They are playing Mozart's piano concerto no 27 in B-Fla Major -and it is beautiful !! Of all the composers Mozart is my very favorite !!! Though I also Love Beethoven and so many others xo
A relaxing day today. I am getting tired and bored with having to maintain my weight and went on an eating spree today - all comfort foods. I know one day does not mean weight gain but the thing is, I keep doing this. It is my pattern. I maintain weight loss for about two years then go wild. I really do not want to do that because I don't know if I would lose it again with my age and all. It felt good though to eat EXACTLY what I wanted (including cookies that aren't diet !! Shhhhhh!!) I signed up for an extra storage plan with Apple for my Ipod through Icloud. I don't understand how Icloud works or what it is. There is now 15 GB in Icloud but my overal Ipod just has 3.9 GB left. I hope the plan is worth it !!
Work called me tonight because radiology was way way behind. So I got on and typed a couple of hours and I work tomorrow morning too. The new schedule of 8-1/2 hours Mon-Thurs, then off Friday, work Saturday and off Sunday is NOT going to work. That extra half an hour KILLED me this week. I know it shouldn't have but it did.
I am not a Spring Chicken any more and in fact, this is one old dog who is pretty bad at learning new tricks. I hope I can find some resolution with my company. I asked if I could just work 38 hours a week and still do radiology on Saturday. I mean afterall, 38 hours is practically 40. I don't see what the major issue would be but I haven't heard anything back yet.
I just love my Time-Life book of Christmas !! There is another book I think you all would like that was a gift to me from my David several years ago. It is called "Christmas - Penhaligon's Scented Treasure of Verse and Prose" and it was edited by a lady named Sheila Pickles. It is circa 1989. It is just beautiful.

I haven't seen anything from Snowflake for a long time. I believe she was having problems getting on. I am praying for her and her baby, Harlowe. My Wish is a jolly old guy !! You would never know he is 15 - it is an honest-to-God miracle that he is still with me and doing so well.

Well, just arrived home from ballgame duty. This has been the longest week ever...and I had Monday off. Twelve hours Tuesday, Twelve Hours Wednesday, and 15 hours Thursday and Friday. Little more work in the morning, then tomorrow afternoon is off. Wifey has promised me she will rub my back tonight, so it's about to be off to lala land. I'm going to drink coffee and come here in the morning before work. See ya then!

Know what??? Cancer touches everyone. Today, I had to go to the Workman's Comp doctor who did my rotator cuff surgery. I told him what was going on. He told me that he had cancer in 1997 and his wife recently underwent surgery on her head. We had an excellent conversation!!! I immediately went to my primary care physician, and she was SO positive!!! And yesterday, my plastic surgeon said he is not accepting new patients for breast reconstrutive surgery (AT THIS TIME), BUT I had priority if I wanted it!!! God works in mysterious and miraculous ways!!!

She is doing ok and harlowe is pretty good as well. she seems to have blocked her acc. but she is in contact with jeff she did say to tell you all that she was thinking about you all and to say hi whch i did

good morning everyone

Have not been posting much but have been checking in on the posts
What a week i have had. mu next door neighour is 86 and her daughter was dying of cancer. well she died a week today. and she was beside herself. at the same time she had a really sore back and could hardly walk. so the family asked me to keep a eye on her so that they could be with the daughter to the end and do the wake( thats a irish thing) and funerial
I stayed with her during the funerial itself and she went to bed. she shouted she had to use the toilet and she could hardly move she was in that much pain. i had to ring for another person to help me get her up
To make a long story short when some on them came in after the funerial dinner told them that she needs a dr. so they got one and she is now in hospital and they say she has a chipped bone in her back
They are talking about bringing her home again when she can but she has the kind of family that will be there for a while . And people have been saying to me that another neighour and myself will be left to handle her when the homecare are not there..
They know i have certs in coping with older people. with handng and so on. but i dont think its gonna happen as she is only about 5/6 stone weight and they think she has brittle bone. If she went down on me or broke another bone i wood be the worst in the world so hard as it may seen am leaving then to that bit of it

Good morning, MMC! How are all of you on this fine winter morning? I am doing well. We have 6 inches of snow so far and it's still falling here. It looks so pretty outside. Everyone in my house is still sleeping. DS got up about 45 minutes ago. I thought it was for good, but he fell back to sleep.
I've got my cup of coffee here with me, ready for Binger, Coach, and the rest of you coffee drinkers!
Not too much to do this am. I think DH is going to take EA outside to play in this fun white stuff. I will have to stay inside with DS. Oh well...there is always next year! I am going to start going through the kids clothes that we need to resale or donate, then we have church at 5.
