what does she mean, we haven't seen nothing yet? are the hospitals gonna get worse, i don't see how ours here could.
Forgive me for posting that. We shouldn't worry about what hasn't happened yet and may not. But, this article in our paper today doesn't help.

We are knocking on that door ourselves (still a few years left!) and now stand a chance of loosing one of our incomes.

CHRISTMAS SEASON DAY #6 -- MILESTONE DAY

we have arrived at our FINAL MILESTONE, the 90 percent "home stretch" mark to Christmas Day!
Days to Christmas Day: 37 (Five weeks from the day after tomorrow!)
Days to Thanksgiving Day: 4 (Barely over HALF a week off!)
(I can almost see the perfomers in front of Macy's!)

wow! I have been so busy barely time to check in here never mind being able to pay attention the way I like to. 37 days leaves me going yikes!!
and also very excited.

read the article, that is just scary. I am going to have to check out my medical travel insurance and make sure it covers everything. Thanks for the heads up.

:-? I missed the Christmas Season extravaganza! Humbug on myself.

However, I was celebrating in my own special way, holding my merry friends dear.

In honour of our journey to the merry start of another joyous season, I present ... a song that came to me in the shower.

In case you have never heard or have forgotten the tune, here’s a link to Johnny Ray performing The Little White Cloud that Cried.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=myu_wBPfpxs
In the early 70’s when Liberace came to my town, the young Australian performer, Jamie Redfern, performed this song; my brother had the authographed album. The day of the countdown to the start of the season, the song was playing in my head and I started inserting my own Christmas thoughts into it and so came about my idea for this new song.

Searching For a Merry Feeling
Written by Auntie Mistletoe Dear (Based on the tune, ‘The Little White Cloud that Cried‘, by Johnny Ray)

I went searching for a merry feeling
I headed into the downtown core
Cedar boughs, lights and bows adorned the shops
Sale signs in every window and on every door

I went searching for a merry feeling
Spotted a couple huddled in a doorway, less fortunate than I
Carollers standing on every other corner
Church Bells resonating across the sky

I went searching for a merry feeling
Headed out onto a country road
I came upon a living Nativity
The wise farmer approached, carrying a heavy load

The stranger understood what I was seeking
And this is what I was told,
“If you are search for a merry feeling
You will search until your body turns cold.

I’m sure you know joy is something from within
Filled with the traditions and celebrations you hold dear
If it vanishes from your city
It’s up to you to keep it near.”

I went home feeling rather silly
For having doubted what I knew all along
The merry feeling we all hold deep inside
Pumps through me with a fresh new song.

I woke up from my daydream in the shower
Knowing I had to share with all my friends
The secret to keeping very merry at Christmas
Is sharing memories; I hope it never ends.

Festive Regards my Merry Friends,
A. Mistletoe

Hope your celebration is grand and your memories run deep!

LOL, Brad. I'll bet that dinner will be so special for Elizabeth, plus with the flowers the first time. How many performances will they do? Is everybody read to fly to Georgia for breakfast?
This afternoon at 2pm is the last of three performances, then we're going out tonight for the surprise dinner!

Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!

Elizabeth and the other wonderful performers in her group delivered another fine performance last night! It always amazes me when you see a young child who can execute such graceful moves on stage, but can't even pickup her dirty clothes from her bedroom floor! LOL

Gotta get the house moving for church. I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Well mmc how yours sunday going?
I have the fenceing all painted
A while back i got some of the street decor that used to be put up in the town about 10 years ago so i took some of them and sat and took them apart i took mostly lanterns about 2 foot high so have them stripped down just to leave the lantern shell . have to rewire them i might put a couple together again and a few i might keep in 2 halfs ,put a back on them so they can go on a wall really like them they look victorian looking

Reading your posts about Elizabeth's dancing brings back beautiful memories for me, Brad!

Our beautiful, graceful daughter Jordyn began dancing at age three. That first year she was in the Nutcracker! I thoroughly enjoyed my days/years as a dance dad and also enjoy reading your posts as you experience the joy of being a dad! (I also have a son [Shaun]!)

The wonderful memories you bring back so vividly for me are the ones you are now storing for yourself! Treasure these moments! They pass quickly but give way to even more treasures, all in their own good time!

Here's something perhaps for your future, Brad; Jordyn, now twenty-four, teaches ballet at the studio (though in a different building) where she learned dance all those years! Plus, she now keeps a tidy house even with a sixteen month old boy named River.

Two children plus their two spouses plus four (thus far) grandchildren equals blessings galore!

On a side note, BradMac, wait until Elizabeth is a teenager to introduce her to Spike Jones' version of the Nutcracker Suite. She'll love it! (So will you if you've never heard it which you should have if you regularly listen to the 'Mistletoe Mix' on MCR!)

The final milestone...my how far we have come....hasn't it been fun? The best part is that so much fun remains....we still have Thanksgiving...the parade....Christmas Eve, Christmas.....and the Darlene Love show....

Yesterday was magical! My Mom (yes I'm a mother's boy) went shopping with us...I know that yall probably think "Crap Ballcoach...does Mom go everywhere with yall?" Yea, she does! My Dad is home about 10 days a year (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas) and my brother only comes home during Christmas (and barely returns her calls), so I feel like I'm her protector...anyways....

We went to eat, we looked at Christmas decor, Mom bought one of those easy snap trees that we see on QVC, and we all had a Pumpkin Spice Latte...

On a serious note....

Mecka, I'm truly sorry. You and Bo are in my thoughts....

Britt...I've been there. My ex-girlfriend (who was my fiancé) cheated on me as we were 6 months away from our wedding date...all because she said she was alone and I worked too much. Hello!!!! No one else was working and we had bills! There are no words that can make it easier. But some steps in life are harder to take more than others, but they all lead us to where we are supposed to be....had it not been for her wanting to move...had it not been for her pushing me to take the job that I didn't want...I would have never found my wife...and let me tell ya...I'm so glad that she was in my life because she led me to the love of my life...sending you my love, thoughts, and prayers....

and if you need it....I still got a mean ballcoach bat swing....I can bust some kneecaps for you if I need...

Just kidding....well...kinda....maybe....

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a beautiful week here in Central Indy. High's in the mid 50's to low 60's all week. Perfect!! It also appears that are big snow storm is going to hold off until around the 27th. I went to the early church service this morning and then hit the grocery store before it got to busy. Now I'm going to kick back and watch Thanksgiving live on food network, then the last Nascar race of the year. I'll probably watch some of the Colts game too. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Yikes!!! I need to get a move on. I'm way behind.

((((Meceka)))))......I know that Bo was not my baby but ever since I read of his passing I have not been able to stop crying. I never even met him but I just know he was the sweetest boy............I am leaving his name in my shoutout to furkids for now if it is okay. Words will not express the sorrow I feel for your loss xo

Thank you, CM3, for caring about Bo so much! He knows now how much he was loved and I'm sure he is honored to still have his name in your shoutout to furkids ~ I know I am! {{{HUGS}}}
